I had an appointment for my 2017 tacoma. Kiley Zamudio was my service advisor, she didnt even take the time to look at me. She only asked a few questions, and that was it. My tacoma was in for a bad torque converter, which was covered by an extended warranty. They tried to charge me over $500 for a break job and also Issue: 90, 000 MILE SERVICE, which I had completed at 91k miles ( I have 113k ) on my tacoma and they wanted to charge me $1774.50 for the 90k mile service that I already had done. They didn't even test drive it over 0.3 miles and said I my torque converter was fine. read more

I found a 4Runner on their website, and they cleaned it and made it appealing. Beyond the test drive my experience was disappointing and has left a continuing feeling that I was taken advantage of. Don't be fooled, they are just like any car dealership and their priority is their profit margin and not your experience. I left paying more than the website price, after HOURS in their showroom while multiple sales people stopped in and out of the office, creating a very confusing atmosphere, just as they intended I'm sure. They claimed my credit score was lower than it was or has been since, by almost 50 points. This allowed them to claim the only way I could finance it was to pay for a 5 year full service plan through Toyota. GET YOUR FINANCING SET UP BEFORE GOING TO THIS DEALERSHIP. My previous rating holds true ONLY as my experience pertains to the purchase of my vehicle. I returned to Stapp for my regular maintenance and was continually disappointed with the lack of promptness and communication. The last straw, however, was my last service when I returned to my vehicle and noted that a small plastic cover was missing on my shift console. I inquired about the missing part and the service rep said he would check with the employees in the shop to see if they'd removed the piece. He returned and said that they hadn't. I told him the piece definitely was not missing when I dropped my vehicle off for service at which point he offered to get the service manager. Mike Schultz then graced me with his presence. He insisted that his employees did not remove or break the part. I rebutted and told him I was certain the part was not missing when I dropped my vehicle off. He told me I was welcome to order the part and return to have it installed. I told him I was neither interested in paying for the part nor returning to Stapp for any reason in the future. After a few minutes of back and forth, no apology or acknowledgement of my frustration and a number of condescending remarks, he begrudgingly "offered" to order the part to me and have it shipped if I would agree to return for services. I told him I would consider it. He said he would order the part and have it shipped to me. Weeks later I had not received the part and called to inquire and was told there was no order pending. I left a voicemail voicing my frustration and proceeded to look up the part online. The part was $2.44. I ordered the part online and Stapp shipped a part i received a few days later-I threw it in the trash. I think it's telling that the service manager was more interested in saving $2.44 than working with a customer to remedy an issue with his service department. One of the poorest representations of customer service I've experienced. Unfortunate considering my vehicle purchase was fantastic. Mr. Schultz does a huge disservice to this dealership. read more

Because I had had issues with Tire Rotation not being performed, My neighbor and I marked the skid plate. They charged for oil filter, so the plate had to be removed. I bought a new Camry from this dealership a month ago, when I got home the tire went low in a few days, took it to discount tire to review tire and there was a plug in the tire and was non repairable. Spoke to customer service at Stapp Interstate and the service manager Ryan admitted that the car I purchased tire had a plug however at the time of purchase the tire held the correct pressure. They indicated they wouldn't consider replacing the tire for me and pretty much said sorry for your bad luck and apologized. Dropped my truck off at 1030a for a transmission fluid drain and refill. Was told it would take about 1.5 hours. Came back around 100p, was told that it would be another 30-40 mins because the tech wasn't finished. Went into town for about 35 mins, called to make sure it would be done before we returned. We were told then that the tech hadn't even started working on it yet. Asked them to pull my truck around front for me to pickup immediately. My husband went in to speak to the service manager and he got loud and lied right to him about how the service needed to be done. My husband has been mechanic for 20+ years, so he knows exactly what and how long it takes to do this service. Will NEVER return to this dealership for anything again. Keegan gleaton is a JOKE! Don't believe him. In all honesty I wouldn't even bring my service back because of him. He ruined it for everyone that works there. That one bad apple! Bought wheels and tires, TRD PRO lift kit, black out emblems, got me on the schedule for install. Well that day came and he never mentioned a wheel was delayed even though I spoke with his dumb xxx that morning and he still allowed me to waste my time by driving to the dealership to drop of my truck for them to install everything. Not only waste my time he wasted my wife's time, because she had to pick me up. Well after getting home 30 minutes later I get a phone call saying it's impossible to install in a day when MR Keegan said it will be done the next day. So