Star Mazda delivered excellent service! As a first time leaser I was unfamiliar with much of the process, benefits and challenges. My agent, Israel, was beyond helpful and respectful. He walked me through all my concerts, answered all my questions and truly kept my best interests in mind. I visited other Mazda dealerships in the area prior to Star Mazda, and this was by far the best! Everyone was extremely kind, from the supervisor John, to the financial specialist Ryan. They made a great team and helped me get the car of my dreams. Thanks again Star Mazda and s/o to Israel! read more

Re: Used Sales Hard to understand the experience here. I called ahead regarding one vehicle I was coming in to see and sent on preapproved loan info to the dealership. I did all this and explained on the phone and email if they would clear the vehicle I picked with the financing I was preapproved upon. My car had been totaled on the street so I am car shopping on the bus. Sales person was very welcoming and friendly, except she could not answer one basic question about the vehicle. And. Despite all pregaming, *Finance guy apparently decided he wasn't going to check and see if the vehicle I picked was going to work with my loan, He wasn't going to do anything unless I was there and filled out a loan app. So, after wasting two hours, filling out a credit app, turning over payroll info and being forced to provide six - count them six - local contacts - guess what? The vehicle I had called ahead on, provided preapproved loan info on, didn't, in fact match up. The car was too old and my bank wouldn't finance it. All of which could have been sorted before I ever got there had they done, in good faith, what I had asked. A TOTAL waste of everyone's *ing time and release of a bunch of proprietary information for NOTHING. Finance guy? It's the 21st Century. Business is done a little differently these days. Had you quickly checked the loan against the vehicle, as asked, you would have saved everyone - including yourself - a lot of time and needless aggravation. Had I known ahead of time, I may have looked at newer cars on your lot and purchased a different vehicle from you. As it turns out, I purchased a vehicle at Ellis Dodge. Great price, great %. Absolutely NO BS. Actually, the best experience I have ever had after purchasing 4 vehicles. I will be a customer for life there. So, thank you for the world class crappy customer service. read more

I had a great experience with Mazda the other day. I was told I needed some work done on my car. I was quoted close to 500 and over. I searched around for a lesser price and decided to call my dealer's service department. I ask for the Manager Roy Hayes. He beat out all other prices. I am completely satisfied with the service and my bill! read more

Star Mazda made it incredibly easy to buy and upkeep our car. John in sales is really helpful and Craig in service is as well. I recently came here to get maintenance done on my car and they said that it would take a few hours. While I was waiting, they sent a ride share to take me to the mall. When I came back, the car was washed and ready to go. I've also showed up numerous times for checkups without an appointment and they've been very accommodating. read more

Very simple. I wanted black on black, leather or fake leather. And a car to play my SiriusXM radio. They sold me car, assured I can switch my subscription to new car. And they sold me a car that isn't equipped with system. Now claim that I need to have it installed separately... when I already was willing to install navigation upon purchase. I would have never bought this model if they hadn't promised me that SiriusXM would work. Simplest instructions, and now a huge disappointment for my New car... and a loss of money on my part for their negligence. My salesman was Greg Moss, and the financial person also assured I could switch my subscription. So multiple people in this branch just want a quick sell and not customer satisfaction. read more

I literally rushed home to write this review because I didn't want to forget to write it later. First of all I want to note that if I could give them more stars I would. After going to and contacting multiple mechanics about the issue I was having with my car I was left beyond flustered. Mechanics refused to work on my car and couldn't tell me what the problem was. I finally went to Star Mazda as my last resort and boy am I glad I did. I want to give a very special thanks to Loucretia Velasco. She was beyond fantastic!!!! She alone made the whole experience bearable. She took my car in and half an hour later she and her team knew exactly what was wrong with my car. I ended up leaving my car with them thinking I wouldn't be getting it back for another week, and amazingly I got a call from her the very next day telling me my car was ready! She kept in contact with me throughout the whole process and let me know exactly what was going on with my car. At the end she even saved me around $300!! On top of that they did a bunch of extra necessary work and even washed my car!!! The whole experience was quick and easy and I will definitely be returning for all my car needs. read more

Terrible experience! I just finished a huge survey explaining all the details, I conclude briefly with this review that not only was expensive but also... The problem still exists, the person in charge of the car lied to me several times, offered million other unnecessary services not sure if to get more comission or something, etc... I was a regular customer here (like 4 times) but after this I will look for a different mazda dealer for suuuuure. If I go back it is because I couldn't find anything else. Terrible experience. read more

