I had to print out a 5 page form and received personable help from Alex who was working nearby. If it wasn't for Alex I would've been on Xanax or Zoloft that same afternoon! Went into Staples to get a sheet laminated. The woman waited on me right away. There were no other customers around. When paying for it she asked me for my phone number. I prefer my privacy and demurred. She said their policy required a phone number. After an "exchange" I made up a phone number. I didn't look at the receipt until later. (My fault.) It had the $2.49 charge for the lamination; no problem there. But it also had a 75 cent "Express Guarantee" charge. She did not mention this charge at any time during our transaction. I called the store. They said it is their policy (there's that word again) to charge extra if they do something right away. Otherwise, the woman said, they could take up to six hours to laminate my sheet and I could come back later to pick it up. Needless to say I'll go elsewhere. read more

I'm reading a lot of bogus, unfair reviews of this store so I wanted to counter that with my experience. The store is clean, organized, and well stocked. The managers are friendly and professional. Staff will always be a mixed bag at a place like this but I've never had a bad experience. Once, I couldn't find a chair on sale, and they price matched their online so I could get something nice. Another time I bought something and the price came up wrong. They fixed it for me, no problem, and put the coupon back through. This place is the worst staples on the planet. First off color copies are .42 cents online u do 100 it drops below .37 cents Over here color copies are .99 and u have to use the self service unless u want to wait 2 days. The management here sucks, they have one guy in copy and print that is forced to do 50+ orders all by himself and is scared for retribution if he doesn't complete meaningless time consuming tasks while the manager lady who I won't mention simply because I don't want her to get fired because she absolutely has the worst job in the world, if she got fired it would actually help her, which I don't want to do..she complained about how she can't hire anyone to work At staples ( I'd say it's her attitude) to lesson the burden on the store. I took my iPhone 6 here to have the battery replaced because it was pretty cheap. After the repair, my phone no longer powered on. I was told that I had liquid damage and that they weren't able to fix the phone. I knew I didn't have liquid damage and that something else must have happened. I took it to the phone repair store in the same shopping center and they opened my phone, installed a new battery, and it worked just fine. They also told me they saw no sign of liquid damage. Staples didn't charge me for the repair, which is why I'm giving them 2 stars, but they did have me leave the store thinking I needed a new phone when really they just needed to install a non-defective battery. Good thing I didn't buy a new phone! read more

The store manager, Ryan I think that's his name, working at the Wayne PA location on the morning of 10/26/2021 was very dismissive when I requested assistance regarding the return of a defective chair that I purchased from Staples. Generally, Staples provides excellent customer service in my previous experiences. I believe this was just a matter of the store manager not liking me for some reason. I say this because he absolutely refused to tell me his name when I asked, how micro aggressively he was towards me, how dismissive he was with me, but when he serviced the person after me he was exceptionally pleasant to them. I rarely experience dismissive behavior so I am hesitant to think that he was treating me in this manner because of the color of my skin. I am an African American male and I noticed that he treated his white customers very differently. That was my experience. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and he does not treat all African American men or anyone else the way he treated me. read more

1 hour store pickup after online order was terrible. Could not fill order of pencils which had been promised. Even worse, cheated out of box of tissues. Supposedly was packed as per order sheet but, when I got home and went through all the school supplies I had ordered, discovered that it was missing. Either someone was very sloppy or deliberately dishonest. Staples does not provide a list of the prices paid for each of the items so it is hard to tell what you were charged for unless you add everything up individually yourself. They claim that you are charged only for what you receive but they make it hard to tally your online purchase. Never am I using them again. read more

So I packed up the hard drive and took it to Staples where I bought it and used for service once before. They moaned and groaned about how old and slow it was and said it was shot and I needed a new one right away. After taking it home to "think about it" I decided to try Best Buy's geek squad. Arrived at 3:30 and three people were in the print copy center. I requested three photos to be printed. My printer at home was not working. This should take no more than 5 minutes and I was in a rush. I come here all of the time for business. I was told I had to wait an hour for three pictures to be printed. No lines, no busy time. Very poor customer service. Will purposely go elsewhere in the future. No more business at Staples. Here I come Best Buy. read more

Tech Dept has some of the worst customer service I have seen. Special ordered an IPAD Air II to be delivered to store for pick up. Paid up front. Got email it had shipped and would be ready for pickup Tuesday after 4pm. Went in at 8pm. They are looking under counters, in back room, everywhere for the box. Nothing. The pull my order and say that it has not shipped, order says "Processing". I explain that (1) when I ordered / paid for it on Saturday was told it would be in on Monday. (2) Got an EMAIL from Staples saying it shipped and would be in Tuesday after 4pm. The two "Supervisors" say "Yeah - not sure what to tell you. It is not here." I checked again today, still not there. They are NOT apologetic, they have NOT offered to check into the order and to call me with an update. There response was "It is a staples.com order" - even though I ordered IN the store with a STORE associate. Also - they say I am not able to cancel the order. Cannot cancel it until it comes in. Ok I should have learned my lesson but this location is convenient to my office. I bought a laptop early in the morning on Cyber Monday. Was told it would be in before 4:00PM the next day and i would get an email. So i got an email it was in transit but never one saying it was there. i called at 4:30 PM and was on hold for 15 minutes until someone got back to me and said they needed the order number and then told me ups had been there earlier and it wasnt in yet. The person on the phone told me she was the manager and her name was Beth. I said i had been told it would be in before 4:00, which is when i needed to leave work. She just said i shouldnt have been told that. No apologies. Said she would call back when it came in. Shocker, she never did. i got an email at 7:30 when i was already home and couldnt get it. Went in to store at about 8:30 pm with my daughter and her friends to buy supplies for a project. I started looking at computers and found one I wanted to looked at to purchase. Do you think there was one person around to hep me? They were there when we came in. By the time I found some one he looked up and said,in response to my question can you help me, "we're closed." But it's not 9:00 and I want to buy a computer and I couldn't find someone to help me. "We're closed. Come back tomorrow or go on line," he told me. REALLY? You'll let $1000+ walk out the door? When I said something to the cashier, she totally ignored me and kept ringing up the items we had to get. I guess they were still open for that. I finally said, did you hear what I said? She said "yes, I saw you come in. You should have come asked for help before we closed." You saw me looking at computers and never offered to get me help? Employees are always in that department to help. And now I'm walking out the door unhappy? The gentleman who had to unlock door to let us out also saw us there and wouldn't come help. He said come back tomorrow if I wanted to buy something. I thought wow, I really must have kept them late.
