Purchased a used car from them in 2012, they were pushy as you can expect from a car salesman but that's not why I'm writing a one star review. The car I had driven was a little noisy but I didn't think anything of it at the time (I didn't know any better, my first used car purchase). I am now facing $3,000 worth of repairs due to a transmission issue that was never addressed. The problem had to be narrowed down from the engine to the bearings to finally the transmission. Had I known the vehicle had preexisting transmission problems I would have never invested in this vehicle. When I purchased the car it also had 'new' tires on it, that had visible cracking and wear from age. The tires were dated from prior to 2010 at the time and I had to replace them immediately. If you should choose to deal with this company, please take caution as they seem to cut corners to close a sale. I will take caution in my future vehicle purchases and I would never recommend Stapp Interstate for a car purchase, used or new. read more

I just bought a Tundra and let go of my beloved FJ that I had also purchased at Stapp. So if you are in the market for a trail edition Fj they have it now. I would look no further for an easy, professional, knowledgeable purchase. I have been experiencing nothing but the best here at Stapp Interstate Toyota for the last 17 years. Everyone is knowledgeable, professional and experienced. They make a car purchase actually fun. I thought about using the Costco car buying program but find that theses guys are fair with both my trade in and purchase so I bypassed my Costco option, I really had no need of it. CHOOSE ANOTHER DEALER!! Price gouging on basic services. They have current specials for oil change that includes tire rotation and multi point inspection. $34.95 if they use their conventional oil. $54.95 if they use their full synthetic ( which they claim is comparable to Mobil 1 - ummm, sure it is). The thing is, if you purchase and bring your own synthetic oil they insist on still charging the $54.95! The job is exactly the same whether they pour in a conventional or synthetic, so it should be $34.95 - the fact they aren't using ANY of their oil means it should be less, but that's another story! The customer service person I spoke to was arrogant and short with me when I tried to explain the lack of logic in this 'deal'. Bottom line, choose another dealer, most are ran with common sense and you won't be robbed. $20 is $20. See the other reviews - their consumer service sucks and they fail to realize that one negative review on a site like Yelp will cost them a fortune. Until they 'get it', good luck to them! read more

Overall the building and people that work there are great (3-4 stars). Sales folk will work with you on pricing/financing but be prepared for some haggling. The problem is there service department. When calling in to make an appointment you'll be lucky to get a service rep on the phone. If you leave a message you probably won't be called back. When you do drop your car off they constantly call the wrong # for updates/ car pick up. There rarely are any service specials, which would be nice for oil changes (what I get for not changing my own oil). Stapp is not a bad place to purchase a car, I dealt with Marcas and he was a non-pressure salesman (mention Bryan if you go) and the owner was very friendly and actually talked with use when we purchased a vehicle. The service department just needs a tune-up before I can rate Stapp with 3-4 stars. read more

I was in contact with Bruce in sales in regards to leasing a Tacoma for my fiancé. Just like a typical sleezy car salesman he tried to take advantage of me because I was a young woman. When I called him out on it (since I have sold cars for a number of years), he became even nastier telling me I didn't know "the basic function of math". What a great way to treat potential buyers! I spent a week looking at several different Highlanders and told the one I finally chose had ALL the bells & whistles. Well it better, its a limited platinum!! Found out the hardway that was a total lie. Both my husband and I were told by two different sales people that they would email me a link to download the toyota app and I could remote start my car and set the cabin temp. I never got the email, and after I had to come back the next day to have a manager walk me through my car, it was determined by even another sales person that my brand new 2019 Highlander Limited Platinum that cost me $49k, does NOT have remote start from my key OR from the app!!! I at that point asked to return the car I have only had for 16 hrs and take back my trade. I was told no, I can not do that. So, I'm stuck with a car I hate and was totally lied to about its features... and not to forget, some of the features just dont work at all!! WTF!! This is the last time I ever buy a Toyota!! The manager asked me to wait until Monday (today is Saturday) because today is just too busy, but he will try to make it right. I will believe it when I see it. Right now, I would NOT recommend this dealership, as their sales people either don't know their products or they just simply lie out there asses to get a sale. What's going on with the Service scheduling? Long time customer with two Toyotas but I've made 2 appointments in Oct & Nov 2017, one was made with the staff member who answers the general phone (303) 776-1743, and one made when connected to a service rep. When I arrived for both appointments, the service desk said I wasn't on the schedule. After the first appointment I was turned away at 10 am for an oil change, which is an inconvenience since I'm in north Denver. The second appointment I wrote down name of the person who scheduled it and gave the date & time of the phone call to the service desk when I arrived. They accepted my vehicle but said it would take all day because I wasn't in the schedule. My advice: get the name of the scheduler, verify that they're emailing you a confirmation, and call in before driving there. Or go elsewhere. read more

