Just don't do it! The women here are rude, over charge, and act as if customers are a complete waste of it and energy. If you feel like spending $20 on a bad pedicure then go for it. read more

Super over priced and have messed up my nails multiple times, also came in to take off nails and they ripped them off instead of how it's supposed to be soaked off so that hurt. read more

Came here a week ago and this place is huge! Don't let the outside fool you. There is only street parking. I came in and was told to choose a color. I was getting a fill and a pedicure. After choosing out a color I was seated right away in a pedicure chair. Kim did my pedicure. Such a sweet lady. She took her time (which is good). She did such an awesome job. Her english wasn't too good but I could understand what she was trying to say. I then had my fill done by Kelly. Very nice girl. She did a fantastic job. Very thorough. read more

Got a mani/pedi, and both are pretty mediocre. Nothing fancy, just red polish on the toes, pink on fingernails; nonetheless, my cuticles are bleeding and my polish is smeared. To top it off, it cost $41 (and I skipped the massage and heel sanding portion of the festivities). I'm sure they do something well, but my nails aren't on the list. Hard pass for next time. read more

My full set turned out terrible. There are bubbles in the acrylic. She didn't wipe off the dust from filing before putting the acrylic on, so there are white flecks in the acrylic. I asked for short. I told her three times to cut them shorter. I eventually gave up. They are too long. I had a gel top coat put on for an extra five bucks. I have gotten the gel topcoat everywhere I go. It is chipping off! Gel does not chip! Plus she only put one coat. For 5 bucks I expect at least 2. This was rediculous. The price wasn't even that great. I won't be going back. read more

They do a pretty good job and the people working there are really nice. It is clean and they have a great selection of nail colors. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they are pretty pricey and though they're good, I don't think it's worth what they're charging. read more

These folks manage to perfectly mix professionalism and artistry. And they do it with kindness! Comfortable salon, and really great service. Parking is easy too! read more

Wonderful customer service. Great attention to detail. Delightful massage. Definitely coming back!

I have been going to Star Nails for pedicures and Shellac manicures regularly for several years now. I have never had to wait more than a minute and I've always had excellent service. The owners and all the women who work there are friendly, kind and treat me like royalty. The salon is clean and modern, the prices are very fair, and the service is fantastic. I feel relaxed and happy from head to toe when I leave Star Nails, it's my favorite. read more

Massaging chairs! Awesome customer service! Really nice equipment, relaxing environment, and a loooong leg massage. Oh, and the warm towel??? The best. My first pedicure and I literally can't wait to do it again...and again. I'll be back soon! read more

I've been coming here for about 10 years now and they know how to do nails. I do believe there is a language barrier but if you try to communicate with them they will do as you as. I would only let Lee do eyebrows. She's been doing them for years for me. I let someone else do them for the first time two weeks ago and she made them really thin. Lee asked me today, why so thin?? I said because I let someone else in here do them. I still love them. read more

I'm not sure how this place has such rave reviews. My daughter and I came here to get a fill and pedicure. The water for our pedicure was freezing cold and when I told the lady it was cold she responded with ya. That's it. No im sorry, no let me make it warm for you nothing. The massage with oil and I guess lotion was quick and over before I could blink my eyes. My polish on my toes still had excess polish around it. I also had 3 diff people work on my feet? Not sure why. On to the worse part-my full set with gel. The lady who did my nails was slower than a sloth! She kept talking the entire time while doing my nails-not to me but to her fellow colleagues. Normally I could care less but she would talk and stop in the middle of doing my nails. Then she'd get up walk away come back and forget where she had left off. I was getting pretty annoyed at this point. She then put about 3 coats of gel polish which is a bit much. She also had to redo one of my nails over like 3 times because all of the particles leftover from filing was on the nail. My daughters nail tech ended up cutting her within seconds of filing her nails. Pretty deep cut too. Again, nothing to compensate for that. Also, my gel polish does not shine like I've previously have had. Needless to say we were there 2.5 hours and walked out very dissatisfied. Will not be returning. read more

$22 for an awesome pedicure? Ya I'll definitely be coming here again. Clean, calm, nice lighting and they take their time.

