I wish had read some of these 1 star reviews before going to this store! As it happens, something has to be fundamentally systemically wrong to lead to this kind of problem. I had a very similar problem with the cashier, Abdi (or Abidil). He was just plain annoying, and simply to let me check out couple of items I had to struggle through various cash registers only because this person was simply mean, or he does not have any professionalism at all. I tried to call to complain with the store manager. I was put on hold for 10 monutes, and had to go through 10 options. The manager was not able to appreciate the problem. She just tried to treat everything business as usual!. I saw only only one other customer at 4pm, Friday. May be the owners of the store are too rich to worry about anything at all. read more

Friendly staff at printing department. Always fixes any color differences at no cost. I am a regular customer here

Guys, this is the most unprofessional staples I have ever been to. I went for getting the photo print, and waited for 2 hours to confirm that the pictures are of good quality and everything is fine. the associate confirms all is good, and confirms the order. Next Morning, I get a call from staples, that we do not have these paper, and also the image is not scalable stating" we can go ahead, but image will not be good". After an argument, they never even felt its something wrong from there side, rather, just kept on saying we can move ahead but image quality is low. I have been a loyal customer of staples, but i think, walgreens, costco, office depot have surpassed it. read more

I had to print out a booklet/presentation pamphlet that I made for my precalculus class, and like the terrible student I am, I procrastinated way too much on this project, and it was due the next day (200 points!), but I finished it in time and I placed the order, and I had some questions about time and whatnot, so I called them, and unlike some other experiences mentioned here, my experience was great! The representative, Joe M. (i think; he looked like Santa) was very kind and answered all my questions thoroughly, and since I was on a time crunch, he offered to have it done in just one hour, and he came through! I went to the store and he instantly knew what I had come in for, and the whole process was quick and easy! Thanks Joe (?)! You were extremely helpful and everything went well! read more

Actually no stars for this store. This store should be named something other than staples because they don't consider staples coupons to be used in the store and they don't price match. Derek is the person who was at the billing and didn't offer the staples printer and told me some bull shit rules regarding this. Anyways I'm going to talk yo the staples head office regarding this. read more

I had the absolute worst experience here a few days ago. I came in to drop off some documents to be printed and laminated. I stepped up to the copy and print center and waited because no one was there. When I went to ask the woman at the register, she just replied "oh, no one is there?" and just stared until someone showed up instead of paging. When the document was loaded and I told her how many I wanted, I was told it would take 10 minutes to laminate. I came back 25 minutes later and was told that they were not ready. But before they told me they were not ready I was left there waiting while they talked to each other. She then asked me if I wanted to have them cut, to which I replied yes and so she told me I had to wait another 10-15 minutes. I highly doubt it takes 40 minutes to laminate and cut sheets. I was extremely disappointed. I needed the cards regardless and came back the next day to pick them up. The same thing happened when no one was at the copy and print station, instead of the person at the register paging for someone to help me, they just told me she'd come back. Ended up waiting for a 30 second transaction. I spent about 30 dollars for 18 half sheets of paper to be laminated. The price wouldn't bother me so much if they weren't so poorly done. Each one of the sheets was wrinkled underneath the lamination and the cut was so uneven. It's like they didn't even try. I won't come back here. I'd rather just take it to Office Depot down the street. read more

Stopped by soon after they moved to this location. It's in a great location IMHO. Plenty of parking and the place doesn't get that busy so easy to shop. At least this particular day, workers are very friendly and helpful which isn't typical at staples in general I think. read more

Nice place! Fully stacked office supplies and well presented. The staff was kind too. A little empty because Costco is a few blocks down the street, and they attract bulk office supply buyers. If you don't want the crowded Costco lines and parking, this place is the next best option. Also a Starbucks across the parking area. read more

Austin and the staff were extremely helpful. The store is clean, organized, and they had many items on clearance. Staples is a true one stop shop. With that being said, the manager on duty, Frank was above and beyond expectation. He was friendly, polite, and answered all of our questions. No questions asked from now on. This is the place where we pick up our supplies. read more

