Great place to ship a box. It's less hectic than the post office and they had several people working behind the counter to make the process very quick and easy. I have been to this store for office supplies, faxing documents, printing copies and more....it's a one stop shop for many things related to office supplies. read more

I have had various projects for two nonprofits I volunteer with. The employees in the Print Department in Westerly Staples are amazingly kind and helpful. Got my product and about a month and a half later it just stops working they don't make sure their products are right before they put them on the shelves very unprofessional over there. Can't even get stored credit so I just lost $200 because of their return policy and they can't put stuff that's working on the shelves. Ya great customer service for sure read more

Never enough help at Return counter for some reason and the manager won't jump in when needed unless asked too???? Lines on the weekend are long and customers get irritated when other employees are just standing around doing nothing at all. Poor management in Westerly! read more

I have mailed UPS packages here for 3 years. Over 100 with no problem. Unfortunately in the last few months the lines are outrageous.... Because of the SLOW , CONFUSED, employee that doesn't know what he's doing and hasn't been trained well. Customers give their phone number and recent addresses are stored for a period of time in the app. He doesn't acknowledge this fact. I sent a package last week to an address I've mailed to monthly. I had the address clearly written out. When it didn't arrive I pulled out my receipts. The address was typed in incorrectly. Not even close! Yes, I should have checked my receipt before I left the store. However, the address was printed clearly on an index card that has been used many times to ship packages. UPS will not honor a claim because the package was delivered to the address HE typed in incorrectly. I am out the cost of the contents AND shipping. I realize it is hard to get employees but this it is unacceptable. Close down your UPS register if this is the best you can do Staples. read more

I was at Staples, Westerly yesterday to drop off 3 packages to return to Amazon. First the young man behind the counter insisted that he'd scanned 3 packages when he hadn't. I had to go back to correct his mistake which had almost cost me $24. The same guy looked irritated. He never even greeted me, much less apologized for his error. I went to speak to the manager, which was even WORSE! Why are kids running a Staples store? He was surly at best. No greeting even. When I told him what had happened, the last thing I said was that that employee sucked. This's his response, "Well, I'm not going to call him out now, and tell him he sucks. I'll just tell him to b kinder." (I was not suggesting he should! And I didn't expect him to call the kid aside right then?! Good grief! And what the heck has kinder got to do with it?! He should b told that an apology was necessary, for something that almost cost me $24. So, in fact, the encounter with the manager was even worse than the actual problem. I'm shocked that "managers," have no training in customer service and none when it comes to politeness!! Very disappointed!! read more

I get the fact Box stores hire young folks ( I am ancient and 61) that have no clue to what a customer related service attitude should be. That said, I bought an HP printer 6 months ago at Westerly Staples. I barely used it and I put paper in yesterday and got a weird message stating," Photo Tray is Blocked". Nothing I did fixed it. All the standard attempts no luck. Went to HP website and found many customers having the same error with my model. Clearly, this is a major issue and the printer becomes useless when this happens. No easy fix, no ability to troubleshoot this at home. Called Staples and first thing the guy asks is if I bought a warranty. Told him no since basic rarely used printers should always last much longer than 6 months. Asked him if anything could be done since I purchased it there. Told me no and that there are more reliable products out there if I wanted to buy those it would be a solution. I tried to explain when as a store you sell a product you represent that product and should help customers that handed you their money. No help, no apology, just kind of tough luck attitude. Will never, ever by laptops or printers again based on the lack of help or even empathy to the situation. What is wrong with this group of adults? read more

I was having a challenging time resizing prints at the self-serve area of the copy center. Three women, Zimra, Cheryl, and Kendra were exceptionally helpful to me. Without them I wouldn't have gotten the job done. I was grateful. read more

While I understand that they have rules at the copy station, the girl was extremely unpleasant to me. She would not let me use a computer to format a brand new usb stick that I had bought to scan to pdf. UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more

Worst customer service I was trying to send a ups package and after waiting 5 mins for someone to come to the counter. They couldn't scan my phone to print a label and refuse to help me to figure it out. read more

When I bought my laptop here less than a year ago the salesman installed my printer for me. He said, "if you have any problems at all bring it back and I'll help you out. Suddenly my laptop could not locate my printer, (same printer Staples installed) so I took it in to back. They told me flat out they cannot fix it. They didn't even look at it. They said its too old. When I bought the unit the sales tech said, "you will get 4 good years out of this laptop. Now they're telling me it's too old. I have bought my devices here and so has my husband and children for years. We are all done with Staples. read more
