Always reliable for a quick coffee or a place to sit down and be productive! The staff is always friendly and I love the open amount of sunlight you can get while still sitting inside plus the Chicken Chorizo Wrap is amazing! This is always my go to whenever I need to get out of the house and go somewhere where I know exactly what I'm getting! read more

Stopped by Peet's and overall it was a solid experience. There was a slightly longer wait than expected, but nothing too crazy. The vibe makes up for it. Nice setup, comfortable, and a good little area to sit and get some work done or just relax for a bit. It feels like one of those spots you can hang out in without feeling rushed. Coffee was good and consistent with what you'd expect. Overall a cool spot, just be ready for a bit of a wait depending on the time. read more

Representing 2019 in alphabet series, P is for Peet's. I went to this Peet's a few times as it was conveniently located in the heart of Shirlington right by AMC Shirlington. It's pretty small inside. Drinks are good but were always a bit more expensive than some coffee dates. Staff has generally been friendly. They have some outdoor seating as well, which is a nice option. They also sometimes have the gate up if the weather is good to bring the outside air in. The last time I was there I was annoyed though, which was in May 2024. I got there at about 2:45 ordered my drink, and then set up my computer to WiFi. The guy warned me we were closing at 3 PM today. I'm like oh great might've been good to have seen a sign on the door or been warned ahead of ordering, but I used the outside seating, which worked ok. But I was dealing with the Sun glare, and it was bit on the warmer side than I would've liked, but I made due. The other issue with outside seating when WiFi is no place to charge my computer, but thankfully I had enough juice to finish my work. Drink was still great per usual. read more

Service here is great. The employees always greet you and are very courteous. I haven't gotten everything on the menu , I've tried coffee, cappuccino, couple of the iced coffees and scones and croissants and they are all good. The store has a good vibe to it . Doesn't have much indoor seating and some people do stay a long time at a table to take advantage of the free wifi. read more

Just a quick shout up to the staff yesterday morning, 7/11/24. Their energy and engagement with their customers was on point! I only happened to be in the Shirlington area yesterday morning so too bad I can't make this Peet's location my daily coffee stop. I could honestly tell how much their regular customers enjoy their morning visits here. Plus, ANY coffee shop that can make my "dirty iced sugar free vanilla, oak milk latte" correctly gets 5 stars automatically! :) read more

I used to truly love Peet's but for me it's just overly sweet and processed. For every bump of sugar or flavoring I can taste how artificial it is. Service here is amazing and it's conveniently located in shirlington. Small shop with limited seating inside and out. read more

Their pastries are always good. The coffee. I swear it's hit or miss. I got a decaf today with caramel & almond milk. Got neither. The coffee is very strong and as I'm not there to return it, it'll get tossed. They are always nice but the baristas don't seem to talk to the cashiers. They're clean and have a great look to them. Just be aware of what you get when you order there. This isn't my first bad coffee there. More like the fourth. Tired of wasting money of their coffee. The walk to DD is worth it. read more

I usually enjoy Peet's and their great variety of pastries, which is why I was excited to visit this location for the first time on Saturday morning around 9 AM. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. There was no greeting when I walked in, and the employee who took my order came across as passive-aggressive. Another staff member (wearing glasses) had a similar attitude. I didn't catch their names because I felt uncomfortable and just wanted to leave quickly. I understand everyone can have an off day, but the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. It's unfortunate because employee demeanor can really shape how customers feel about an otherwise great business. 2 stars for the great food selection and coffee. read more

Love this Peet's location! The matcha latte is consistently good and the baristas are always friendly. This location is a little small but I've never had issues finding seating or parking. I always order ahead on the app and never had to wait for my order! I hope they start opening the garage door since the weather is warmer :) read more

Tried to order (in the app) the 2 Elote Tacos for the Cinco de Mayo on 05/05 for $8 but every time I tried to check out it said (something to the effect) that I needed to add something else to qualify for this reward. I checked terms and there was no verbiage that a purchase was required to qualify. I just gave up. read more

I was in the area and needed some coffee. Stopped by Peet's. I can't remember the exact name of the latte but I think it was a White Chocolate Mocha. It was good it was not weak at all. Customer service was great as always. I'll be back of course when I'm ok this side of town! read more

TJ is the best- I know if they're working in the morning I'm going to be in good hands! They're friendly, quick and efficient and very consistent. Love this location and their seasonal options. Much prefer this to other chain options and enjoy the outdoor seating/wifi. I will say that there are a few other employees who are often arguing in the back or aren't as helpful but I don't want this to detract from how awesome the overall experience is. read more

I love that they have a vegan breakfast option that isn't just fruit or granola! I ordered the vegan everything breakfast sandwich. It's beyond sausage patty with just egg and vegan cheese on an everything bagel. I'm not a fan of most vegan cheese used but it was yummy! I ordered on the app and it was ready before I arrived. I didn't give 5 stars only because the orders seemed to be tossed in an inconspicuous spot at the end of the counter with no sign stating that's where you pick up your order. Anyone could just walk up and grab the to-go orders so I did not like that. Pros: - The sandwich was a bit pricey at almost $8 but I liked it. - cool coffee shop vibes - quick pick up if you order from the app - decent prices - friendly baristas Cons: -parking sucks and is metered in Shirlington - not having a clearly marked spot for pick up orders where they are somewhat monitored read more

Stop by Peets in Shirlington every time I am in the neighborhood. Great location, always great service and amazing coffee.

