I typically buy refurbished phones off eBay, but this time I saw an ad online saying support small businesses, and I decided why not, let me give it a shot. I walked in and the buying process was as smooth as it could have been. The refurbished phone was a bit scratched up but seemed to work fine. Two hours later the back of the refurbished phone (iPhone) was peeling off. For me it was a bad sign (if the back of the phone was already peeling off, what else will break? It just seemed like shotty work). I went back for a refund as the phone did not seem to be in good condition. I was told that there would be a restocking fee... fine. Then they told me they were doing me a "favor" by accepting my return, and that within the 3 hours that I was gone they sold my trade-in device. Note that there was no signage in the store, or on my receipt stating that there wasn't a refund policy. So because of how "complicated" the transaction was I was only able to be refunded for the actual money that was paid (I completely lost my trade-in; I said that he had no problem assigning a cash value for it earlier in the transaction. I was basically told that there was not enough margin for him to refund me the agreed upon trade-in value? ). I would not recommend doing business here. read more

My work phone (iPhone 8) had been failing to charge, even after trying different charging cords (you know ... those things that only seem to last a month?). Then, on Saturday, it refused to turn on, even though I knew it had at least a 10 percent charge. I needed it fixed quickly, since I was on-call the next day. I chose to take it here because they are open until 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and they are close to work. I dropped the phone off around noontime, and the gentleman (who I believe was the owner) assured me it would be fixed that day, and that he would call me when it was ready. So, I went and did some errands while I waited for a callback. Around 4 p.m., I hadn't heard anything, so I called them, and was told the phone was ready. I arrived to a fully-charged, functional phone! As he had suspected, the problem had turned out to be a faulty charging port, and faulty battery, which were both replaced for a total of $125. I don't know how that compares to other companies, but that price seemed fair and reasonable to me; besides, I was very happy to have a working phone within the same day. The business, which is conveniently located on Post Road, and has plenty of parking, had a waiting area, but it is closed due to Covid regulations. Displays of merchandise and accessories appeared well organized. I gave four stars, instead of five, for two reasons: First, communication could have been better (they did not call to let me know my phone was ready). Also, I brought the phone in with a protective case on it, but, I was handed a naked phone when I went to pick it up. Fortunately, I realized it before I drove away, so I went back inside to get my case, which the owner was able to find, thankfully. Overall, though, I was happy, especially with the speed of the service, and told my office manager, who seemed impressed and will likely refer employees there for future phone repairs. read more

Terrible, terrible place to buy refurbished phones from! My SIM card was apparently put into an iPhone (that she was attempting to sell me) that wasn't my carrier. She said it would be $15 more to "unlock it" (whatever that meant?). Then was told her computer crashed, and she couldn't fix it. I was charged nothing, but walked away with an iPhone that now couldn't even make a phone call, or connect to internet. After a hellish night without GPS...I went to Verizon the next day. Turns out they sell older iPhones (that aren't on display) at their stores. Whatever she did to the phone got it instantly flagged as stolen...totally locking out my account. When I told the people at Verizon that she put my SIM into a refurbished phone, they asked "Was it Verizon?" I said I didn't know...but assumed SHE WOULD! They instantly knew what happened! Had to get a new phone #. Ended up spending $275 at Verizon for a brand new, older iPhone. Same iPhone, but used, at Pro Wireless was $190 + $15 (unlocking fee?) + tax. And that would have been IF they knew what they were doing, and hadn't put the SIM in a iPhone from a different carrier! I called and talked to her the next day...she informed me it was impossible that she further broke my phone...and to "try turning it off, and turning it back on" to fix it. Wonderful troubleshooting! Wish I'd thought of that Realized she wasn't going to take any responsibility...so I thanked her and ended the call pleasantly. There's always Yelp! They are always very pleasant. Are great at fixing broken iPhone screens (from my experience). But DO NOT go there for anything more than that! My experience proves them unfit! read more