Today we have a brand new Toyota Highlander Limited parked in our garage, after a very positive and professional sales experience at Stapp Interstate. Since we know satisfied customers often don't bother writing reviews, we thought we would make the effort and share our experiences. We dealt with the owner, Art Stapp. We had shopped around a bit before stepping into this dealership, and the service, communication, and efficiency we received from Art was by far the best of anyone we had dealt with. He worked with us to reach fair and reasonable price targets for our trade in and purchase price, and at no stage did we feel pressured. Ultimately, we received a good deal compared with another deal we had rejected elsewhere. We did not play one dealer off another, so we were very interested to discover what the differences were. We found Art Stapp made much more effort to meet us halfway on both trade-in and the many extras we wanted, and that was without our using another deal as "leverage." Obviously everyone has their own perspective and expectations when they work with a car dealer. From our vantage point, as owners of three vehicles, and people who trade in a car for brand new every 2-3 years, Stapp Interstate exceeded our expectations in virtually every way. The dealership facilities are excellent. The treatment we received from every staff member we encountered was very professional. We drove away feeling really happy with our new car and appreciative of the respect and integrity we received in striking a deal fair to both parties. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The service on the sales floor is appalling. I went in ready to purchase a brand new truck. I had a recommendation from a friend and dealt with the insufferable manager. Quoted his best price told the truck would be in 3 weeks from that date. I put a $500 deposit down. Well 3 weeks goes by and I call "well it looks like it will be another 10 days or so". I have since sold my car with the expectation of my new truck. I am now stuck with no car for who knows how long. After another week and several more date changes still no truck. They tell me they will give a loner for the time being. No loners available. I get a rental they have not arranged to pay for it. I was fed up when I called the next week and was told basically "don't call us we will call you" when it gets here. Nope I am done. Call Fort Collins they have what I want drive up there drive home with my truck. Next day the insufferable manager calls "we have your truck" I tell him I no longer want it and he gets all mad and says we ordered this for you (no you told me that was what was coming in). I don't want it I say I have one it has been over 5 weeks. I say all I want is my deposit and he says no that is for the rental. No way are you steeling my $500. He is a bully and tries to use his enormous size to intimidate me when I go in to get my money. Another sales person walks by and tries to side with him who I have never talked to. I took my van in about a month ago. After I brought it home, my husband noticed a dent in it. I drove it from the dealership to home. It was hard for me to see the dent but my husband has an eye for those kind of things, and it is in a weird spot. I called and let them know and asked if they had any video surveillance possibly. RUN!!! take your hard earned money to Corwin Toyota in Boulder or any other Toyota dealer you can find. I bought a brand new Tacoma from them and had issues at 36,000 miles, right at the main warranty expired. They diagnosed it as a faulty fuel injector and then offered a $900 fix. Would not have covered it under the manufactures 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty, that came with my truck. Called Toyota and they confirmed the fuel injector was under the trucks original 60,000 mile drivetrain warranty. Toyota recommended I take the truck to Corwin in Boulder. Daniel and the team there diagnosed the issue not as a faulty fuel injector but as leaking exhaust valves. They ordered all parts and did the repair with no charge to me. Then, upon completion of reassembly of the engine, they diagnosed the intake valves on the same cylinder turned out to be bent. They ordered a completely new head and valves, did all the work and it runs smoother than the day I bought it. Charge to me - $0 dollars. Meanwhile had I trusted Stapp I would have been out $900 and the problem would still exist. Thank you to Corwin Toyota for taking care of me. Stapp, where I purchased the truck didn't even try to help me and stand up for Toyota's manufacture warranty. Don't walk...RUN from these crooks, quite simply they are dishonest people. Have had my 2013 Tacoma TRD O/R serviced here since new. Very clean & organized service department, nice staff, & showroom is sparkling. Last week I had my vehicle service, minor warranty item and an oil change. In addition, I had a noise in the front end somewhere, and told the service writer to have the mechanic check it out, but that even though my Tacoma was still under warranty, that I suspected the noise to be the lift that I had installed elsewhere, and aftermarket. Upon the completion of the service and repairs, the service writer explained all work was done, & that she had her best mechanic that was familiar with lift kits repair the front end issue and while nothing major, he inspected, tested, & tightened up the loose parts with recommendation I keep an eye on it. Noise was gone, and all was well. Oh, by the way, they only charge me for my oil change service and did not charge me for the front end repair/inspection. . My take away was how that's old school and great service, most places charge you for everything. Thank you Interstate Toyota! read more

