This store is huge! Each isle is super long and stocked to the brim. The staff...ehh, non-existent (except for the people working at the registers). But, the staff members were pleasant!! The isles in the store are wide, but there is stuff in the isles, cutting down on the spaciousness. Either the store should be bigger, or the amount of "Stuff/Clutter" needs to be addressed. If you tryna print a lot of papers for example a training manual stay far away from this place I had to wait at the store for over three hours trying to print all the pages and the printer can only print so many at once so your charged a sales tax on each transaction I had a total of 4 transactions I ended up paying 44 dollars just in tax I'm honestly mad its not an easier process to bulk print I they amount of time I spent in that store they I should've clocked in smh. FTP I wouldn't wish waiting in a staples store for over 3 hours on my worst enemy. read more

Excellent experience really great folks who know their stuff Nice customers too because of covid distance I accidentally hit in front of another customer it was a black and white situate being the moron and she was so nice about accepting my apology I did not realize I cut in line in front of her. Horrible services in copy center machines are always broken the computer is broken This is unacceptable . this is one of the worst places the store copy center employees are rude and disrespectful they blame the customers when their machines are always broken yesterday I came in to do a fast job in self service 1 he prior to closing during my use the machine broke down and I had to be switched to another machine. Out of no where the copy center employee associate tried to get smart with me telling me I was inconveniencing them however I was in the store prior to the closing time it was their machines fault . He started screaming at me to demean me in front of the employees not know I am an active Yelp reviewer !! the week before I gave them A copy center order I wanted it duplicates and binding services I asked them to scan my original to me that way I could check for accuracy when the service was completed they lost my information the work never was done when I came to pick up. I stopped going to Staples for printing years ago, there was always something wrong with the printers. So yesterday 7/02/2024 it was after 8pm and Fedex (my go to for printing) was close; Staples was still open and less than a block away. I go to Staples, put $40 on a cash card, I spent $25 printing, and I purchased manila envelopes that were $5.99. I had 2 more items to print so I went back to Staples this morning, used the same printer i used the day before, I swipe the card it had $8.20. Needless to say something went wrong the printer did not print, the printer says try again with $8.20 showing as my balance. I decided to checkout and use another printer, I swipe my cash card my balance is now ZERO I did not print anything. I spoke to an associate who asked did you checkout I said yes! She brought it to the other Associates attention he said it takes a little time for the money to show back up on your card. So I go to FEDEX less than a block away I have a print card there as well, I print what I needed, I go back to Staples still no money on my card. I called the store to speak to a manager who says there is no record of an $8.20 transaction or anything like that. This is the closest Staples to my mother's new apartment and I took her there two days ago. As soon as we entered the store, a very friendly young woman asked if there was anything specific we were looking for and then she took us right to those items. There was a confusing problem re: one of them and she resolved the situation very satisfactorily & efficiently, then she walked with us back to the cash registers and rang up the items. I was very impressed, so I complimented the manager afterwards and he was a nice young guy. (Update on 1/3/16): I went to the store yesterday and a very pleasant young woman helped me find the item I needed. (Update on 11/25/16): A *very* friendly & helpful young man helped me find an item today (he had to climb on a tall ladder and search for it), and I discovered he was the manager (his name is Tarodd - and not only was he very helpful, but he was extremely patient & pleasant while speaking to a customer on the phone). Really helpful customer service. The cashier, Lorie, walked me to find a product I was in search of. Another cashier stepped in to help with other customers. Lorie called for assistance to reach for the item which was on a high shelf. Another Associate assisted her gladly. I was pleased that I found the products I was looking for and it was on sale. She also recommended another item which she thought I could use. Overall my experience was very positive. You could tell there is a lot of team work going on in this store. Thanks guys! read more

I really prefer to buy things in person at the store rather than shop on the internet, but this Staples reminds me why so many people turn to the internet for their office supplies. Finding an associate? Forget about it. Getting rung up by an associate? They're on the phone. Need help at the copy center? That'll be 45 minutes in line, without even being acknowledged. They don't actually seem to give a d*mn that customers have needs and might need help with things in a timely manner. Going here really makes me mad. Also, printing out black and white pages costs 49 cents a page! At the library across the street, it's 15 cents a page. What a joke. read more

Ok, I have been in this Pikesville Staples twice and will not go back. The cashier was not nice at all. No conversation. I said, "hi, how are you today?" She would not look at me or interact. Until she asked me if I would like to purchase this $5 kit for a child in school. However, the person in front of me she interacted with. Neither one of us purchased the $5 kit that she was required to try to push on the customers. Did not make any remarks to the gentlemen in front of me. However, with me she decided to mumble under her breath, "mhm, you people ." That is so rude. You have to judge others? She doesn't know me or my circumstances. I struggle just like everyone else. I donate to my church. I can't donate everywhere. So shame on you passing judgement on others! I help where I can. Did not appreciate her rude remark. And for sure I will go elsewhere. read more

