If I could give more than five stars I would! I found Lynn's Perfect Stitches from the preferred seamstress list given to my by my bridal shop. So of course, I turned to Yelp to find my best options. There was a shop in Medford, MA in my hometown, but based on Lynn's good reviews I decided to trek all the way to North Andover. If you are coming from the 93, be prepared to drive through a national forest (pretty cool and calming to be honest) to get here, but trust me... it's worth your trip. Lynn does a FANTASTIC job on alternations. She listened to what I wanted, gave advice and suggestions (and yes, she knows her stuff) but ultimately what made me love her the most was how easy she was to work with. I went 4x to try my dress and towards the end I made a very late decision to take out the push up part of my bust (sorry TMI!) and she worked with me and even went in early two days later so I could try it on before I left for my wedding. I cannot say I was the easiest bride, but I can say she was ALWAYS so pleasant to work with. There are comments below about her price points, while I will say wedding dress or formal dress alternations are NOT cheap, it really matters with quality of the alterations. Wedding dresses are not "one size fits all" in fact mine was way too big for me and Lynn did a perfect job to get my dress to flatter my body type. So in the end I was and still am willing to pay $ for good alternations and exceptional customer service. The comments I got on how fitted my dress was were insurmountable and I truly felt like a beautiful bride on my wedding day. Other plus' about her shop are that it's off the Turnpike in North Andover, not too far from 93 and there is always plenty of parking. I drove to see Lynn from Medford and it wasn't that bad of a ride. Definitely call to make an appointment, you won't regret it! read more

Lynn's Perfect Stitches - Words can't express how thankful I am to Lynn for how my dress turned out. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - North Andover, Massachusetts

Spent over 150 to get a dress taken in and it was a terrible fit, with stitching coming out. I had to bring the dress to another seamstress with less than 1 week to go for the event and spend even more money. read more

I have come to Lynn for two dresses for a formal event. Lynn knows what she is doing: she provides helpful advice while also making sure your gown looks stunning when all her hard work is done. Thank you for your excellent service, I will be back for my next "bridesmaid dress" :) read more

This woman is a genius! She fixed my bridesmaid dress on a tight schedule and it looks perfect. I was blown away by the amazing work she did! Thank you thank you! read more

I brought a last minute project to Lynn's perfect stitches recently and was so glad I did! I bought a white dress online for my bachelorette party and when it arrived I realized it was totally see-through! She was able to sew in a slip I had bought separately and kept the lace detailing in the sleeves/shoulders strap free! It was more expensive then I'd expected, but she had the dress ready in 6 days and I had the look I wanted and a worry free night out which was priceless! Would recommend for event apparel. read more

After I order my wedding dress I lost 50 pounds and 4 dress sizes. When my dress arrived it just fell right off me. Lynn took my dress and completely transformed my dress and molded it to my body, it looked amazing! I will always go back there for all my alterations. read more

Lynn's Perfect Stitches - Lynn did the alterations on my wedding dress - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - North Andover, Massachusetts

Felt like it was a little pricey! $15 for a small hole under the armpit and left with a small hole still on the other armpit.

I chose Lynn's Perfect Stitches for alterations on my wedding gown based on her already high reviews. If I could give her 6 stars I would! Everything was accomplished in three appointments, just as she advertised. She did a wonderful job making the dress fit just the way I wanted to and it was one of the more enjoyable and stress-free tasks I had to complete leading up to the big day. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!! read more

Brought my bridesmaid dress to Lynn's very last minute and during prom season no less. I was aware that she had a lot of jobs to complete and that I was asking for very last minute alterations, however she was professional throughout. When I brought the dress to her she did not make me feel rushed, gave my her opinion about what she could change and not. Price was reasonable even with the rush fee added on. She completed it on time and my dress fit perfectly for the wedding the following day! read more

