Is there anything different about this Staples? I think just one thing. It's located in Manoa Shopping Center and has both front and back entrances. The back entrance has a giant parking lot that is extremely convenient. There is nothing I hate more than fighting a parking hassle when I want something quick. I called and made sure he understood how we needed our presentation bound to customer specifications given what happened the first time I arrived. When I looked inside the box, I was disappointed to find out that the technician didn't know the difference between comb binding and the traditional book binding he had used. Also, the colors didn't match the backing, and they were all black in white when we paid for color. I continue to give this store business- Copy Center is solid,they have great merchandise, they are conveniently located and there always seems to be a sale but I often leave the store aggravated for a variety of reasons. Having 10 plus employees on shift and only having 1 full-time register is a horrible way of managing staff and meeting customer expectations. Couple this with employees who treat helping customers like a bizarre game of "tag" and take off in another direction when approached is almost comical. Closing off a great trip to Staples is when they realize there is a line and they open additional registers but the "Chip Reader" is not working properly. I went to get paper and a copybook- 2 minutes of shopping, 20 minutes in line is appalling. Oh well, I'll continue to shop there and hope, but I think I have a better chance of a 3 legged horse winning the Derby. read more

From the lack of enthusiam and genuine concern for my company business to the morale of the staff it was a depressing experience to walk in this store. Corporate Staples ~ there is a REAL disconnect in how you are Teaching "Client Service and how "I" as a paying customer feel it in your stores" WOW ~ start over..... I normally get my business needs printed at Staples in the city, I went to this location was surprised by no employee greeting me. This includes the manager who was having a great time joking around with some employees, when someone finally came over to the copy center, I was told it would be 5 hours before I could have three color copies printed. I am sure it was a problem that the employee had no power to change, but good for me as a consumer there are plenty of other options to go help with my printing needs. Also tip to the girl at the copy center, if you have to tell a customer "no" you should suggest other places in the area that CAN help me. you might lose a couple bucks that day, but I would be back in the future.... read more

Came here for the first time with a short list of "hard to find" back to school supplies, after vising two other large chains. I wish I had come here first. The store was organized, well stocked, pricing was competitive and clearly displayed. I was out in 15 minutes with everything I needed, and that included signing up for their membership program at checkout. I came early in the day - not sure how it looks at 5PM. This is the worst Staples I have ever been to and I have been using staples stores from printing and office supplies in various parts of PA for a decade. They are massively understaffed as a result of what must be terrible management. There are always massive lines. They never have print orders done on time or correctly. The staff is rude and spiteful because there aren't enough people to handle the work load. They consistently over charge me and mis-price items in the store. Take the extra 10 minutes and just drive over to the Staples in Springfield like I will from now on. read more

The store itself is great....copy center...not sure much. Even when the printers are not going and no one else is in the store they will tell you how they are busy and can't do your order for a few hours. If you get the right person they will take care of you but most of the time they are rude and not very helpful. read more

Normally I have no problem at Staples/Havertown, Pa. but this time I needed some help in using the D.I.Y. copying area. Nothing to tell you where to go, no instructions to even help you get started. The copy machine I was at was in recycling mode, then it cleared for copying, and when I pressed a copy button, the machine started in recycling mode. Only one person available to help and he was tied up with two other customers. He said he would help me after helping other customers...I could not go to any other machine as they were occupied. Rather than have me stand there and wait he should have called another employee to help me (example the manager). Nothing . I left frustrated and said I would go to another copying center . He said he was sorry , but he did nothing to rectify the situation. Customer Service Rule # 1: NEVER EVER ALLOW A CUSTOMER TO LEAVE TO BUY FROM YOUR COMPETITION. Apparently, a lost sale was not important enough for him to try and rescue. I wonder just how many other sales he has lost with that kind of customer service attitude. read more

Pretty typical for a Staples except for two things: the double front and back entrance and the lack of computers in the copy center. I tend to frequent Staples to print and scan my grad school homework and I would much rather pay the money to do it myself on a rented computer, but this Staples does not give you that option. The staff is helpful enough that they will print from your flash drive when needed, but again, I would rather handle it on my own. read more

Clearly everyone in the area received their school shopping lists today and the lines stretched from one end of the store to the other. Here I was, in need of one thing. Every sales person was calm and helpful, power walking to help the next person with a question. The manager went above and beyond to help me. He was personable and clearly managed his store well. I had 2 unused black inks that I needed to exchange, no receipt, but Steve spent some time to look at my past history,( REWARDS MEMBER), and got the info. Then Beth was able to figure out where I stood for the exchange. It was a return , then a purchase. I was grateful for the crew of Steve, Beth, and Sue.