A gem of a shop in the Rainier Beach neighborhood. Never too long a wait, everyone is super friendly, and consistently quality work. I've had acrylic nails on and off for the last 15 years and this is the only place I've been where they seem to last a full 2 weeks between fills without lifting. I'm a hairdresser and my hands are in water all the time, so that's really saying something. read more

After years of searching, I've finally found a local nails salon that delivers to my high expectations. Kelly always does amazing work and I never ever feel rushed so she can get to the next customer. She always take her time and is happy to redo a nail if I end up not liking the design or color. If you want great customer service and amazing quality, KELLY is who you need to go! read more

Love .. love.. the pedi's. The ladies there are nice and professional . I've wonder off at times but always end up back at Star nails. I get the best foot care and when I leave i feel satisfied. One of the main reasons I come back is that they listen to what I say , it is supper clean. read more

I'm sooo excited!!! I have found my new go to place after striking out several times since moving to Seattle 6 mos ago. I had a mani pedi with gel and I also got a brow and lip wax. All the services were fabulous. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We called Monday morning asking if they could fit in 3 of us at the same time in 2 hours and they did, no waiting. The decor is so relaxing and everything appeared very clean. They don't allow children which in my book is a plus when I want to chill out. read more

They did such an awesome job!!! From the outside I didn't know what to expect but once i stepped in it was a totally different from what i thought. they have a ton of pedicure spa chairs, mani stations and I think they even do waxing. The pedi comes with a scrub and a awesome massage and the mani came with a nice neck and shoulder massage which is a plus!! the price is right and my nails are on point. i'll be back! read more

I walked in in the middle of the afternoon and asked to have one nail fixed. I had gotten a gel manicure a few days before in NY and the polish was starting to chip on 2 of my nails. Although they didn't have the exact polish I used (a white shade by OPI), the lady was able to help me right away, found a color that matched perfectly and I was out in under 15 minutes. The place is beautiful and I will definitely come back next time I'm in Seattle! read more

I needed to find a place nearby my mom's house in South Seattle to get a mani pedi for her birthday and I found this place on Yelp. I was nervous about the place since I had never been but the reviews are right on. Everyone there was so kind and very approachable. My mom loved her little treatment and I was satisfied with my manicure myself. It was very hot outside but when we arrived, the place was very welcoming, cool and relaxing. I love it and am definitely going back and making this my spot for when I visit my mom in South Seattle. Would definitely recommend this place. I love it! read more

I love star nails! As a man, I was a little hesitant to go get a manicure and pedicure but the ladies at star nails always make me feel comfortable and now I'm hooked! The place is super clean and staff (Hanna and Kim are great!) are so friendly and always have a smile. Their prices are unbeatable and the reason is not only for clean cut nails and toenails but the best part for me is the extra loooonnng massages at the end of the pedicure and manicure. It's like getting your nails cleaned up and then getting a full body massages the end. I'm a super fan and will continue to go as long as they continue their services! read more

I was able to make an appointment for 2 mani and pedis for and friend and I just a couple hour ahead of time. Got lost and arrived late and the staff was still very attentive and kind us. Place looks much nicer than it may appear on the outside. This shouldn't discourage you from checking them out. read more

This place is a gem. I moved here from San Francisco in February and haven't been able to find anything close to what I had there until I found Star. The service and prices are great. The owner even introduced himself and said he hadn't seen me before. The spa is very nice and relaxing and the technicians aren't talking the whole time like other salons. I have found my go to place right here in Seattle. read more

Gotta be honest. The service was very poor. i did however make my appt around closing time but that does not give room for the services to be limited. As i stated i made an appt. My girlfriend and I came in for services and they had the audacity to do my services (man) before my girlfriends. Also "Star Nails" started my girlfriends nails and then she waited for 25 min in a chair while someone that wasn't qualified did eye brows in the back. Our answer for the wait time was "the person that started your nails doesn't know how to do a full set". Why the Hell would you start her process then?? very bad experience. Going to try Emeralds In Federal Way. Sucks I have to leave my community for good, quality service. I hope I'm helping someone. read more

Got a great men's mani pedi! Clean, fun, bar available for drinks. Highly recommend supporting this business in the south end!

