I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted, she asked if I wanted dip or if it needed to be acrylic and told her that I didn't care how this design was done but I wanted it to look just like the inspo pic that was posted here. She said that's fine I can totally do that. She did the service and even corrected the nail that I saw was crooked so that it wouldn't be when she dipped it. She also cut off the acrylic a little long and I told her I wanted them shorter like the picture and she said she just was leaving room for filing. She was a great communicator. When she did the top coat she added a glitter top coat which was not pictured and I thought, "it's not the end of the world I'll just take it". Well we got to the check out and I looked at my nails and they are not what was pictured. I was pretty frustrated but left to go pick up my car for an oil change. I sent these pictures to my sister to see if I was being too high maintenance and she agreed that this was not done well even to the standards of the other pictures posted on the reviews. So I called the store and asked to speak to the manager (against every bone in my body) and politely asked if they could get me back in to just level out the dip and reapply the top coat and trim the side of my nails in a little bit. The store manager told me she would be happy to fix them at 5 pm when they had time. I asked if there was anyone else sooner as I live in Girdwood and made the trip today as a little treat but needed to get back home sooner. She said there was absolutely no time before 4 that she could get me in. So I agreed and called my fiance. I then called back to see if I could come show her that there was blood glued down to my nails, the unevenness and just get even a partial refund and she said she does not refund but is available at 5 pm to fix it for me. I am so disappointed in the response to fixing this. When I left the shop there were 4 techs sitting together hanging out, when I drove back by to get the images of the shop sign there were no cars in the parking lot. I will not be returning and I recommend either going to a different shop or being much more firm than I was when sitting in their chair. The job she did was $90 and I didn't even get the set that I wanted.

I have been going to this salon for my gel pedicures for at least three years. I've seen a couple…read moredifferent techs. Feb is my favorite. (I actually followed her here from her old salon!) She is gentle, thorough, and consistently does a great job. I have never had issues with chipping or breaking. I've only had a gel manicure when I got French gels for my wedding in 2022, done by another gal here, and they were gorgeous. I did show up without an appointment at 3:45 PM, and they asked me to come back at five, and I agreed. I showed the young lady the picture that I wanted, and she didn't have a problem with it. She said it was fine. We started at five. She did not finish my nails till almost 8:15 PM. I also asked for a pedicure, and that wasn't started till a little after seven because the young lady doing my nails was taking more time than she thought it would take, I guess, to complete them. Everyone was obviously in a rush to leave the store and they went back-and-forth about who was gonna finish my pedicure, so once the gentleman came and put the acrylic on my toes and then another lady came to paint them and didn't give me a massage, didn't do my callus, didn't do anything, just painted my toes. She did not do a second coat. She just put clear on and put me under the light, and so part of my issue is that one, my entire toe is not even covered with the toenail or the acrylic that I paid for, so you can see in the picture. It's not even covering my entire toe. My nails, the gems on my nails started coming off because the young lady did not even put a topcoat on, and at this point it was already after 8 o'clock, so the gems have just been snagging and getting catching on to everything and popping off. Picture below, you can also see where on Monday night my nails were lifting. I don't work in any kind of strenuous job. I am an office administrator. I sit at a desk and type all day, so I'm barely having anything done around my nails where they're being aggressively forced to make my nails pop off. I did call Monday after my appointment was on Saturday night and I was told by the receptionist that she would pass my message along to the manager and the manager would reach out to me, today is Wednesday and no one has reached out to me about correcting anything regarding my toes or my nails. I did spend $220 and left a $40 tip.

What really stood out to me was how much she cares about the health of your natural nails. Mine were damaged from thick dip powder done elsewhere, and she immediately noticed and took the time to gently work with them while explaining how we could get them back in shape. The husband, must be Tam, was the one who did my nails. At first, he was very nice and friendly and easy to talk to. But then, two women came in for mani-pedis and he started to rush my manicure (so he could start theirs). He stopped talking and didn't really pay much attention to my cuticles. I had to ask him to push them back, and then he didn't cut the excess, which I had to do myself when I got home. Now it looks like I already have a week of growth because he didn't paint my nails where the cuticles were (obviously, he couldn't, but he could have if he'd taken care of the cuticles properly). The polish itself is well done, no bubbles or lint. Although, there was some left on my skin that he didn't wipe off. The ladies who came in seemed like regulars, and I can understand wanting to take care of people who come in regularly. But it doesn't seem very smart to do it at the expense of other customers, even if they are using a groupon and the owner isn't getting paid much. I might have come back if he'd done a better job and if I felt like a valued customer. FYI, I didn't know what Shellac was at first, so I looked it up. Apparently, to remove it, you have to go back to the salon and they're supposed to use wraps to soak the polish off. Some salons just use cotton balls and foil. This salon uses cotton balls and foil (they were removing the other ladies' Shellac polish as I left).

Went in for a pedicure and a full gel set I waited for 30 minutes before anyone spoke to me the…read morebasic pedicure took 1 hr and 30minutes most of this time was me being left sitting because the phone rang or someone needing to pay then when someone came in wanting they're brows waxed I was left again but this time with hot towels on my legs which I'll admit felt good at first but by the time the nail tech came back to me the towels were ice cold and I was sitting there shivering moving forward to the full set I asked for gel she decided to do a dipping gel she said she wanted to do something different for me well the very next day as I am dusting my dashboard my nail breaks I didn't bang or bump it on anything I honestly didn't even notice right away so I rush in before work and she fixes it she first tried to use a plastic nail tip and when that didn't work she used the Dremel to get the broken nail off she filed it down so deep it was hot and sore and my cuticle is still swollen when I flinched from pain at one point she sighed and seemed annoyed with me moving forward the nail was fixed and I went to work as soon as I got there putting on my shoe the same nail broke again. I called and asked for a refund but she refused saying she would take them all off and do the regular gel (the one I originally asked for!) but Truthfully I am terrified to let them touch my nails again.
