I brought 3 shirts and 3 pairs of pants to Ser-Vis on Monday morning and asked if they could press them by the end of that day. They said yes happily and they were indeed ready as promised. They did, however, put creases in my pants when I expressly asked them not to, but the shirts were done perfectly. The staff was VERY friendly (I believe the owners were the ones I spoke to) and they said they would be happy to help out anytime with any of my pressing/dry cleaning needs. Overall, very friendly people willing to do a quick-turnaround with their service. I'll be taking my cleaning there regularly. UPDATE: I wrote the above review several months ago, and this business has since had a change in ownership. I must say I've found the new staff to be less friendly than the previous staff. I don't always get a greeting or thanks, and I tried to use my debit card once (my total cost was over the posted minimum for such transactions) and the man on duty grumbled and really hesitated as if he didn't want to bother to use the credit card machine. I had some cash on me and paid with that to avoid the hassle. I have not noticed any difference in how my clothes are handled, but they still lose a star for the less-friendly service.

As some have said below me the one catch is Abdu is not cheap. If you walk in expecting to pay what you pay at your local Chinese run dry cleaners, you'll be blown away. For him to fix a sleeve, let the pants out, and take the waist in on the jacket, with the typical hem job cost $173. I must admit I was taken back at his prices, but his work is first rate and good luck trying to find something better. Thank god I took the leap of faith with him.

If I could give more than five stars I would!…read more I found Lynn's Perfect Stitches from the preferred seamstress list given to my by my bridal shop. So of course, I turned to Yelp to find my best options. There was a shop in Medford, MA in my hometown, but based on Lynn's good reviews I decided to trek all the way to North Andover. If you are coming from the 93, be prepared to drive through a national forest (pretty cool and calming to be honest) to get here, but trust me... it's worth your trip. Lynn does a FANTASTIC job on alternations. She listened to what I wanted, gave advice and suggestions (and yes, she knows her stuff) but ultimately what made me love her the most was how easy she was to work with. I went 4x to try my dress and towards the end I made a very late decision to take out the push up part of my bust (sorry TMI!) and she worked with me and even went in early two days later so I could try it on before I left for my wedding. I cannot say I was the easiest bride, but I can say she was ALWAYS so pleasant to work with. There are comments below about her price points, while I will say wedding dress or formal dress alternations are NOT cheap, it really matters with quality of the alterations. Wedding dresses are not "one size fits all" in fact mine was way too big for me and Lynn did a perfect job to get my dress to flatter my body type. So in the end I was and still am willing to pay $ for good alternations and exceptional customer service. The comments I got on how fitted my dress was were insurmountable and I truly felt like a beautiful bride on my wedding day. Other plus' about her shop are that it's off the Turnpike in North Andover, not too far from 93 and there is always plenty of parking. I drove to see Lynn from Medford and it wasn't that bad of a ride. Definitely call to make an appointment, you won't regret it!