Took my 13 year old daughter here for a mani pedi before a special event. They didn't treat her like a kid with a quickie job but did a quality job for both of us including lovely mature looking decorations for free on her. read more

Been to several nail shops here in Seattle and they have either all been really awkward or slow and not very professional at what they do. This one has a very nice interior, small parking lot nearby, service is quick, friendly and attentive, and definitely very professional at what they do! This is my favorite place to go pamper myself. I've been here 6-7 times and every time is just as great. They are very detailed with their work and it's clean inside. I usually get a mani pedi... with gel. And they always make sure that I'm walking out with what I like. They will go above and beyond, including offering to fix any nails that get messed up within a week. I highly recommend this place. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! this use to be my favorite nail salon and then they hired this new chick and for whatever reason every time i go in there and ask for another girl they also sit me with this new chick. and she is AWFUL. doesn't understand anything that i ask for and when i tell her i want it more coffin shape she half ass files it and it looks the exact same as before she took a file to it. was so tired of continuously asking to have it filed to the shape i want that i told her to just stop and that i'm leaving and will pay for what is done. and they charge me full price when i didn't even finish the manicure! no color, nothing! and then try to give me this bullshit excuse on why they charged me full price. i went to them every two weeks for MONTHS and they just screwed me over. do NOT go here. read more

Gone here a couple times in the last week and is now my new fav nail salon! Very excellent service. Never had to wait. The workers and owners are super friendly and make sure you are satisfied with their work. Not only do they do good with my mani and pedi, they do great with eyelashes too! Reasonable pricing too. Not to mention, this salon is beautifully decorated! You're definitely gonna feel like a star at Star Nails. read more

Went here my first time the other day and was very displeased with the owner himself and how he treated me. When I sat down he immediately approached me and asked if I came alone or "with the black lady across the room?". I said no and he continued with "you can only stay for a little bit." My mom (who is Asian) interrupted and told him I'm her daughter then he wanted to be nice to me. Very uncomforting experience. read more

Star Nails - Love my nails! - Nail Salons Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I called ahead to see if they could fit me in as I was in desperate need of a full acrylic set! Although their color selection was quite limited, they took me in 5 minutes before closing and I was the last customer in their shop... They still provided me with patience and excellent service, and we ended up bonding over Vietnamese heritage and family dynamics. Great people here! Need to come back with my girlfriends. read more

My mother and I had been going to this nail place roughly from 1995 through 2011 when they opened the new building next to the 100 sq foot shack they had previously. The reason I stopped going.... The last days I visited this establishment I brought my daughter and niece to get mani & Pedi's with me (which I did often both 10-11yrs old at the time) and decided to drop them off at the door because it was raining and I told them to go pick out their colors. It took me less than 2 minutes to find street parking. As soon as I walk in Lee (the owner) points at the sign on her wall that says kids must be accompanied by an adult. I just shake my head and say ok. We pick out our colors and start with the pampering and all of get a nail tech and we are the only customers currently. All is well until it is time to paint the girls' nails'.... The girls decide that they want three different colors alternating on their hands and feet. Lee comes over and tells me that since it takes so much time that it will be an additional $10 per child, $5 for hands and $5 for feet so that is $20 additional dollars. (Mind you one of them had already started painting one of the girls AND Lee was NOT doing any of our nails)....did I mention WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THERE!!! I said you know what, I don't understand how you feel you can charge additional because they want alternating colors but it you decide to charge me for this I will NEVER return to your business again. When we were all finished with our service Lee met me at the register, charged me an additional $20 and said "I will see you soon". HA!! I said, "No you will NEVER see me in here again". If my recollection is correct I even want to say she said something to the effect of having to pay for her new salon when she charged me. How do you seriously treat a long time customer like that? read more