UPDATE: I'm updating this review because the service manager Roy called me and apologized for the mix up. He gave me a huge discount on the service and provided me with a rental car to use at no charge. I really appreciate his concern and how friendly everyone was to me. Hopefully they'll fix the computer program so that you can't schedule appointments on days that the business is closed. ------------------------------------- I made a 9am service appointment on July 4th. I left a note asking them to contact me if they were closed. I received a confirmation that my appointment was scheduled. When I arrived, I was told that they were closed because everything is closed on the 4th. Well tell that to Starbucks, the grocery store, and the donut shop I had just left. I told the man that not all businesses are closed and why didn't they put something on their website? Why did the system allow me to make the appointment if they were closed? I got up early just to drive out there. What a waste of time. read more

The first Mazda dealership I'd gone to in the IE had 5k worth of add ons that I wasn't interested in but they insisted I couldn't remove. I was very happy to find that Star Mazda didn't force added features with the purchase of the vehicle. Kyle Groom, the internet sales manager, was helpful and honest from the beginning of our email communications! I knew what I was walking into before coming into the dealership which made things far less nerve wrecking. Kyle was very friendly and real, his honesty made me feel secure and certain about my decision to purchase. All in all, purchasing my Mazda3 was a fast process because I'd done my research and had great communication with Kyle. read more

Cannot believe I am writing a review for a car dealership but the experience my wife and I had with salesman Israel and his team proved that buying a new car can be a pleasant and rewarding experience if the sales person is patient, listening to our needs, answering all our questions and works hard to get us what we were looking for without pressuring us into uncomfortable corners. The general manager John also treated us with respect. Thank you. We are very happy with our CX-5. Star Mazda has earned our trust. read more

ASK FOR EDITA!!! She's the best I've ever dealt with. She is kind, patient and extremely informational. We went in with the intent of just looking and had a game plan, thanks to EDITA we needed up with the car we wanted and a price close to what we wanted. We didn't mind paying a little more for her world class customer service. THANK YOY EDITA!!! read more

Went in shopping around for a vehicle, I'm still in the process of deciding what I want and am looking to buy. I got a very friendly and informative sales lady Edita Iankova. She was patient, provided me with great customer service and has helped me narrow down my options. When I'm ready to buy I know I'll be going back to her for the sale. I have looked at many other dealerships and spoken to many sales associates, and by far the best was Edita Iankova at Star Mazda. read more

I had a great experience buying my car here. It was a used car and they had a great selection to choose from for a relatively small store. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I left with a car I love. Just came back for my 1st service and, again, everyone friendly and helpful! I will be back! read more

i was treated so rudely by the service Manager Jim Sarvey.he was so mean towards me. he made me wait over 20 minutes to talk to him then he said i was not in the system and that the part i bought 4 days ago was not a mazda part and i could not get a refund. He is the worst at customer service and common courtesy and gave me u huge headache and a real jerk. he really pissed me off. he needs to go on vacation. i do not recommend using STAR MAZDA PARTS OR THERE DEALERSHIP. I was in a not-at-fault car accident that left me unexpectedly car-less before an upcoming vacation. The accident left me panicked about my next step until I called Edita. Edita not only welcomed me in like a supportive family member, she made the entire process comfortable and fun. I never felt pressured. She listened and understood exactly what I was looking for and came through with the perfect car for me. We even ended with a dance party to celebrate my purchase and test out the awesome Bose speakers. Don in Finance was also very helpful and walked me through the paperwork and answered all of my questions. Best car shopping experience ever!! read more

I've been here several times for service (overhead light, trunk issues) and have always been treated respectfully and found the service team to be friendly and communicative. As far as dealer service goes, I haven't had a better experience. If they make a mistake, they will make it right with you. I will continue to take my 2010 Miata here! read more

I recently leased a car for my wife at Star Mazda. If you're ever in the neighborhood, be sure to ask for Kyle Groom, one of the sales managers. He was very friendly and upfront about his offers, and even went the extra mile with explaining the costs breakdown. I'm a naturally risk-averse person, so at the time I had decided to leave and check out other dealerships as well. But once I did that, I realized that every other car salesman I had come across did not provide great service like Kyle had at Star. Be sure to check it out. read more