I went back to get my truck due to lack of not knowing xxxx! I cancel the install everything, well I still wanted everything but he was butt hurt and wouldn't sell me the stuff almost a week later we agreed to have everything installed because I believed in the dealership and couldn't judge it because of Keegans unprofessional childish games. I wanted to pick up my wheels to get the ceramic coated done, come to find out MR Keegan has now change the price and increased it. So one star for a decent, likeable rep who found the 4 Runner i wanted However, the lease numbers they came back with were a complete scam. Base model SR5 4Runner for $38,165 before incentives somehow translates to a lease $5000 down and $671/mo payment. WTF?!?!!? Residual was $25,164, so residual over 36 mos (13k minus $5k down) of $8k is $222 per mo. The money factor and tax cant be over $400/mo alone. Another dealer just quoted me $389/mo for the same model and just $2k down. This is so insulting and a complete waste of my time. So, never, ever, ever visit this dealer. --Rebuttal to Brion Stapp's response below-- Let me start by letting you all know that I am a numbers guy. I have been doing analytics for almost 15-yrs. I know a rotten deal when I see one. Brion Stapp clearly lays out the factors for a lease deal. Yes there are lots of them. I don't argue they make this whole thing so complex, only they can understand it. For this next part, let's quote my Stapp: "However, the vehicle you asked us to run numbers on was a 2019 Toyota 4Runner and therefore does not have any incentives from the manufacture which will result in a dramatically higher monthly payment." He then goes on to say that Toyota offers a deal on 2018 4Runners, 3299 down, $349/mo on approved credit. That sounds great. He even says they give me this deal. However, I don't want any of the 2018's on the lot. I want the 2019, Silver, SR5 with added heated seats. I certainly acknowledge the difference in model year and the lack of "incentives" on the model I want but all leases are calculated the same and a different doesn't justify scalping me for $10k. I asked the sales rep for your best lease deal on a 2019 4Runner SR5. She came back with numbers from a different planet. Again, a 36-mo, 12k-mile lease, with $5,000 down and $671/mo. DO the math that's $29,156 over three years simply to LEASE a vehicle. I can pay cash for a Corolla and still go to the casino for that. Regardless of model, trim, etc, all leases are calculated the same. Let's take the car I want, which Mountain States Toyota has. The MSRP is $37,939, with NO INCENTIVES, NO DOWN PAYMENT. The lease is about residual and depreciation, so let's say after three years it has a value of $25,500. That means I pay for $12,439 per month, plus money factor and tax. So, base payment is $346/mo. Tax is 8.8%, so $30.45. Figure Good credit at 6.9% translates to a lease money factor of 0.002875 (APR divided by 2400). So, MSRP is $37,939 multiply by the money factor is $109.07. So, total payment is $346 + $109.07 = $455.07. Now for the tax, payment times 8.8% is $495.12. That doesn't even factor in a DOWN PAYMENT. So, how does Mr Stapp get to $29,156 on a car only worth $38k, is beyond me. The numbers above, verified by multiple brokers, come to $19k. What is Mr Stapp planning to do with an extra $10k that no one can account for? Boat payment due? Where Mr Stapp gets $671/mo with $5,000 down over 36 mos regardless of vehicle is simply a scam. The fact that Mr Stapp will only engage with me if I have another dealers quote in hand is further proof he is scamming people. These are the facts, the tech left the drain plug loose after they were done. Next day my wife was off to her bible study, I walked into our garage and there was an oil spot under where her car sits after she left, her car does not leak oil. I had to tighten the drain plug so she could drive. This was the second instance of poor service from Stapp in the last year. Traded my 2018 Highlander for a 2018 Sequoia last week and drove 900 miles from Texas, not all that familiar with the different vehicle. A dashboard warning light came on and they got me right in and solved the problem, allaying my fears in the process. I also bought some new WeatherTech floor mats and they even knocked a few bucks off those because I was missing one with the Sequoia and they felt sorry for me. Wow. I didn't realize this dealership had such poor reviews. Makes sense now. I went their to replace my windshield on my 2020 4Runner. Is was a $1400 repair because the camera had to be recalibrated. I specifically brought it there because I thought they were the best to handle. Well, I left it there while I was on vacation and picked up about a week after it was fixed. None of the windshield stickers were transferred over nor was my toll tag. This is always done with say Safelite and other reputable companies. Also the adhesive tape was still on windshield. When I called to explain my displeasure Stapp quickly passed the buck to the third party service provider that did the repair. DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES IN SERVICE DEPARTMENT! GOT BAIT AND SWITCHED! I needed my 12V battery replaced on my Prius. I called multiple Toyota dealerships in the Denver metro to get a quote. This one confirmed the lowest price multiple times on the phone at $130 including installation (after a $20 coupon from their site), so my husband and I drove 45 minutes there separately to drop my car off. However, once we got there, we were told the price would be more than double and their employee quoted us the rate for