I would rather die than go here, the service sucks and the food is just okay if your 50yrs old than you might love it. :)

Haifa Grill - Beef shawarma on shrak

Went here to pick up lunch based on the Instagram recommendation of @yazieatsgood...THANK YOU!…read more As recommended, we got the shawarma on shrak - one chicken, one beef - both with all the trimmings: lettuce, onions covered in sumac, pickle, garlic spread, hummus...there were probably other things, too, but I've forgotten. You can also make your shawarma spicy with a red hot pepper relish. When they are preparing your shawarma you get to pick which items you want (kind of like Chipotle- but MUCH better). Both were absolutely delicious. The meat is delicately spiced and not overcooked- moist and flavorful. We got the combo which comes with fries and a soda. Fries are nothing special so you can skip them because the important thing to know is that these shawarma are HUGE! I could barely eat half of mine. It's a very good value for the price. We were going to try one of their platters and get the mixed grill which comes with rice, but they let us know that takes 15 minutes and we didn't have time to wait. Next time! It's a very small space, maybe 4 tables so it looks like most people get their food to go. The staff are very kind and patiently answered questions. Our shawarma came out pretty quickly, too. I forgot to take pictures- next time!

I got the beef shawarma on shrak and it was delicious, and it was such a huge and hefty portion that I could only manage half for dinner. The rest for a meal the following day. It was flavorful and I was able to select what I wanted as my toppings. I have to return another time and try other proteins... but knowing myself, I may just stick with the same order because it was so good. I would recommend to-go order here.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant…read more This Yemeni/Lebanese restaurant is located in a small strip mall in Falls Church, definitely had to use google maps. The outside looks simple/plain, but the inside is just exquisite, sets the mood. The place was pretty much empty when we came (except for 2 tables), but I'm sure they are very lively at night, especially with the happy hour. We came strictly for the crème brûlée iced latte and the milk cake. The drink is made with whole milk, I wish I asked for an alternative/non-dairy milk, but otherwise the drink was perfect. I appreciate the barista/chef made extra effort to make it perfect, especially because I was recording/taking pics. I wanted to try the nutella or pistachio milk cake, but they only had saffron and fruity pebble, so saffron was the winner. It was pretty good, but I wasn't a big fan of the toppings. The customer service was good, the server taking orders didn't really understand our request, so he had to bring out the barista/chef making the drink. Otherwise, they both were attentive and friendly. There is some parking available in front of the strip mall, but I'm sure it can get packed during peak time. Would I return? probably not because it was too far and quite pricey.

The lamb is usually one of their special dishes. It is perfectly soft, but the rice to meat ratio…read morewas a bit high. For some reason, they were out of salad, which was a really weird thing, but also that meant that all of their salad dishes were absent. Thus, when we ordered the lamb Mandi...it just came with meat and rice.... The samosas were good. I would choose the one with the meat crispy on the inside with a little bit of meat filling. I was very impressed by the lotus latte. Keep in mind that it is just the biscoff cookie Latte, but it was very sweet and still have the coffee taste. What really came for was the saffron milk cake. We also got the fruity pebble milkshake because we misunderstood the waiter and thought he said bubble tea milk cake and we were interested. The fruity pebble milk cake is probably just good for the kids who like really sweet cereals--wouldn't recommend. The saffron milk cake was more fragrant, and to my friend it actually tasted sweeter. It's like a Tres leches cake but mixed with more middle eastern flavors and fragrances

Jerusalem is so pretty and is beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and service was excellent. I think they were concerned we did not eat enough. Their buffet is huge! The food was delicious. My favorite was the lamb mandi and rice. The lentil soup was delicious. Their pita is so good. There are plenty of vegetarian options. I loved dessert and the tea with it. Jerusalem offers great fresh juices as well. I'm looking forward to returning when I'm hungrier and I cannot wait.

Recently found out they are Palestinian owned and have a buffet option which is a great time to explore their menu. Charm: 10/10 It's beautifully decorated. As soon as you walk in it feels like you're in a different country. The authenticity permeates through everything. There's even a mini-museum near the front entrance. Food: 10/10 I've only had the shwarma's and fries but considering how consistently amazing they've been and overall charm, I have much faith in the rest of the menu. Service: 10/10 Everyone I've encountered has always been super friendly with reasonable wait times for food.