Thank you Kyle, the Internet Sales Manager, for a great car buying experience! I found the car I wanted online and called Kyle. We made a plan and I came a great distance to purchase the auto. Phone synched and with Kyle's assistance had a brief training on operating my new vehicle. read more

I hardly ever do reviews but this has got to be the Worst experience EVER! I'd like to get started with giving 10 stars to Pablo! Pablo genuinely went out of his way to fully understand my needs. Built rapport, asked questions and broke down different numbers and gave me alternatives. It all went great until the manager John came in "trying" explain the reason why they won't approve a lease. Instead of reasoning with me, he made me feel like a small person by saying "it's very unfortunate that you have to renew it every 2 years". The fact that I had to reach out to shake his hand makes me regret going there because he did not make any attempt. I felt as if he didn't wanna deal with me or he wanted me out since I was there for 5 hours. Your approach john gotta work on that. I didn't even care about the rejection. I came for the service. read more

Who would actually say "i enjoyed buying a car?" nobody I know. That said, Kyle broke the mold of pushy car salesman. the consummate professional, knowledgeable about #1 cars and #2 people. the experience was as if a family friend in the biz mad an otherwise unpleasant experience painless and ridiculously easy. I will be back in 3 years when my lease expires and will be asking for "kyle" by name. read more

This store is pretty good, especially shout out to the manager Kyle,he treated me really well.

We had a great experience here. I was on the hunt for a Mazda 3 sedan, and my husband was helping me look. He reached out to quite a few different places, and of all of them Abiel at Star Mazda gave us the best price and was the most attentive. We ended up visiting Star Mazda on my birthday and made a purchase - Abiel was friendly, bright and not at all pushy. I felt really good about giving him the sale. They noticed it was my birthday while filling out the paperwork, and I joked that I "expected a bow". When we were all set, I went out to look at the car and get the run-through, and there was a huge red bow sitting on the hood of the car for me. I felt like a 16-year old princess! (which is not a feeling I have ever been accustomed to). It was really nice, they were all smiling and wishing me a happy birthday....and I drove off in my new car. I highly recommend Abiel at Star Mazda! :) read more

My family and I have been Mazda owners since 2007. We currently have four Mazdas and we were in the search for a fifth one. My brother just graduated high school and is going off to college. So we were in search for a car for him. While searching online he came across a car he liked, at this dealership. From the moment we called, Pablo was the best. He did everything to really provide exceptional service. My father, husband and brother ended up driving down south almost 5 hours for this car and they were not disappointed. My family is really happy with the car and with the excellent service that Pablo and the whole Mazda team gave them. They said all positive things about their experience. Thank you so much Pablo, and we will definitely keep you in mind for a future purchase! read more

Crooks and idiots! I've been coming here for years for car repairs with no problem but something changed in the last year. They seem to be pushed to up-sell. The last oil change I came in for I was told I needed over $2,500 in repairs. I declined and have since taken my car elsewhere and my new mechanic says the car is fine, only scheduled maintenance needed. Also, before I switched mechanics I emailed them about installing an iPhone integration system on my car to see if they could do this and what the ball park estimate might be. They kept emailing me back trying to get me to buy a new car and trade my old one in. I kept telling them that I was not in the market to sell my car or buy a new one but was looking to have stereo parts installed. They couldn't understand this. I'm done. Bye. read more

If you need help buying, ask for Kyle Groom. Truly the best salesman there is. Made my experience quite fun and easy. Very honest. I had a lol dilemma where I didn't have a vehicle to transport to sign the papers and everything. So he drove printed the documents, got the car, and drove to my place. From Glendale to Anaheim. All washed, vacuumed and full tank of gas. One thing I don't like is it's location. Has terrible internet reception and ugly and dangerous parking spots. Other than that, got an awesome mazda6 with low mileage and all thanks to Kyle. read more