I had a great experience buying a used 4Runner at Stapp. I've bought cars from other dealerships before, and felt like taking a shower afterwards due to the sleaziness. But this was a difference experience. It seemed kindler and gentler. The sales associate, Aaron, was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Extremely disappointed in the service department. We have leased several vehicles from Stapp but this will likely be the last one. We paid for tint and keyless start, which had to be installed at a later date...so I took the day off to do it. I was told it would be done in 3-4 hours. After 5 hours we called, were told they didn't know what was going on, and they'd call back. They didn't. We went to Stapp and asked at the counter, after seeing the car parked in the service entry. The keyless entry had not been installed. Come to find out, most of these things are being done by third party vendors...in this case, Cartoys. They called the installer who acted like it was news to him that he should have been there five hours ago to do it. Meanwhile the car sat for hours with nobody following up and it couldn't be completed until the next day, further inconveniencing me due to logistical conflicts. Irate, I asked that Cartoys discount the service and for Stapp to pass that along to us. Instead, I was told that they had mistakenly applied a clear protective coating to the hood we didn't ask for, and that we should consider that their "gift" to us, instead. So their solution was to use one mistake to make another mistake right. We were blown away by that logic. read more

I've decided I may be finished with getting estimates and service at Stapp's service department. One thing I've noticed pricing their repair estimates is they average pretty consistently close to 40% higher than other competent service shops in Longmont. I bought a used RAV 4 from another dealer and it needed a few grand with of work. Stapp's quotes were way higher than the competition. Months ago, I got a recall on my front suspension for the used RAV 4, and Stapp was not content just billing Toyota for work they are required by law to do as a dealership, and had to pitch an oil change, which annoyed me and felt kinda cheap. Not to mention a $120 fee to investigate other issues, which was non-refundable if you don't do it there. I never had these types of issues with Valley Subaru when I drove an Outback. read more

I recently wrote a glowing review of these people because I thought they had done a fantastic job on resetting my 2014 4 Runner computer when it was back ended in Feb. Then I kept getting a consistent and very annoying beep and I reached out and left a message for Lupe who was my service advisor. NEVER received a response back. Then when we were trying to check under the hood to see what we could do since they never responded, we realized they broke the hood latch!!!! Came here to get a set of new tires installed. The first attempt to mount and balance took 7 hours. It pulled left and taking a right bend at 45+ feels like driving over drunk bumps. A 2nd attempt at alignment was slightly better, but they were unable to resolve the drive issues. The "customer service" woman was rude and dismissive. The service manager seemed to want to help but cancelled the next 2 attempts to drop off the RAV4, and now won't return a call. Attempting a manufacturer exchange of the tires at this point. I always have my car serviced here because sit is fast and they deliver my car clean. ** This last visit was my final free Toyota Care service. I was told that I needed a new cabin filter and gave consent to have one installed. After my service was completed and I paid for my $50 filter, I was offered the Toyota Care Plus which would cover my car for an additional 25,000 miles at $299. She then told me that my next service would probably be $199 or in my case, $150 because I already paid for the cabin filter which is usually included... EXCEPT I already paid for it... Needless to say, the service agents timing is bad and I felt duped! She should have offered me the Toyota Care Plus agreement when she told me about my filter needing to be replaced. read more