I found this seamstress on Yelp. I brought Lynn an expensive evening dress to alter. Lynn had told me to get a better bra. I did. A few weeks later when I returned to pick up the dress as promised, Lynn had taken in the dress and its jacket in as planned. The work was adequate, absolutely not great. And my new bra straps showed just like they did with the old bra. Lynn made excuses and blamed me. She seemed put-out that I wanted the dress right. Terribly rude. The fashion professional I brought with me to the appointment and I both made easy suggestions to fix the problem. Lynn would not bother fixing the problem at all and charged me the full amount originally quoted. I spent $155 on alterations and, it would have been worth it if the alterations were done right. Lynn refused to even try to make the dress right. The dress is at another tailor being fixed. UPDATE: another tailor fixed the dress for $20! Very expensive and TERRIBLE customer service. I will NEVER use her service again. Perfect Stitches - NOT! read more

Had a bridesmaid's dress altered. Only needed one appointment and the fit was perfect! I'm always nervous about having things altered but this experience was really great and I will definitely use again in the future. read more

Lynn is professional, affordable, and did alterations on my wedding gown within 3 months. She gave me her honest opinion and helped me achieve my vision of a French bustle on the dress. I'm sure I would have spent much more if I had gone to a different seamstress. I will definitely go to Lynn for all of my alteration needs in the future. read more

I brought a bridesmaids dress to Lynn's Perfect Stitches and I could not be happier with the results. The dress fit perfectly and the work was flawless. I would definitely use them again. read more

Lynn was great. I had come to her one month before my wedding with 2 dresses! The first dress was purchased 10 months before my wedding and it ended up not fitting me properly and really could not be fixed. So I had to quickly buy a second dress which Lynn quickly fixed for me. It was done on time and it was done perfectly. She did great. read more

Lynn did a beautiful job of altering a wedding dress for me that had multiple layers of tulle and a top layer of lace. She needed to take it in 4" on top and make the waist more fitted. Although this was a challenging task she got it done in a month. I paid extra for a "rush job" but it was well worth the additional cost. She was very professional and I would recommend her to anyone needing considerable alterations. read more

When I purchased my dress I decided to bring it to an outside shop to get altered b/c wedding shops charge way too much on top of the dress itself! I found Lynn's Perfect Stitches and decided to check them out. I brought my dress to Lynn right away when it came in (5 months before my wedding) and she had me try it on to see the fit. I was practically swimming in it! The consultant ordered a size 6 for me back in September. Lynn suggested to wait 1 month before my wedding to try it on again just in case I lost more weight. While I was at her shop, I saw a lot of veils that she made so I ended up getting a pretty veil that perfectly matched my dress from her as well. Lynn also told me if I had any other dresses (bridesmaids, MOB, flowergirls, etc) to get altered she can do them too. Of course to save time and money, I brought all 3 dresses of my bridesmaids (David's Bridal), my flowergirl's dress (David's Bridal), and my evening dress (PromGirl) for Lynn to alter. She worked her charms because she fixed everything in less than 2-3 weeks! It was 3 weeks before my wedding and Lynn had me try my dress on again and come to find, she was right! I lost more weight so she basically turned my size 6 dress into a size 0! I have to give Lynn a lot of credit b/c she did so much for me in such a short amount of time and for a much better price! Keep in mind she has other clients as well. On top of all this, she made my mom a dress too b/c we couldn't find anything nice at stores. Lynn is very professional and she gives you what you want on your special day. I would highly recommend her! read more

Brides - go here! I took my wedding dress to a different seamstress first who did an awful job. The second I put my dress on for Lynn she knew EXACTLY what to do and noticed all the things the first seamstress did wrong. I wish I had just gone to her in the first place. She fixed my dress completely and quickly and was nothing but professional and kind. Thanks to her I am now in love with my wedding dress again!! read more