I would give more stars if possible for the service I received from Kyle Groom. I was dreading the process of looking for a new car to lease. I was deciding between the Mazda CX-5 and another vehicle and my friend recommended Kyle Groom in internet sales at Star Mazda. He responded so quickly to my inquiries and when I changed my mind a few times on what extras I wanted he never made me feel like I was bothering him. When we came to sign the contract the wait for Finance was longer than what we had time for so we rescheduled so we could be the first in line with Finance department the following Saturday. A few days later before we were scheduled to meet with Finance I asked Kyle if there was another color vehicle available. He got back to me so quickly to confirm that he could get it for me. I was thrilled! The day we were supposed to sign the contract it was raining and my husband wasn't feeling well. Kyle said he could bring the contract to our house to sign if that would be easier for us. That was pretty amazing! Kyle is professional, knowledgeable and friendly! His goal is to make the customer happy with their choice. He also has been helpful when I've stopped by with questions about the vehicle and encouraged us to come by with any questions. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Kyle. I've never experienced such great service during a car lease or purchase. I may be a Mazda driver for life due to Kyle's exemplary service! Thanks Kyle! read more

Star Mazda is AMAZING! I had been researching new cars for several months & finally decided to go look at a CX5. I'm not a huge fan of car shopping, and due to unavoidable situations, I had to do this ALONE! Needless to say, I was a little concerned about being taken advantage of. I went to Galpin 1st, where I was rudely ignored, & then forgotten. I was about to call it quits, but it was really tome for a new car! I took a deep breath & called Star Mazda to see how busy they were. Israel answered my call, listened to me whine, and assured me He would personally take care of me. He asked about the car I wanted to see, & color, so he could have some options ready when I arrived. I was amazed when I arrived, was warmly greeted by SEVERAL sales ppl and other employees, AND my sales guy Israel was ready to show me the car I wanted! Israel has got to be one of the most thorough and patient sales ppl on the planet! I fell in love with the CX5 after taking it on the fwy & being shown all safety features. But that was the easy part! Israel patiently gave me every possible option btwn buying and leasing, answering a million questions, and then, walked around their storage lot with me, in 100 degree weather, while I went back and forth over color. In all, Israel spent about 6 hrs with me ensuring I got exactly what I wanted. Then off to financing, where Don took GREAT care of me, explaining every detail along the way. Even the GM came by a few times to check on me! He's a doll, btw! EVERYONE came by at some point to congratulate me on my new car. Star Mazda honestly made one of my least favorite tasks, a more than enjoyable experience! I cannot strongly enough recommend Star Mazda, and Israel in particular! If you want a knowledgeable dealer, an attentive & patient salesperson, AND A REALLY SWEET & thorough Finance guy (Don) or if you're just sick of the old school super pressure, inattentive, snobby salespeople, GO TO STAR MAZDA! And really, if you're looking for an SUV and haven't checked out the CX5 yet, I highly recommend it! I absolutely LOVE MY NEW Grand Touring CX5!!! Thank you Star Mazda! read more

After researching online, Star Mazda had the best priced used car in the year/make/model (Honda Civic, not a Mazda) that I was looking for in all of LA, and it had the least amount of miles! So I came down for a test drive to see if it was too good to be true. Sure enough, the car was in perfect condition with barely any miles on it. I worked with Israel, who was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process, but was not pushy at all when my wife and I deliberated and asked for some time to ourselves. I should also mention that Israel took a detailed video of the exterior and interior of the car and sent it to us before we even came to the dealership so we knew it was in good condition! We also dealt with his manager John who was just as friendly and helpful. In the end we drove away with the best priced car in town after a quick and painless trip to Star Mazda. Not many other car buying experiences can be better. I highly recommend Star Mazda, and Israel in particular. read more

I brought in my car for repairs. I was called at 4 pm and told I can pick it up, without any warning about a closing time. So I checked online and saw the place is open until 6. Great. I ordered food for pickup as I was dropped off at 5:30 so I could grab the food on the way home, walked up to the garage, and found it closed at 5. But a cashier was supposed to still be available to give me my keys. Turns out, she bounced early that day without telling anyone and no one else there had keys to the office where my car keys were stored. So they called someone in to open the office. Great. Then, after my keys were freed, they spent the next 36 minutes holding my keys until someone could make time for the 20 seconds it required to process payment for my repairs. I told one person I had a food order waiting for pickup, but no one cared in the slightest or made time to process the 20 second payment. During this wait, I also witnessed several employees indoors with their masks off or their noses uncovered. One had his mask fully off while sitting in an enclosed office with another person (unclear if that was a customer or not). At the end of this, they never did or offered anything to make this right. I appreciate that they called someone who had a key to where my car keys were stored, but overall, they displayed a complete lack of concern for the wait and inconvenience. Truly astounding, terrible service. Update - if you simply search Star Mazda on Google, it says "Closing at 6" on Saturdays. You have to click on more info to see that the auto repair center closes earlier. The owner's response to my review was complete nonsense and ignores the rude service, the fact that a cashier left early when he or she should've been there until 6 to give me my car, and the failure to use masks, indoor, in violation of the law. I will never go back to Star Mazda and I recommend others also refrain from using their services. They're somehow worse than chain repair shops. read more