a diagnostic check instead of a battery replacement. They refused to honor the misquoted rate and took no responsibility for THEIR mistake. The situation got escalated to the Customer Relations Manager, JACQUELYN JOY. Her demeanor from the start was horrendous and gave us a take it or leave it attitude. She told us the best she can do was $205 (not including installation or fees) and that she will not do the $130 that we were told over the phone. When we questioned her, she told us that we "didn't have it in writing". At first she told us the $205 was her giving us half off the battery to split the difference but then turned around and said that $205 was the actual price of the battery. She couldn't even keep her lies straight. There is NO way the battery costs more than $400 for a 12V like she initially claimed. She then asked for our VIN so she can check the exact price of the battery for our car. WHERE DID THE $205 PRICE COME FROM THEN?? There are plenty of other Toyota dealerships in the Denver metro. I highly suggest you go to anywhere but here, unless you like being lied to and wasting your time. If you have any issues with your service, good luck. Jacquelyn is the WORST customer service manager I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Expect to be cut off every time you try to talk along with a super defensive attitude. Her only priority is to get you to leave and go somewhere else, which she told us to do multiple times. Bought a new 2021 Avalon there and had previously bought a brand new Camry there about 7 years ago. They have gone downhill badly. The salesman was not friendly and made several remarks that left me cold. The process of him taking your offer to the manager is one that has always pissed me off. They tried to lowball us on our trade in. They dont have a finance person any more and the entire process is handled by the sales person. They dont explain it well and it gets INSANE with the after sale add-ons. They dont show any appreciation for your business at all. No thanks, no nothing. When we were done it was just the salesman walking away after telling me in no uncertain terms that I no longer owned the car I traded. I have to wonder why it is that way now. Horrible Service! When I moved to Colorado a few years ago I wanted to find a Toyota dealership for service. I tried Stapp for an oil change. I made an appointment and showed up on time. There was one other car in for service at Stapp. After 45 minutes I asked about my car...was told it was almost done...15 more minutes...same answer...this went on for another hour. It took 2 hours to do an oil change! Then they were going to charge almost $90. Spent another 30 minutes getting handed off from one person to another to managers as I wanted to complain. While they did give me the oil change for free, I vowed never to go back. Last week I got a recall notice for another Toyota, and figured it'd been a couple years, I'll give them another chance. I called Stapp Service and asked for an appointment. I was told the system was down and, without asking, was transferred to a manager. She told me the system was down, and that she'd call back one exit was up. Ok..gave name and number. Two days later...still no call. Called back and was asked to hold. Do not take your car here! Not unless you want to get stuck with an outrageous bill. $135/hr labor!!! They mark parts up 400%! Customer service was terrible. They took two days to process my vehicle into their system because one hand doesn't know what the other one did. When they told me how much replacing my starter was going to take I was in shock. Then to top it off when I said no thanks I'm going to have someone else do the work. I did agree to the $135 diagnosis fee and that my mechanic will just come to get it. Then 20 minutes later I get a call that oops they magically fixed it. Now come pay I was furious. A review of the parts department- I needed a battery for a 2001 Sequoia. For whatever reason, finding a battery has been problematic. The correct battery is a 27F. I had to ditch Sears because their computer would only allow me to buy a 17, which has the terminals reversed. So, told the parts employee at Sapp that I needed a 27F. They wheeled out a 27. I asked if it was a 27F. I was told yep. Sinxe I paid for a 27F and was told that it was and since I dont work the parts department at Sapp, I believed the employee. I didnt realize their mistake until I tried to install it in a dead on the road sequoia. I was able to return before the parts department closed and was given a 24F. Are you kidding me????? I dont work there, but had to explain how this guy was again wrong. I cant even explain how much time I wasted by choosing this parts department for such a simple purchase. They made Sears seem less inept. I am in the market for a new tundra and possibly a new sequoia also and no way in hell will I buy from this dealership. read more