The most incompetent group of people I have ever encountered. I actually gave a f*#% enough to write this review. We had an online order which was paid already, when we went to pick it up we were told we wouldn't get charged in store and got DOUBLE CHARGED for a printer. When we came back to reverse it, the lady in the easytech section called corporate and was on the phone for another 30 minutes. It's a pretty simple task. You correct the mistake so that the customer is happy, instead she spent 30 minutes trying to cover her mistake and justify it. Learn how to do your f#*%ing job, I'll never be back. read more

Great associates and found what I was looking for. There was an item that I had difficulty finding but the receptionist was knowledgeable and pointed me to the exact aisle so I can find what I'm looking for. read more

I used to love Staples. I shopped there all the time. If you shop there, I strongly urge you to not give them your email address, especially if you have a rewards card. Give them a throwaway email address. I have been trying for months now to get them to stop emailing me. I was getting at least one, and sometimes multiple, emails a day. Clicking unsubscribe was a joke: they would stop for a day or two then start in again. My "account manager" keeps putting me back on his list, in spite of my unsubscribing. I have tried calling corporate, and they could not help me. Finally, I went to my account and removed all of my credit cards and put a nonsense email address in there. I caused the account manager's emails to bounce back to him, and for about a month, there was blessed silence. Until today. Now I'm getting emails from Staples Promotional Products. There are lots of other office supply places out there, who honor one's wishes in regards to email. I've been on a competitor's email list for more than 15 years now, and never received any spam from them. Staples needs to spend the money to hire a good email specialist, and stop spamming customers. Staples Promotional Products sent me a link to a survey. I filled it out in great detail, all about my email experience. I doubt it will make any difference, but at least I feel I've done what I could. read more

For some reason the stuff in this staples seems to be priced a little higher than other ones I've been to. The customer service was pretty awful, too. Just not that great, overall. read more

I went to Staples # 0719 on 10/25/2016 and I will never give staples my business again. they have a printer recycle/trade in program. I bought a new printer and I had an old printer i needed to recycle, when I bought my printer I wasn't told about the recycle /trade in program. When I called the store to find out about it the associate on the phone said yes we have this kind of program and bring your printer in so you can trade it in and get the credit on the purchase I made on the new printer. I did this and the Operations manager and the associate gave me the worst customer service and I wasn't able to get the credit the associate on the phone told me I got get. The credit was supposed to be $30.00 if you made a purchase of $199.99. the Operations manager said my printer purchase was too low and the associate near her said:" Yea that printer she bought is too cheap for her to get the credit". Not only was I given mis-information on the phone with the associate I spoke to but I was humiliated on my what my budget allowed me to get in a printer. The Operations manager then said:" I will give y ou $10.00 credit and a $20.00 gift card, so I said is that the best you can do & she said yes. So she returns my original purchase then re-does the transaction. I said, "ok am I getting my $20.00 gift card? and she says :" oh no I gave you the $30.00 off"! by this time I was livid and very upset. not only does these staples employees not know what the right or left hand is doing but they are not trained properly to give a customer the same information. I have called the corporate office and they will take action but DO NOT GIVE STAPLES YOUR BUSINESS!!! read more