First time Mazda owner and I was pleased with the experience. Abiel was attentive to my needs. Thanks star Mazda!

I had to get a couple repairs done, and I knew I was also due for my 60k service. I couldn't afford to do the full service, so David was incredibly transparent about what was essential, and what I could definitely put off. Plus, he ended up knocking a nice chunk of labor costs off for me, so not only were the repairs done quickly and expertly, but it came in under cost. read more

If you are looking to buy a car and are looking for a great sales experience go to Star Mazda. After looking at a gazillion cars and talking to so many salesmen (why always men and why so much cologne?!) I got connected to Kyle at Star Mazda. Kyle made the process super easy with zero pressure. I got a very fair price with very little hassle. It made the stressful process of buying a car a bit less stressful. As if all that wasn't positive enough - we had to wait a few minutes to talk to Ryan in finance (who is also awesome) and Star had a GREAT selection of magazines and the hockey finals on TV. The wait wasn't long at all but being able to read something decent was a total bonus! Anyway - should you have to buy a car - get it from Kyle at Star. read more

I've been to six dealerships in the past week and this was by far my worst experience. I came in with three specific cars I wanted to test drive. They were super nice to my (male) friend while I was using the restroom but the conversation completely changed tone once I entered the room. They refused to let me test drive with my California issued temporary id (note... temporary drivers license not a permit) which is the official format until the actual id arrives in the mail which can take several weeks. If this is an insurance limitation they should look into changing it because it cost them a car sale today. I could have written this off as if it weren't for the patronizing and unhelpful attitude of the employees. The salesperson told me I was "all over the place" based on the cars I wanted to test and completely missed out on an opportunity to ask questions to help a first time car buyer narrow down the best options. I showed him a car I wanted to test from their website and he acted like he had no idea what car I was talking about. He also told me I would probably need a co-signer despite having zero knowledge of my financial situation and was very condescending about it. It was clear they wrote me off as a customer from the start which was a mistake since I purchased a car two hours later after getting great customer service at both Volkswagen and Toyota. read more

Just bought a Mazdaspeed 3 there a few days back. I usually feel as though I have been ripped off after buying a car. I usually just have this nagging feeling that I somehow got screwed. This is the first time that I have felt really good driving off the lot. I test drove the car and I was very clear that I was waiting for the insurance check to come before I would purchase (I tootled my previous car). I didn't get any pressure to buy that day, I left the lot with a couple business cards and a handshake or two. In the next couple days, I received a crazy deal from another dealer and, while I wanted to go back to Star, I decided that I would drive out to the other dealer. I called Star back and they matched the price and, when I said that I couldn't get over there, they picked me up from work. ...They also beat my credit union's rate so I switched over to their financing. All in all, couldn't be happier. read more

When my sister's car died she was pressed into the market immediately. As a "car guy" I went with her to develop her short list and help negotiate her purchase decision. We decided on the Mazda 3 (over the new Elantra and Civic). The people we met with were all very easy to deal with and professional. We initially made a "deal" for price and payment options with Norm (sales rep) and Paul (manager). Even after putting two different finance options down in writing they let us walk out and think about it - with ZERO pressure. Of course several other dealers we had met with (Mazda and otherwise) called and said they could beat the deal, but when pressed for details all sounded a little "fishy" and distrustful. Even when another Mazda dealer "promised" to beat our quoted price by a few hundred buck, dealing with Norm and Paul just "felt right". We went the next day. Unfortunately niether Norm or Paul were there - but we were assured that the price and deal would be honored . . . and low and behold - it was! Jim pinch-hit for Norm and was solid, friendly and professional. And Rueben the finace manager was about as nice and low pressure as it gets. A top-notch experience. Most Yelp complaints have been about the service dept. Will be sure to follow up when the time comes. read more
