I would give negative stars if I could. My son is getting married this Sunday. I bought my dress…read morefrom a bridal store who ordered it I think too large to the point that they should have educated me how it should be taken in. I didn't really think about it because I figured I would just take it to Heidi who I have used several times before over the years. I know from dealing with her that she does a lot of weddings so I thought it was a safe choice. My dress was a beautiful Jovani trumpet lace gown. A trumpet gown has a certain silhouette that just looks so flattering but it's meant to be floor length to work. Heidi never pinned the hem on me before cutting off the bottom. It was too short even with 1 inch heels. Plus the dress should have been raised up on me before anything else but she honestly was coming across lazy and said to me that she wouldn't do that but instead just take the top in. After she took it in I realized the built in cups are down by my ribs which to me indicates the dress needed to be raised up. The end result was the trumpet bottom part of the gown is way too short and the whole dress is out of scale. She never pinned the hem on me so I could see what length it would be. She just cut the whole bottom off at once. The other huge mistake is she cut the under layer that you see though the lace up to my mid shin on one side and it was so crooked it came down to almost my ankle on the other side. How did that even happen if you are a professional??? When I brought it back she just kind of laughed it off and said no one will notice that. She attempted to fix the length by taking in an extra piece of lace she had leftover and stitching it on to the bottom; when I picked it up again it was worse. The lace is the outer layer and she sewed it on to the crooked slip inner layer and it just clung to my ankles. She had my dress since March but none of these disasters happened until the last two weeks. I am a small size and all the gowns in the stores are too big. I've been ordering dresses online like crazy but 6 days before the wedding I don't know what I'm going to wear. I'm sick over this. Another tailor is going to try to make it look decent but I won't know the results until the end of the week. He was totally appalled by what she did. I'm the type of person who when she gets bad service just pays the person and moves on because I hate conflict. But I'm writing this because I want to potentially save some poor bride or mother of the bride/groom in the future. The dress was $700 by the way not counting what I paid Heidi
