This is a hidden gem that popped up on my news feed one day from the recommendation of others. The owner is very kind and great service. I got the turkish coffee and a simit (Turkish bagel) that was freshly baked and delicious. The borek ran out unfortunately and the next batch wouldn't be available for at least 20 minutes. There are several rugs that you can dine one and its perfect activity on a sunny day. Just to note, there is no indoor seating so I wouldn't come on a rainy day. I stopped by after I worked out in a nearby gym.

Wonderful and unique Turkish style food truck with basic desserts like baklava, plus different flavors of coffee and tea, as well as fabric chairs with intricate designs. The owner is super friendly as well! They also take cash or credit. Overall, this is a great place to relax in the middle of the hustle and bustle on a nice day in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington, yet still have a great feeling of relaxation. I will eventually come back!

Absolutely delightful!! (and the coffee came with a bit of Turkish Delight). Incredibly wonderful setting. I loved the experience of sitting on a Persian rug with a cushion...enjoying a morning coffee like a Sultan! Such a warm reception and individualized service, it makes for one of the best morning "dates" with my significant other!

A really cute and great coffee stand in Arlington. We got the Turkish coffee and the Turkish coffee mocha. They were both very good and not too sweet (I got the medium sweetness level), but you can always adjust the sweetness to your liking. The mocha was a mixture of Turkish coffee and spiced hot chocolate, and that was really good too! The seats are also very cute. The owner was very friendly too! Highly recommend :)

I especially appreciate the thoughtful presentation, tableware and glassware. One of my favorite go-tos for lunch is the Chicken Shawarma with salad. Light, healthy and tasty, presented on a board. They pride themselves as a healthier spot and the food definitely reflected that. We started off with drinks (they only do happy hour at the bar) and got the Mojito and the mediteranean martini. Both were good but the purple mojito was definitely the star of the show. For appetizers we got the "fried" cauliflower and the hot appetizer platter. The cauliflower definitely felt more baked then fried and the portion was quite fair. The hot appetizer platter comes with 2 cheese rolls, 2 falafels, and two kibehs. I will say, for $17, I would love perhaps 3-4 of each item instead of just 2 each. The kibeh were super tasty and so were the cheese rolls, but the falafel were a bit dry. For our mains we got the lamb chops and the steak kabob - both were fantastic. Simple flavors but really well done on both ends, with both cuts of meat cooked to order. I will say, I would love a little bit more side veggies- especially for the $45 dollar lamb chops but I assume they expect you to order more sides like we did. Quick service, Arlington prices, a bit cold inside on a cold day. Will definitely be back to try more!

Happy Hour review…read more Amazing happy hour with a great selection of cocktails and small bites from 3-6pm. Service: the bartender lacked personality so I wouldn't call her service good. The host however, was very friendly and warm Ambiance: this place is beautiful and everything you'd love in a restaurant that has earned its Michelin place! We only came for a quick drink and bite because we had somewhere else to go but we will return for dinner. Drinks: I had the Turkish Raki Berry which was really refreshing. Think of a smoothie, non-smoothie, with liquor in it lol I loved it. My boyfriend really enjoyed his whiskey sour Bites: The falafels were delicious! Everything you'd want in a well seasoned falafel. Again, we came here for a quick drink and bite but couldn't help but notice the extensive dinner menu, all of which sparked our desire to visit soon.

Stopped by on my way out from DC before heading to the airport. I got to try their ayran, lahmacun, baklava with ice cream. I will first say that the interior of the place is certainly beautiful, and the staff seems to be fairly nice as well. Bit formal. But, in terms of the food, I just wasn't that impressed. The lahmacun just lacked flavor. There was very little spice; in fact, for whatever reason, it almost tasted a bit sweet. The ayran was also a letdown. Usually, I love ayran, but this one just tasted like milk. At least it was served in a cool metal container. They served some complimentary bread too, which was nice, but even that seemed a bit industrial. For dessert, I got to try the baklava with ice cream. It's nothing to write home about, in full honesty. Bit dry, not much flavor. All in all, I was a bit disappointed. It s a gorgeous spot, but the food just fell a bit short for me. Maybe I'll come back to try some kebabs.

The Musakka dishes are served with a side of rice pilaf and the Omelete with a side of fries. Bottom line - all three of us found the entrees to be bland. In fairness, I have only had Greek Musakka before, but I expected more seasoning and flavor, and my friend (the vegetarian) noted that they didn't get a hint of Bechamel - only mozzarella. I tend to agree the entree was heavy on the mozzarella and light on other flavors. We agreed that the rice was very good, both in texture and mild flavor. The french fries also were very good. The service here continues to be beyond excellent. Really good service. If I could give 3.5 as a score, I would, because the service was exceptional. But this is the second time I was here and both times found the entree to be bland. Maybe that's how Turkish food is - if so, please let me know, but I doubt it. The restaurant, which is very attractive and comfortable inside, has been around for 45 years and has an average Yelp score of 4.2. So obviously, a lot of people like it. The restaurant had our orders ready when we got there and they were 100% accurate and well organized. My interaction with them was very limited, but the staff was nice enough. There is metered street parking available for those wishing to park here, but that parking is somewhat difficult to get. We ended up parking in a loading zone area, running in and getting our food. They serve items such as Russian soups and salads, desserts, shashlyk, vareniki, goluptsi, plov, beef stroganoff, chicken kiev, pelmeni, and dolma. They also have beer, wine, infused vodka shots and mixed drinks to wash your food down. I ordered Manti and a slice of Russian Honey Cake. My food was really good. The cake was delicious as well. My major complaint, as well as everyone else in my group, was that the portion size was very small, especially considering the price. Most of us were still hungry after eating our meal. But again, the food was tasty. This is a great place to get you Russian food fix. The food is good, I just wish that there was more of it.

The vibe is so cozy and warm and the service is impeccable. The food is delicious we loved everything we had and we had plenty! Things that stood out and you shouldn't miss are the Hungkar Begendi which is lamb with creamy eggplant SO delicious and warm (perfect during this cold weather). The pomegranate salad was simple and so fresh. The smoked eggplant with peppers and garlic starter paired with their house bread is bursting with flavor (I love eggplant dishes). The manti was also great! The only underwhelming dish personally was the stuffed grape leaves. I felt like they were understuffed if that makes sense and a tad watered down. For dessert we had the Tel Kadayif which was a baklava topped with Phyllo which felt like a fun mix between kunafa and baklava. Simple sweet and the perfect ending to the meal.