Want to know where NOT to do business?? PRO WIRELESS, Post Rd Warwick. Short story long.. I needed a new screen on my work phone. I guess it's him and his wife who run the business. Nicest folks over the phone 100%, that's why I put up with their sh*t for so long, but don't let voices fool you. I was told to make a $35 deposit on a $110 total charge, they'd order the screen, and it'd be there in 3-5 days, then I can just stop in and the phone will be ready in about an hour. Lets review my timeline. Sep 22nd I call and make the deposit (3-5 day delivery). Sep 30th (8 days later), still no word or update from them so I call there. I'm told it's held up in CT because of Corona 'stuff'. I'm like oh ok, sh*t happens, even though I deal with UPS and FedEx almost daily and I know they're blowing smoke up my butt. Oct 3rd (12 days later) I call only to be told it's not in CT anymore, it's in MA so it should be any day now. Oct 6th (15 days after my deposit for a 3-5 day delivery) Screens there, that's the only time they've called since receiving my deposit. I go in the same night for a 1 hour wait to get the screen put in. Oct 6th I walk in at 350p and give him my phone, 5pm rolls past, 530 comes and goes.. I told the guy I'd be in my car out front. God forbid he step out and say something, anything to me so I know what's going on.. Here comes 545... 6.. 606pm I finally go in to see what's going on, you know, since they close at 6p. He says 'they sent me a defective screen, your phone doesn't work at all now'! Am I pissed?? Yeah I'm pissed, its my work phone. 14 days waiting for the first screen, zero communication from them. I sit 2.5 hours for a one hour job with zero updates... Well zero updates from day one actually. So what now? He hands me a 'loaner' phone and says, I'm not sure if this will work with your network, you'll have to call Sprint and find out, (really, you're the PHONE GUY, I've been on the hook with you for 2 weeks and you give me a phone that may or may not work)???.. then he says 'I rushed' a new screen, it should be here in 3 days, which would be Friday Oct 9th, (18 days from my deposit now). So I go home, turn on the loaner phone and its in CHINESE!! I say 'eff it' to myself and just transfer service to one of my old phones. Chinese? Really? Oct 10th, I call them again, still nothing, it hasn't been delivered. October 14th (23 days after my deposit) I call and say just refund my deposit, I'm coming to get my phone. Now, they're usually open until 6, only now they're closing at 4.. You know, the corona. I can't get there before 4. So she says you can come in Saturday Oct 17th to pick it up..UNfixed! I said fine. She asks, if we get the screen before you can come in do you want us to fix it? I said fine, I mean, wth can I lose at this point? Oct 16th I get a call the phone is done and fixed. (25 days after my deposit). So we started this journey September 22nd, and it ends today, Saturday, Oct 17th. I go in to pick up my phone. Now, I'm never the person to insist on a discount or a free service or what have you, I'd never ask for that, I prefer to wait and see on how the business handles these situations, but I knew what the outcome was going to be already. I say to Michel before we go in, 'I bet I get charged full price'. Sooooo we go in.. He doesn't acknowledge that anything was done wrong or he's sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. He just asks if I have the loaner phone, upon which, Michel says I don't know what she was supposed to do with a phone that's in chinese. His response: 'make Chinese phone calls'. Really?? This is how you treat your customers? He proceeds to charge me full price and tries to defend his actions! If offered even 5% off at least I could say he tried. Instead he's literally arguing that this hasn't been going on a full month! I pay the bill, and sign my signature with a big FU, literally. Ok buddy, its been 5 or so days short of a full month so you're totally in the clear!! They must think people are idiots and will buy their story of fedex not delivering because of Corona, on a rushed order none the less. They're liars! Great job ProWireless!! Super awesome place! I had just busted ax piece in my jack hole on my apple 6+, I began to panic like it wasn't going to come out without sending it into my cell provider. I then remember I worked across the street from Pro Wireless maybe they could help me! I drove over nervous like this was going to either -"a. Be expensive or b. They could do nothing for me and it had to be sent out. I walked in, the owner greeted me and was super sweet, 'no problem he said I can fix it just leave it for an 1hr I'll fix it right up.' He was sure to explain its a delicate process and he like to take his time. That made me feel at ease. He was right he scooped it right out no problem, no damage to my phone and too boot it was plan c. Only $25. If I had sent it out it would have taken 2weeks at least and I wouldn't had, had a phone to use! HThis was one of the best experiences I have had when I needed help with my phone. I have been back a couple of times since the initial repair for other things. Rory Sr and Jr are definitely craftsmen. They are friendly and fast. They know what they are doing. The products that they have are quality. The prices are very reasonable. I tried to get a repair done by the carrier because I have insurance. There repair cost me less than the excessive deductable not to be that it was done in about an hour instead of within days. I carry their business cards to give to friends, I recommend them that highly. Hopefully you will never need to get a phone repaired, but if you do, it would be worth your while to even go out of your way to have them do the work. I have to find a negative review of this establishment highly questionable. read more