I'm a tea person therefore I automatically choose Chaitea with almond milk. It was okay. Not much of a Chai taste. It felt like a splash of Chai in a medium size cup. The worse part, the almond gave me a reaction and caused me a huge headache. I'm actually allergic to a certain ingredient that some almond milk have. Since I don't know the brand, I ended up sick. Lesson learned. Overall, this particular spot is cute and has a small outdoor seating. It does get a wave of crowds. Of you like coffee, my friend recommends here. But for tea, choose elsewhere. read more

A chain that's everywhere, but so much better than Starbucks. Baristas are actually baristas, not random high school students at a part time job. I like that there are options from light to medium to dark roasts. The beans seem fresh and never over-roasted and the milk is frothed to the right temperature. It's surprising that a chain can get it so right! read more

I want to give this place three stars due to the size but as packed as it gets, most times I'm able to find some kind of seat, either inside or outside. It's a nice alternative to the library and there are a variety of views of Shirlington depending where you sit. Peet's Coffee like Starbucks is pretty much the same across the board with what you get but this one is Shirlington's only coffee spot so that alone makes me like it. So perhaps it is Shirlington itself that makes me give the good rating but what does it matter? It's a nice place to drink coffee and chill anytime one feels like doing so. read more

Great neighborhood spot. Was never Peet's person before but I've been converted. The staff here really stands out! They are super friendly to the point you almost feel like you're in a small town. My only minor gripes are that the beverages made with syrup often have way too much - even when asking for in person or on the app "light syrup". There is also very limited seating indoors. And to address some comments about parking, there are free lots in shirlington. One before the citizen apartment building and one at Harris Teeter. Half block walk from both. read more

Perfect coffee EVERY TIME! Strong and rich coffee flavor without tasting bitter or burnt. This location has a neighborhood feel and vibe. The baristas are friendly and call me by name. Great location and hours in quaint Shirlington. read more

Yes, Peet's is a chain but it does not have that same unfriendly and corporate vibe that Starbucks gives off. They have adapted well to the social distancing protocols and seem to serve a majority of customers through mobile orders. The reason I came here was the power was off in my building in the morning and I had an appointment and needed coffee prior to it. I was able to walk right up and order. I went for an iced coffee, black. The coffee quality was better than Starbucks, far less bitter. I also ordered the croque monsieur breakfast sandwich, and it was far, far better than Starbuck's breakfast sandwiches. I was happy with my order and would patronize this location (and others) in the future. read more

Such a friendly staff!!! I came in on Valentine's Day, and I could literally see the smiles in their eyes!!! They were getting ready to close down (so sorry!!!!!! I HATE coming in 30min - 1 hour before closing anywhere....). They stopped their closing prep (pretty much all the staff except 1!!!) to take my order!!! They helped me with the menu and recommendations! My fiancé doesn't really care for anything that's not black coffee. BUT HE DRANK MOST OF MY COFFEE!!! 165% will return!! Drink came in very quickly!! And the entire staff all said goodbye to us, regardless of working on closing!! I love this place!!!!!! read more

Orderd a small vanilla latte. A little pricey for such a small size. Latte was a little strong in flavor.

I've only been by for chai and Peet's does it well. I like the layout of the place. Even when its packed, the line moves because the Peet's team rolls. When the weather is nice, they open the windows so that's cool. I haven't tried to do work or post up in Peet's so I can't vouch for it but the life looks nice. I need to hurry up and download the Peet's app since I joined the Peetnik program, but I never have space on my phone to download the app and take advantage of the perks. If you have space on your phone and/or a better phone than me, they offer plenty of promo items. The team is very nice and they always plug the program, not in a pushy way but in a "just lookin out," way. They've recently added a shaker of turmeric where you pick your drinks up at so to quote Ice Cube..."Shake 'em up, shake 'em up, shake 'em up, shake em." read more

Much like the Peet's that my buddy and I went to in northern Maryland, this place serves some outstanding coffee. I ordered an iced latte with whole milk. My buddy ordered a mocha. Both drinks came out tasting awesome. Even though a latte is pretty simple, some places completely miss it. Well, this place is not like that. I can tell that their coffee is made of quality ingredients. My buddy had nothing but good to say about his mocha. This Peet's is located in a shopping center in northern Virginia. Parking can be found along the street, but is far easier to come across in the parking structure. I lucked out and found a spot just a stone's throw away from this shop. The workers are efficient in their service, and the place is clean. The ambient is peaceful, and the patrons are a fine bunch. I would definitely repeat. read more
