I had a pleasant experience today at Staples. This is the first time I've been on a Staples and they were overly helpful. I was greeted and offered help. The employee walked me directly to what I was looking for. She even suggested I activate my coupons on the app. At checkout the two male employees were helpful as well. They all equally encouraged me to activate my coupons. I really appreciated this because in the past I missed several ink recycle credits due to miscommunication from staff. This is one of the top notch Staples in this distric. The store is organized, displayed weekly ad and specials, clearance selections and staff are very helpful. Wanted to give special kudos for the following individuals: Leanora works at the printing and shipping department. She is patient and friendly while assist multiple guests ! I was looking for a better fit box to ship a important package, she gave me a great suggestion so ensure my package will be secure in the right size of box. Christopher is helping at the St. Cloud store but this is not his primary store. I've been here many times, and each time it's pretty empty, but have never had a bad experience. The staff are usually pretty helpful and have good personalities. Staples is like a candy shop to me. One can never have too many Post-it Notes, markers, pens, and other random office supplies. Today I went there to drop off a tablet for recycling. I did this not too long ago with a laptop that became a victim of a morning coffee fauz pas, so I was familiar with some of the process. I went to the register, because no one was at the help desk where this was done before, and the cashier wasn't sure what to do. He asked someone (who appeared to be a manager). The manager (that's what I will call him) confirmed that they accepted tablets for recycling, and instructed the cashier to take it and put it in the back, telling him that there was no paperwork needed. I informed the manager that the last time I was there, there was a procedure and paperwork I had to sign. After all, there was (at one time) personal data on the machine, and I took it there because I believed they would properly clean the hard drive and dispose of it safely. I told him where the paperwork was retrieved from on my last visit and sure enough, he came back with the form, handed it to me to sign and walked away. I signed my portion and gave it back to the cashier, noting that there were instructions on the form indicating Staples' responsibility. Now I also know it should be scanned and logged, and probably other accountability actions that I am not aware of, but I am highly skeptical that this happened. I say all this to caution anyone who takes their electronic items, that had personal data on it, to be cautious when taking it to this Staples (or anywhere else) for recycling if you are concerned about information being extracted from the device's hard drive, exposing you to fraud. read more

So we buy a warranty for my son's IPHONE headphones every time the warranty runs out and we have to buy new. In the past this store was terrific with the warranty. We always buy the 2 year warranty. He broke his headphone so we went to get a replacement. We had to wait for a store manager to come to the front desk. This was a wait. Finally he shows up and tells us that we need to go thorough an online warranty. This is now their policy. He was rude and the original sales person at the desk was clueless. Poor customer service and poor base knowledge of your products. This is the second lime we have had to try to a warranty with Staples. The first was a $300 chair that failed within the warranty period. For that we only received a percentage of the money back even though we asked for just a replacement. That was also a mess and took hours out of our day to get it resolved.. We are done with this company. I'm writing this to let others know that their warranty is a sham. Don't buy it and don't waste your money. God, Walmart and BestBuy are a better option. Definitely, don't shop at a company that cannot back up their warranty. If I could get them a 0 rating I would. Staples has become the laundry mat of print shops. All you can do is go in and use one of their self-service machines and hope that they are actually working, which is rare. They only have one person behind the counter and if you ask for help they will typically just tell you "we can't print anything back here, use a self-service machine". I suppose the abundance of giant printers behind the service desk are some weird decor and not actual functioning printers. There is only one self-service computer that takes half an hour to perform the simplest task on. Save yourself A LOT of time and drive the extra few miles to the closest Office Depot. At Office Depot, you can walk right up to the service counter and any person working back there will go above and beyond to help you. If you ask them to print something, they won't lie and say that they can't. I've been to this same Staples location at least 20 times since I've lived here and it's the same experience every time. Seriously, Staples is garbage. GO TO OFFICE DEPOT, they deserve your money because they actually DO SOMETHING. Also, if you don't speak Spanish, prepare to not understand a single word anyone is saying, even the employees. OFFICE DEPOT - GO THERE INSTEAD! read more

It's the only place in town that has a big variety of office supply products but this place just keeps getting worse and worse. They don't have anything in stock. Bad customer service. There is nothing special about this store. There really is nothing wrong, just not special. The location is good. It's a very clean organized store. Not a lot of helpful employees around if you have a question. The items tend to be highly overpriced here as in most staples. I usual only go here when I have some good type of coupon otherwise its not worth it. It is a good convenience if you need to have something copied or faxed otherwise you can have everything here in Walmart or even target for a lower price. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. We went into a local Staples had to order a chair in the store to be shipped because there were none in stock. Got out of store and staples.com sent an email saying chair order was cancelled and refunded because chair was not in stock. But we checked online and there were chairs in stock at other locations and we called customer service. They refused to ship to our local store or to us directly. The agent on the phone kept trying to send us to a staples over an hour away. For a desk chair. This is a very odd policy for a boxed item to NOT be shipped. You offer to deliver to businesses every day. But you refuse to ship items that's in stock? Very frustrating experience. read more

As soon as she was free she helped me and was so efficient I was done sooner than I expected, I decided to have more work done. At this time Medellin had to go to lunch so Dariel help me. Constantly changing store hours and now opening at 9am make this place pretty useless. No running getting stuff you might need last minute before school. No more running in before the office opens to grab a few things. First it was 7am, then 8am, now 9am. Also the staff is really useless.