Took it for a screen repair but Now my iPhone has many issues!! I would not recommend this place! Good if you have to "just pay a bill". If you're going to buy accessories: BEWARE. I bought a Charger for my mom who just wasn't happy with it. She said it made her phone feel warm, so my brother ended up getting her an actual Samsung brand charger and it was fine. I don't think this one was authentically Samsung even though it had the logo on it. Either way, the receipt does not say accessories were un-returnable. The man told me he couldn't return that for me or sell it to someone else because it had already been open. No offense, how was I going to try the device if I hadn't opened it? And is it really the customers problem for you not being able to sell their returned item to someone else. Pro wireless either you need to change the return policy on your receipt, OR you need to work with your customer to make their experience with you a pleasant one. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Ok.. I'm in the type of family where a family plan at a major cell phone company just doesn't fit in the budget.. pay as you go it is. With that comes the issue of phones and having to buy whatever phone you have upfront like many other people out there. The problem is when they break you are SCREWED until you can afford to put up the cash for a new one. Anyway, about a year ago my daughter broke her phone so badly the screen wouldn't display.. took it to pro wireless and they fixed it in a sufficient amount of time and it's still working perfectly. Fast forward to today.. I have been in multiple times with different issues and have had them all fixed. I waited to post this review until I had an experience like I did today to truly get a feel for them. Over a month ago (which is past the point of warranty) the man here fixed my phones vibration issue.. I felt like I paid a lot for the issue but with fast service in a hurry I was ok with it. This weekend the problem happened again and I was like oh no.. I went in today and he fixed it again free of charge no questions. It's not everyday you can find a place to help you out with these types of issues. I highly recommend them if your in a situation like me. :) read more

My brother and I both got our phones fixed his froze and Mine went completely black after repairs. they were both fine except for cracked screens prior to the repair. While the service is quick and sort of friendly, I'm on my fourth iPhone 6 screen from them. They have lasted anywhere from three weeks to one day before becoming unresponsive. Granted, they are replacing them for no cost, but this is still a huge hassle. And since they have a strict "NO REFUNDS" policy, I have no choice but to keep returning regularly for them to replace it. read more

If I could I would leave zero stars. Terrible experience! I had my screen replaced at the end of May and less than 10 days later it has cracking and webbing. The receipt claims, "All screens have a 30 Day Warranty". When my husband called the store to see what they could do they told him only the LCD screens have a warranty. They said the only thing they would do for us was give us $10 off of another $100 replacement. They are delusional if they think we are going to pay them an additional $90 plus dollars after paying them $107 for their first "fix". read more

I gave 1 star because he was pleasant. If not for that it would have been 0. The repair is amateurish at best. The last repair I had done they nicked the bezel. I mentioned this and yet he destroyed my bezel. There was glue all over my phone. It took an hour more than stated. Thinking of disputing the charge on my credit card. It was that bad. I am updating as the screen already began to separate from the phone and now I have pink lines across the text due to the poor contact. Update number 2. None of what the owner claims in his reply is true. There were indeed dings of the bezel as I stated and his technician absolutely trashed it. The statement that i was trying to rush the process is a total lie. I simply returned at the time stated and when he told me it would be longer I sat and waited. Never did we discuss anything else and never did I push him to rush anything. I will be uploading photos of the repair and you can be the judge. Once I posted my review the shop suddenly had 3 brand new users with a positive reviews of this shop as their first review. Yelp to their credit removed the bogus reviews. Now that I see the owners reply I know why this place is so bad. Rather than stepping up he blames the customer. Also of note is that there was only one person in the shop at the time. So I take it this was the owner who attempted to repair my phone. Never ever was there a conversation about replacing my bezel that they completely destroyed, at any price. I keep the phone in a case so those issues are not a big deal I just mentioned them to warn others who may care. The only complaint I made was about the excess glue and gunk all over the phone. He tried to scrape that off with his fingernail. If he did the repair why the need to review this with anyone? His reply is an ill thought out attempt to blame the the customer. Replaced my iPhone screen on September 27, brought it back yesterday (11/7) and they stated that the screen they installed was a defective LCD screen, but because it was beyond 30 days they wouldn't stand behind it. All 3 new reviews have one review and this is it and all 3 within a 48 hour period. At least fake review a few other businesses before you play that way. Why be so obvious? The replacement screens they use for the iPhone 5 are garbage!!!! I could have bought a new iPhone 6 with the amount of times I've had to go back for a new screen in the last 3 months. Literally the slightest hard touch and the screen will crack. At least the original one from Apple withstood some punishment for a good year before it started to crack, I can't even make it 2 weeks with these screens before having to go back for a new one. I gotta give it to ya though that's a pretty nice business model. Sell junk screens so the customers have to come back over and over again. I was told a price before hand and when I picked up my phone..5 DAYS LATER..when it was promised 1day...he tacked on $25 more!!!!