I completely regret driving all the way out to this dealership. We had a specific vehicle we wanted to purchase and would have. However, the salesman only wanted to sell us a lease. At the beginning of his pitch i told him we didn't want to lease. His response was "hear me out". Now I'm a well mannered person so I tried diplomatically to steer us away from the lease several times but he wanted to beat this into the ground. I think he said "let me finish" about 4 times. He interrupted me talking to my wife several more times. After waisting our time I was tired hungry and disinterested. So we left. He literally talked him self out of the sale. The car we were looking at wasn't at the lot the first time we came down after looking at it online, but he was very prompt at keeping me up to date on where it was and when we could come see it. When we did come see it, we were extremely pleased with everything. There were a couple things that he addressed right away (minor exterior dings) and reassured us that Toyota would take care of it. The worst experience ever. Took my 2019 Tundra in for a few repairs, ended up leaving with more issues than when I arrived. I scheduled a 25k service and a recall on a fuel pump paid for by Toyota. I was given a Tacoma as a rental whilst they worked on my vehicle. When I left my truck, I told them that I was having shaking issues upon breaking. They completed the 25k service and fuel pump and called to let me know that there was an issue with the brake rotors needing to be machined down as they had become warped. I have no issues with paying for repairs on my vehicles when they are justified. I asked how this could happen after such limited miles and wear and was told by Stapp that even though its rare at this mileage it can still happen. I was told by Lupita that she had spoken with Toyota and they would not cover it under warranty. I decided it was probably best I give them a call to see what the issue was and if machining them was a smart option on a big truck. Toyota were very helpful over the phone and explained that it is indeed rare but Colorado being mountainous it can happen sooner. However, Toyota were going to be generous and agreed with my plight and were nice enough to cover the repair. Very happy with Toyota. My repair was completed, and I picked up my Truck from Stapp. As soon as I got onto the road and highway nearby I noticed several issues immediately. My truck was way out of balance to the extent that it became undrivable on the highway as the whole rig was shaking. Not only that, it now has an extreme pull to the right. I need to turn the wheel a considerable amount to stop it going into the hard shoulder. I called the Stapp and spoke to Lupita. She told me that because I went through Toyota that the new issues, which were a direct result of the repair would not be covered. At no point was I told this and it was a major concern that I could get back onto the road without these concerns being brought up. Lupita told me that she didn't' want me to have a bad image of Stapp and that I should bring it in immediately and they would make it right. At no point did I question what "making it right was" as I assumed they would just take care of the repair. The week after, I brought it in and left it with them. I left to go to work for the day. After about an hour Lupita had called and left a voicemail stating that the vehicle did indeed need to be balanced and aligned and that it was going to cost me $130 to get this repair done after a deduction of $20 on their behalf. I was initially quoted $190 for the brake repairs which Toyota took care of. I was told that if I had paid for the repairs instead of Toyota that it would have been balanced. I was hoping that a little common sense would prevail here but that wasn't the case. I spoke to the service manager Ryan on the Friday evening just about 30 minutes before they closed, he stated that it was not their fault and the vehicle had the issues before coming to them. I told him that was for sure not the case, but he was unwilling to take any accountability and the whole exchanged with him very unpleasant especially from someone in a managerial position. They also lost my wheel cap which is about $80, and I didn't even want to bring that up with them. Toyota has been great through this whole ordeal and are even advising me as I set up some paperwork about this issue with them. It takes me 40 minutes to get to Stapp and I have been back and forward 6 times in the last week or so. It is bad enough that I have a busy job working for the state, let alone the fact that there is a pandemic going on. I would advise everyone to never do business with this dealership. By far the worst experience EVER! They do not keep their word and will look out for themselves and not the customer. This dealership made a deal with me for a new tundra which was supposedly on the way to the dealership. They checked my credit and made me put a deposit on the truck in order to secure the vehicle. I received a call 6 days after the deal was made telling me that the truck had been sold to another party. This is very confusing to me since I had made the deal, put a deposit down and got my credit checked all for nothing?!?! I believe that they felt that it was a bad deal for them so they just sold the truck to someone else that probably overpaid for it and thus this company looked out for themselves and disregarded me as a customer. Needless to say I will never buy from or recommend this dealership to anyone I like. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a dealership. I brought my car to repair a fluid leak and they wound up tearing apart the engine until the car was no longer working. Then they told me that the car could not be made operable again unless the engine was completely replaced. I will never visit this dealership again and this horrible experience may have soured me from ever purchasing another Toyota vehicle in the future. Went to look at a car on their lot and initially was expecting to see a guy named TJ "the internet sales manager" whatever that means, and ended up dealing with some guy named Bruce who was terrible. He knew nothing about the Jeep we looked at nor did he care to help us with questions. We simply took a test drive, which he limited, and that was that. The Jeep has been on their lot for 140 plus days, due to stained and damaged leather interior. Which Bruce admitted but didn't seem to care about. Won't be going back there again. read more

They did a fine job with that (or no issues so far hence the 2 stars) but the service was terrible. They never called me to talk about my car on the second day and I waited by the phone. I tried to call 4x and they wouldn't connect me with anyone from service instead they said they would send a priority message to service. Finally they called me the next day and said they tried calling me a bunch of times but I never answered and it went to voicemail and I didn't have a mailbox set up. I definitely do. When I said that I didn't receive one missed call they said "well I don't know what to tell you." They were extremely rude to be honest. They also said they didn't receive one priority message. After dropping my car off for maintenance, I was told a shuttle wasn't available to take me home and told I would be called when one was available. I was left waiting in the lobby for an hour. When I walked up to the desk to inquire, I was in a shuttle within 3 minutes. Throughout the day, I found it impossible to engage the dealership to find out the status of my vehicle despite 4 or 5 phone calls, voicemails left with two different people, and even the chat agent on their website. I wasn't even notified when my car was ready...I had to call them to find that out too. I emailed two people about my experience the next day. Those emails were ignored as well. No apology. No "thanks for the feedback". Amazing. A week later I sent a third email to one of the higher-ups and finally got someone who would communicate with me. Apparently they had a problem employee and fired them just days after my visit. It sounds like I just got unlucky. I was impressed that upper management took the time to look into my case and called me back and was very willing to listen and communicate. I just think it's a shame that I had to contact so many people in order to get to that point. read more