When I took my car in recently I was told they no longer honored that pledge. How sad, I guess it's sales at any cost... The first oil change/multipoint inspection my Tacoma received at Stapp was a great experience, they had me in and out within a 1.5 hours...nothing out of the ordinary. I left a happy customer. The second appointment however, wasn't so great. Booked an appointment for 11:00 AM on a Friday, needed an oil change and for the USB port to be looked at since I was receiving very weak charging from it. They quoted me at 1.5 - 2 hours tops. 1:15 PM rolls by, I see two lot techs driving my truck back-and-forth, back-and-forth in front of the dealership...I had parked in the back, by the service ports when I arrived. This seemed a bit odd, but at this point, I'm thinking maybe they're done servicing my vehicle and parking my truck out front. Nope, they drive the truck all the way back, to the back end of the dealership....What business do TWO lot techs have driving my vehicle around the lot? Beats the heck out of me!! I'm a bit irritated at this point, but decide to be patient a bit longer. It was about 2:45 PM when I finally decided to head back to the service desk and ask what the hold-up was, I had only been there 3.5 HOURS. The gentleman who I believe is the service manager explains to me that 3.5 hours is abnormally long for an oil change (YA THINK?!), but that the USB port diagnostics usually runs long...something about needing to get into the dash and configuring wires?............SURE! So, turns out a piece of the USB port needs replacement, they did not have this item in stock so it would require ordering - ok, no biggie! I was advised that I would receive a call the following week when the item had arrived. I finally leave the dealership close to 3:30 PM. I received a follow-up call from Jackie that same evening, very nice lady, reiterating that the said replacement item had been ordered, I will receive notification the following week. It has now been a month and I've yet to hear if the item has even arrived....at this point, I don't even want to call again for an update. read more

Seems rough to give 1 star but they've earned it. After multiple disconnects (no call back and not just a 1-time occurrence), and very poor customer service I'm leaving the review. We've been dealing with them for 2 or 3 years now. they won't schedule 1 appointment to review multiple issues but rather require multiple appointments (for example, we want to have the side mirrors and an armrest looked at... nope... two appointments and $100 upfront for each appt to review the issue) and - despite a number of poor interactions we have two big grievances: the A/C or vent smells like awful mildew. It started shortly after buying the car (brand new). To this day they tell its normal and can only be somewhat improved if we pay for premium filters and change them often. Second, both side view mirrors click or wiggle when the car accelerates and decelerates. Its really obvious, its really obnoxious, its all over their web forums for other Sienna owners (see link to Sienna Chat), its a significant distraction when driving and they have told us that this is normal operation --- in fact they said its part of the normal design -- ha! ... I couldn't believe it and so I wrote their management team but guess what... they doubled down and politely told me to piss off. Was told it would be 1.5 hours... Just hit the 2.25 hours and still waiting, for just an oil change and alignment... they take soooo long! It's a bit ridiculous. Especially when you consider that this is with an appointment! The waiting area is very basic. A play area for kids and that they allow dogs is the only plus. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have to... the only reason I've come more than once is that when I bought my Toyota we got the service package which covers oil changes up to 70,000 miles. I loved the service I used to receive at Mountain States Toyota, but when I moved to Longmont I felt it was too far of a drive, so I started coming to Stapp.... after 3 visits I'm so over it. They send you a text with a link that says it will update you on the vehicle status, but it never actually updated with a time or any info.... just says "coming soon" (more like never). Let it be known that I dislike leaving negative blog commentary, but THIS is significant because it involves your potential safety: We purchased a 4Runner from a private party and 2 days later, took it to Stapp service for a "Used Car diagnostic." My wife and I were told by Stapp that it was a great first car for our youth driver. However, after then taking this same car into a different local Toyota dealer service area in Boulder to replace a headlight, the car was deemed dangerous and unsafe to drive (ever!) due to massive overall undercarriage rust, creating significant structural (frame) compromise to the vehicle AND being told this problem was years in the making. We have documentation, photos, and print-outs, and multiple phone calls to Stapp have NOT been returned. They do not seem to care. I would not trust Stapp Toyota mechanics or service with any diagnostic responsibility, and suggest STAPP TOYOTA be avoided for service, repairs or diagnostics at ALL costs. We are out lots of money due to Stapp Toyota incompetence. Update 6/30: Just got a call from management to stay they are reviewing the situation. Stay tuned. The end of the story is Stapp Toyota will not take any responsibility for missing the mechanically compromised frame for our daughter's first car because they "don't look at the frame" and after all, it's all just speculation on our part. I was trying to purchase a land cruiser that was coming in. I was dealing with two different people. Nicole and Keegan. Keegan emailed me an offer then I emailed them back. Never heard anything. Then I messaged Nicole again she said she would get to the bottom of. Never heard anything again. 3 days past and I was still being ignored. I called the dealership on the third day and talked to Connor who finally did something but it was too late. He had Nicole call me back and she told me they sold the car. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I'm just shocked and would never recommend using this dealership. read more
