Does anyone else get the feeling that if you aren't there spending crazy money for acrylics that they don't want to waste time giving you service??? Is that just me??? Looking for a friend. LOL I didn't feel relaxed at all while there. The girl who did my gel pedicure at one point cut to deep with the cuticle cutter. She kept saying it was an ingrown, but I didn't have an ingrown. She put alcohol on it and I do think it bled a little. I kept thinking my toe is going to get infected, but today it looks fine. They don't offer many color options IMO. I really do hate that especially when I'm trying to create a look I seen on Pinterest. Someone send me a legit place to go in Arlington. They gave me a $2 coupon at the end of my service. They know they did me wrong there. Would not go back.

Nails started to chip off less than a week, came back the owner…read more"fixed it", 2 days later, 2 more nails have the gel polish chipped off, came by and got blamed by the owner that she shouldn't listened to me when I asked to do 2 coats of pinkish nail color, which is not the 1st time I've asked my nails to be done that exact same way with no issues (obviously not at this salon), anyways, came back and asked the owner that I don't wanna be dealing with this problem that I prefer to fix all my nails, which her response was in a raising voice in front of a customer, that she has the right to refuse to do that because it's been 2 weeks, when in fact it hasn't and I offered to show my bank statement to prove that that's not the case and listen, if you use gel manicure in your nails you know that that thing doesn't move until you scrap off the gel polish from your nails, anyways at that point I told her that I won't and shouldn't be begging to get a service done for which I paid and is crappy, specially when she boasts how she has 15yrs. of experience doing nails, save your time energy and pay somewhere else to have an acceptable service . But my "2-weeks past my refill time" nails looked horrible. So after a Yelp search and a confirm from a dear friend, I made my way to this local "fave". When I arrived 20 minutes after opening, it was packed and I immediately second-guessed my decision. But, the "people mover" who greeted me was so friendly and welcoming, I decided to stay. He asked what services I would need and got me seated for a mani-pedi within 5 minutes. My pedi nail tech was super nice and for some reason switched to doing my fingernails while someone else came in to finish my feet. Everything was going well until check out. The friendly neighborhood people mover asked about my experience and then asked to inspect my nails. He turned and said something to another nail tech and then next thing I knew, I was being ushered to another chair to "fix my nails". They didn't look bad to me. I just got a powder dip... nothing special. I was content and had no complaints. Apparently, I'm crazy because they were not letting me leave "like that". So, after 20 minutes, the head tech was happy. She assured me that they check ALL work to make sure customers leave happy and stay happy. They even have a 7 day guarantee. Wow!!! This is the best nail salon experience I've ever had. I will be here whenever I'm in Dallas. Side note: I watched them do BEAUTIFUL nail art of all kinds. This was hands down the worst service I've ever had at a nail salon…read more I understand that not all salons carry the same products, and it was fine that they didn't have what I originally wanted. The problem wasn't that--it was everything that happened after. The nail tech became visibly annoyed when I changed my service (after the manager informed me they didn't carry the product I requested). I agreed to just do a gel manicure, but when she brought out acrylic powder, I told her again that I only wanted gel on my natural nails. She questioned me about my first request, I clarified again, and from then on her attitude completely shifted. She ignored me, very obviously spoke about me to the pedicure tech in their native language, and then called over the manager as if there was a problem, which there wasn't. From that point forward, she was aggressive and unprofessional. She grabbed my hand roughly, buffed my nails harshly, and clearly did not want to do the service. When I pointed out an obviously uneven nail, she barely corrected it. The final result was terrible: * Uneven nails of different lengths * Sloppy polish with streaks and residue * Polish left on my skin * A chipped corner on one nail * Bumps where the nail bed wasn't buffed properly * Cuticles completely ignored (just oil slapped on at the end) This was supposed to be a $40 "gel manicure,"but looked like something I could've done at home in the dark. To make matters worse, while I was paying, the tech came up to the counter, started arguing with the manager in their native language, pointing aggressively at the screen, and then stormed out. That is absolutely unprofessional behavior and reflects terribly on the salon. I still paid, because I'm not like that, but I will never come back. The salon was not busy, yet I felt extremely rushed the entire time. The pedicure was incomplete and lacked basic attention to detail. It felt like steps were skipped, and there was minimal effort put into the service. I also did not receive the manicure I requested. My cuticles were not properly cleaned or prepped, and instead of addressing that, a large amount of cuticle oil was applied and I was moved along as if the service was finished. When I brought this to the manager's attention, I was offered $10 off instead of having the services corrected. That did not resolve the issue, especially considering I paid for a pedi, and dip set. He removed the manicure. Unfortunately, the quality of service and professionalism were not acceptable, and I will not be returning. When I checked out there were services I didn't ask for or that they didn't provide on my bill. I would encourage others to make sure they are receiving the full service they book before leaving.

The shop though small in size feels very personal and comforting. The manicure was very comfortable and was done in a timely manner. I look forward to my next appointment and may get a pedicure as well on that next visit. I have also seen the nail tech's instagram page @klaws_by_kenn and her work is astounding. Well she made the extensions on my toes excessively thick, causing discomfort whenever I walk. When I politely asked her to fix her work, she responded in a loud and confrontational manner, questioning why I didn't inform her of my dissatisfaction earlier. Then being rough with me. So I just told her it was okay. To be honest, I wasn't too picky initially, but the pain was bothersome when I started to walk. I also want to mentions that the girl sitting next to me was getting a pedicure despite having extremely crusted feet with deep open wounds. The salon initially informed her that they couldn't provide the service due to the risk of spreading infections, which is in line with licensing and regulations. However, against their own advice, they ended up proceeding with the pedicure anyways. This negligence not only puts the girl at risk but also creates a potential health hazard for others. Okay, so plan B turned out really well, and overall I am happy with my experience. They have been in the same location for 20 years, and they are extremely clean. Most times I'll notice dust or cobwebs in the corners at most salons I go to, but they were so clean. I even asked about their pedicure procedures and how they sanitized, so I know I'll get one there one day. This definitely is a mom and pop shop that stays busy because of their regulars, and they know your name, which is refreshing when going to a nail salon.