I bought my wedding dress at a store that didn't offer alterations...sure, add in "find affordable and talented seamstress" to the never-ending to-do list that wedding planning entails...but, mission accomplished - I decided to take a gamble and give Lynn a call - she was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with - I live nowhere near this place, so she made sure we took care of business in 2 fittings. And my dress was absolutely perfect. She is flawless and worth the trip to North Andover if you need a wedding gown (or anything else, for that matter) altered. read more

Lynn's Perfect Stitches is amazing! Lynn is great and not just because she has the same name as me! I found reviews here on Yelp and she seemed great. I took it here despite living in Everett. It was a bit of a commute, but was super easy to find. She's open on Saturday which was an additional perk! I purchased my dress at David's Bridal (see my review on them and I will say no more!) and was NOT going to get any alterations there. I would have chosen to wear my dress 8 inches too long (I'm only 5 feet) than bring it back there! Not only was Lynn professional, helpful with suggestions, and flexible with timing/days to meet my needs, but she did a wonderful job! My dress is a bridesmaid dress and my little sis is getting married! I am so happy I chose this place because it gave me one less thing to worry about. I knew that she would be quick and her price was super reasonable. Also, the other thing I liked was that it was roomy and had good lighting. There's nothing worse than a small, dark alteration shop. It's already annoying enough having someone all up in your piece with tiny pins poking, prodding, and pulling. Overall, Lynn is highly recommended from this girl! read more

I came across Lynn's Perfect stitches after doing a search on Yelp. I purchased my dress in New York but knew I wanted to get it altered closer to home. I was skeptical going to just any alterations person since we spent a lot of money on my dress but after reading Lynn's review I figured I would give her try. We met with her three time during the process and she was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. The bottom of my dress was lace and had to be hemmed, and when she was finished, all the detail was still there and you could not even notice that she did anything. The last fitting, I left there feeling like the dress was too tight. I called her and she told me she would fix it and that I didn't have to come back in. I put all my trust in her and she delivered. The day of my wedding I felt beautiful and the dress fit perfectly. I would absolutely use her again and I recommend her to anyone looking for a great seamstress. She loves what she does and it shows! read more

I've been going to Lynn for general alterations for a few years now. She is always available, reliable, offers her expert opinions on various garments, and is a true master at her craft. I also live out of state, so I wait until returning to North Andover to bring new pieces to Lynn, as I trust her and always get excellent results. I highly recommend her. 5 stars... read more

Lynn did an amazing job with my wedding dress. I had bought it in NJ but needed to get it fitted in MA since this is where I live. I found Lynn online and took a chance based on the reviews. My dress was lace with a lot of detail and I nervous about the alterations but it came out perfectly. She took the dress in 2 sizes, shortened the dress and did the bustle. Lynn did an amazing job. The cost was not cheap but I found it to be on par with the going rate in the area. I highly recommend Lynn. read more

I love my experience here!! She was quick and efficient and pricing was very fair!! She's did a lot of work my my dress!!

I brought my wedding dress in for alterations based on the many positive reviews the store had on Yelp. The reviews are very accurate. Lynn was able to make many alterations on my dress. I bought my wedding dress from craigslist that was 4 sizes to big and I'm 5'2. Lynn did an amazing job! The fit and flare style dress fit perfectly. I was one happy bride! so happy I danced around her salon in it. Lynn was flexible with her appointment as I changed it multiple times. She is very talented and professional. She helped me decide on the type of bustle to pick and details (a bow) to keep on the dress. She also made minor adjustments to the dress for my liking and request. I was comfortable during all of my visits. I like working with her so much, I brought her my rehearsal dinner dress and shirt for alterations! I found the cost to be on par for wedding dresses and worth the quality and hours of her work. read more

I had just bought a dress for my daughter's wedding that will take place on the beach. It is a beautiful blue color, but it needed a lot of alterations. Lynn was wonderful in making the dress fit perfectly! She listened to all my concerns and went out of her way to please me. I would highly recommend going to her shop if you need any alterations of any kind. thank you Lynn. read more
