This Starbucks is convenient and I will say there are a few stand out baristas there, but there are also some baristas who can't make a good drink. It's bad when I internally wince when certain baristas handle my drink order because even if they take time with it, it ends up tasting so bad for some reason. I almost feel bad, but it's very puzzling to me. There's also some baristas who are have a pretty crabby attitude. I don't love that, considering this is a convenient location to the metro and everything. The customer service lacks a certain standard. I will say this is not about all the baristas, but I had a recent encounter with two baristas that wasn't all too positive. The two stars are for the baristas that have been nothing but pleasant every time I've been here. Unfortunately, I'll probably be setting my sights at a different coffee shop just because of the baristas that haven't been all too professional or kind. read more

I've stopped by here a few times before going to movies at the nearby theater. The employees are friendly. The service is very quick (Note: I haven't been there at crunch times, so I can't comment there, but they move faster than they have to outside of that). The drinks and food are prepared properly (if you don't like Starbucks, that won't help, but if you do, you won't be disappointed in the drink quality). It's not huge and there's nothing special about the facility, but sitting inside is comfortable enough, they have a good amount of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice, and it's in a pleasant area. read more

It is a Starbucks location and unremarkable in all other respects, which is to say it's solid. Wouldn't call all the staff "friendly," but they are respectful and efficient. The other negative reviews are really baffling because I'm here once a week for years, pre-redesign, and I've never had an issue. read more

Order was correct, but it took forever for anyone to greet me or take my order. The lady, didn't catch her name, but she appeared to be Asian, who finally helped me was rude AF! No smile, no pleasantries, nothing. I was trying to ask her about a promotion/special, but she cut me off to provide an answer. I calmed here Friday 9/1 around noon time and the man at the register took my order which was a short double shot mocha with oat milk and all I have to say is that this was the absolute worst Starbucks coffee I've never had. It tasted like sink water or water you washed a dog in. I'm sorry. I love Starbucks. All my k-cups are Starbucks and I'm a Starbucks girl 100% but this was bad. Horrible and a waste a money including the tall green matcha latte I got for my dad. Such a nice location but poor baristas. Please practice on your skills. read more

Ok, so this is a Starbucks, but it's hands-down the *best* Starbucks in the DMV area. The partners here are all just the greatest, friendliest group of folks you'll ever meet, and the manager Kris is incredible! Sometimes, she even draws on cups/windows/signs and she's a great artist! In short, customer service here is beyond incredible. They learn your usual order really fast, and most of the baristas make drinks really well and in a very reasonable amount of time. I haven't seen them really mess up any orders (in fact, they make the matcha latte here so well! So many other locations make it with lots of chunks of matcha floating around, but the folks here take the time to shake it properly and make it smooth), and they do a good job with larger coffee orders and the big to-go jugs, too. There's a decent amount of seating in the front and a big table in the back near the restrooms. It gets crowded during mid-morning, especially with NSF next door. There's also some seating outside if the weather is nice. Parking here is limited - a few spots in front plus the free one hour parking for the center. It's right across from metro and multiple bus stops, though, so it's very convenient. If you need a dose of positivity and warmth to go with your coffee/tea/sandwich, this is most definitely the place to get it! read more

Me and my brother alway stop here before the movies or after depend what time is my ride pick me up. Here my review. This Starbucks is like any other Starbucks. But this has a movie theater. Good place to read in the same area. Easy to metro and the REX metro bus stop just outside the door. There only three location for plug outlet. Line the place order is crazy. Staff is nice and try to be quick in getting your order. Remember is a Starbucks and not a mom and pop store were you can run up and get a fast cup of coffee. Please take your time and now what you what to order. Coffee is always good. Sandwich is good and also there breakfast. Some other items are way over price. But its Starbucks. I would like to say my updated review is better than my last, but alas, it is still the same. This. Place. Is. So. Slow. Love the people, but they have the hardest time multitasking. There are some new faces here (working) and while they are just as friendly, they are still just as disorganized. I don't know if there is just an influx of people that cause them to be backed up, but they never seem to be 'ahead' of the crowd (or even lack thereof). I started this review when I walked in. My daughter and I are visiting the area and walked into this Starbucks on our way back to our hotel. The barista was not very friendly but then forgot to give us part of our order. We didn't realize until we arrive back to our hotel that our snack was not added to the bag. When I called the store the same guy answered the phone, when I told him we were missing something, he said oh you mean the bagel? I said no it was a scone. This revealed that we were not the only people missing something from their order. He did refund money back to my Starbucks card, so I am thankful for that. My suggestion would be to be a little more friendly and pay attention to details! read more

I would rate this Starbucks 15 stars out of five, if I could. Where do I start? How about with the fabulous people there: from Kris (Manager) to Addis; to Jake (Superman); to Jared (Good Man); to Charlie everyone just brings there amazing personalities to this Starbucks and that is what makes this a truly amazing place to go. I have been frequenting this place for over five years and cannot fault these guys one bit. Most Starbucks employees are nice enough, but the folks here really stand out. There's always a friendly greeting and they learned my name almost instantly, even though I come in sporadically. And I'm not the only one - it seems most people walking through the door are greeted by name. It's not that Starbucks makes a bad cup of coffee...it doesn't. It's just that there are so many locally-owned coffee houses which sell and/or brew better coffee. Starbucks are insanely prevalent, therefore, there's one practically across the street. So, it's on this evening that Starbucks became my "coffee house of last resort" as tomorrow is a Monday and I was out of coffee. I like my coffee black, no cream, no sugar, and I certainly don't want to pay $5 for a coffee with more Italian or French words in it than a foreign film. I buy whole beans, grind them, and brew my own coffee. The Starbucks had a decent selection of bags of whole beans so I bought a pound. Service was good (although no women on duty). It has a nice layout, and plenty of room. The bathrooms were clean, and the service was good. I tried, I really did, to not write a review for this Starbucks, but ya know what, I just can't help myself. I have had slower service at a Starbucks in N.C. but damn, this place is just hit or miss. Sometimes, good, sometimes not so good. Today was not so good, and not so much, hey, maybe it's Mercury in Retrograde that has me all pissed off, but damn if this place doesn't get my blood boiling. I ordered a grande Salty Caramel Mocha and a Spinach/Feta/Egg Wrap. Paid for it. Then was told there were no more wraps. Fine, but the cashier must not have heard my order or the fact that there were no more. Ok - got it. Refund coming. What gets me is, they usually run out of wraps. Like, ALL THE TIME. NBD. Wait for my Mocha - oh - what's that - Skinny something something not Mocha? Grreaatt -- I'll just wait a little while longer while you make the right grande. I tried not to be peeved. I tried to be patient, not let it get to me, but DAMMIT, it happens waaaayyy tooo much at this Starbucks. So, if you want a reg cup o' Joe, nothing fancy, and you don't want a spinach wrap, this is the place for you. It's Starbucks, what can I say. This one is pretty good. There is limited parking which can make it hard sometimes, so it's ideal to use mobile ordering. Most of the staff is pretty nice. There is a reasonable amount of seating and outdoor seating. My favorite drink is an iced caramel macchiato with light ice but on most days I'll get an iced coffee with caramel and add half and half for fewer calories. They have a wide variety of snack options too, right now I'm a huge fan of the cookie butter bar. read more
