She essentially cut the dress in half and remade a whole new dress. She added thicker straps, hemmed the bottom beautifully, removed a layer of unnecessary fabric, added breast pads, and gave me a beautiful shape by fixing the whole top half. So of course, I turned to Yelp to find my best options. There was a shop in Medford, MA in my hometown, but based on Lynn's good reviews I decided to trek all the way to North Andover. If you are coming from the 93, be prepared to drive through a national forest (pretty cool and calming to be honest) to get here, but trust me... it's worth your trip. Lynn does a FANTASTIC job on alternations. She listened to what I wanted, gave advice and suggestions (and yes, she knows her stuff) but ultimately what made me love her the most was how easy she was to work with. I went 4x to try my dress and towards the end I made a very late decision to take out the push up part of my bust (sorry TMI!) and she worked with me and even went in early two days later so I could try it on before I left for my wedding. I cannot say I was the easiest bride, but I can say she was ALWAYS so pleasant to work with. There are comments below about her price points, while I will say wedding dress or formal dress alternations are NOT cheap, it really matters with quality of the alterations. Wedding dresses are not "one size fits all" in fact mine was way too big for me and Lynn did a perfect job to get my dress to flatter my body type. So in the end I was and still am willing to pay $ for good alternations and exceptional customer service. The comments I got on how fitted my dress was were insurmountable and I truly felt like a beautiful bride on my wedding day. Other plus' about her shop are that it's off the Turnpike in North Andover, not too far from 93 and there is always plenty of parking. I drove to see Lynn from Medford and it wasn't that bad of a ride. Definitely call to make an appointment, you won't regret it!