This is for the Copy Print department. First of all the customer service is terrible. The girl that works there really goes out of her way to make the process difficult. When i asked for the copies to be made on a particular color paper - I got a flat out "NO Can't do that - we don't carry that paper" I responded with a polite - "yes you do" to which she ROLLED HER EYES and and Firmly said "NO!" - OK - being a gentleman, I asked calmly - What if I bought a ream of pastel Ivory paper and brought it to you - could you copy it then? ...another eye roll accompanied by what sounded like hot air escaping an over inflated tire and a "TSK" "Yeah - I guess" - so I walked over to the STAPLES PAPER AISLE and picked up the STAPLES BRAND PASTEL IVORY Paper and brought to her. Her response: "Where did you find that!?" I responded blankly, "In the paper aisle" - OK she said, it will take a few days to complete your job... :- I really? the store is empty and I only need 20 copies. "Well, I will see" 3Hours later, I get a call - "Your Order is Ready - if you don't pick it up by closing it will be thrown away" ...Really? Now I'm a nice guy but this was it. I needed the copies. So I went over and paid the $20 for 20 copies (Yes Really). Took the receipt and filled out the survey on line. I didn't hold back - I just wrote what happened and gave them a low rating. Now, fast forward three weeks - I'm in the same situation and I need copies again. (I know it was a dumb idea) but I was thinking maybe some redemption occurred. NOPE IT WAS WORSE. Apparently a manager showed the girl the survey I wrote - and she knew it was me who wrote it. This time, she was not only RUDE but also VINDICTIVE. She laid into me the moment I walked in. She said she saw my survey and that I have my nerve to come in. Really? - I stayed professional and gave her my flash drive to get the file. She opened up the file and wiped out half of the wording on the document. REALLY. She made a sample copy when I noticed the wording was removed. I asked "What happened" She said - "Your flash drive must be corrupted" Well, F**K STAPLES! I AM DONE! I HOPE THIS PLACE GETS SHUT DOWN OR JUST LOSES BUSINESS. Lucky for me, I discovered an Office Depot just down the street on Coleman and Taylor. I can submit my documents online and they are ready before I can get in the car. I also found out I get a discount because I work for a school. Anyone going to this STAPLES be WARNED. read more

This Staples is the best in San Jose! It's clean, big and the staff were friendly. The Store manager Elannah Smith has gone above and beyond to serve her customers. I pre-ordered an IPhone 6 plus through Verizon over a month ago, unfortunately the phones were shipped to the wrong address. I quickly stop by the store this morning and notify Elannah about the issue, she quickly resolved it and even go her way to pick up the phones at the FedEx location in Sunnyvale, WOW! I can't thank her enough as well as Samir and Johnny for their efforts to help out a customer like myself. Highly recommended!! read more

Very expensive! Forget matching internet price, they cannot come close to other retailers in the southbay.

I hate it when I reach a place after checking timings and find the place already closed. I'll improve the ratings after they update their timings on yelp. read more

I agree with Mia -- the person behind the mail center/copy center has the worst attitude and customer service. Avoid at all costs!!!!

All things stationary, school and office supplies. They're always nice and helpful. It is rare that they don't have an office item that I'm looking for. They're open until 9 most nights. read more

I went in to find office supplies for my home office I'm setting up. I had a cart full of merchandise and I probably looked like I needed help because every employee that walked past me offered assistance. Everything was very neat and clean and very friendly staff. I was looking for a specific set of file folders which were out of stock the the manager Alana was very nice to spend about 15 minutes trying to find the right folders to order for me. I will definitely be coming back to this location. read more

My go to Staples . It's located right across from the earthquake's stadium. The location is remote and quiet so you can always get basically everything you need when there's a sale available . Yes, that's including Black Friday deals ! Scored some great items yesterday and best part is that we didn't have to get up early or fight the crowd for it . read more

Went to this store for shredding and to purchase toner. Asked cashier if they did shredding after waiting until she was done checking out a highly complex single item. transaction She said that "Copy and Print" did the shredding I walked over to that area and the woman said she would be right with me, she also was doing a highly complex single transaction. Another gentleman was doing a highly complex mailing transaction. When he was done, he conveniently avoided eye contact and chatted with still another employee. After 15 to 20 minutes I left. Obviously the six employees I saw must have been taking care of on-line complex transactions because they sure weren't available to help me or the other three customers I saw. I left and went to Office Depot 1/2 mile down the road, walked in handed them my two pounds of shredding and purchased $75 worth of toner. I even got a laugh or two out of their staff. I won't go back to Staples.. read more