This store is extremely under staffed. I came into the store at about 10:30am. There was a moderate flow of customers at that time. I needed to make a banner and Andre quickly set me up. As I was creating my banner the store got extremely crowded the supervisor Melissa left the copy center to handle the armored person there for pick. Whatever she was doing took and very long time and the line continued to grow at the copy center. I had a question but couldn't ask because poor Andre was trying to do 50 things at one time. I finally asked him to call the manger because although he was doing his best he needed help. He calls for the supervisor and out comes Melissa. I told her "I realize that you all are doing the best you can, but Andre can't handle this alone". Some hiring needs to be done. Although she was polite to me, while there she was very short with Andre. From my observation, he was not only doing his job, he did it with grace and style. He was professional and did his job with a smile. Melissa can take a lesson from him. Andre is the only reason I would come back to this Staples. read more

This place is a fiasco! For the life of me, I couldn't get someone to help get the printer I came in to purchase. Honestly, after wandering up and down the printer and ink aisles for over 15 mins, I finally grabbed an employee as he was walking towards the registers and he told me they must not have it in stock if I couldn't reach it myself. Whaaaaaat?! I could blatantly see the printer on the shelf above the display. So basically if I was an 8 ft. tall freak of nature then they had the printer in stock? But since I'm a mere 5'4" person, it wasn't available? I finally approached a manager and asked for his help. He attempted to yell at the above mentioned employee to assist me, but he ignored him. I actually told the manager that I tried to get him to help me prior and was unsuccessful, but that didn't seem to phase him either. I pointed out the printer I wanted; there were two stacked on top of each other. The manager proceeded to reach above his head and grab the handle of the bottom box - mind you it was approximately 20" x 24" x 14", around 20 lbs. - and pull both boxes of printers off this shelf. Obviously, the top box came crashing down just slightly missing the manager's head, while his arm, still clinging to the bottom box, swung forward and almost knocked it into the shelving. I proceeded to put the supposedly unharmed bottom box into my cart to finally check out. I'm sorry to whomever buys the other printer that took the tumble. Thankfully my printer was fully intact when I opened it and seems to be functioning properly. I will never again go to this store - serves me right for trying to save a few bucks! read more

It's staples. They're a bit overpriced (especially when it comes to printing, at that price I could of just bought a printer). But they made up for it by having a good attentive staff that rushed to help as soon as they saw me. It's not something you get from a big name store and its a small thing I appreciated. read more

I have been a customer here for 7 years and was happy until recently. I now I echo the other reviewers. The staff is young and untrained, there is poor customer service, and the manager was downright rude. I got an estimate for copying for 20 cents a page for duplicating transparencies. I called the store the next day and the price was over $2 per page. There is an office supply store around the corner. I paid 70 cents a page, but Pikesville Office Supply was competent, polite and efficient. My recommendation. Skip Stapes. read more

Yes, I appreciate it that they offer same day pickup but they shouldn't let you wait so long to give what you ordered when you called prior to picking it up to make sure that it is already done. I couldnt believe they charge $1 for taping a box and envelop. I have always gone to this store to deliver items and never been charged. Recently I went to deliver a box and I was told that it was a $ 1 dollar to tape it. I was confused. I was told the policy was effective 2 years ago and that the 10 times I came to deliver boxes,the staff were not doing thier job.Any amount of tape would be charged $1. I'm a teacher and I live nearby, so I find myself here, on occasion. Everytime I do, I recall how badly run it is. Sometimes an annoying "Beep .... Beep .... Beep" sounds the entire time you are shopping. Employees are nowhere to be found, except up front (no customer service), maybe the beeping keeps them away. When I buy anything, I am very friendly and go out of my way to be polite. No one here makes eye contact. I gave it a two stars because I like what I buy there and have gotten some decent deals, but I always feel like I just left Zombieland, afterward. read more

Where do I begin 4 people in front of my son and I and two little old lady's behind us . We were there to get some printing paper( 1 item). Well the one line they had open was moving as slow as molasses so one of the other four employees that were basically standing around decided to open up a lane they took the next customer ahead of us and I let the two little old lady's go head of me to the open line . Well it was finally down to our turn but the customer in front of us needed to see manager for some kind of over ride . We asked cashier if this was going to take awhile he said yes so we proceeded to the newly opened up line and he told us to go back over there and wait he was to busy and he had to get back to whatever he was doing and he had no time to ring us out . Just last week, I was in this store and needed to fax a document for my business. There was a very flamboyant young man working at the copy center, who I THOUGHT was supposed to help customers who needed assistance with the fax machine. The machine wasn't cooperating, so instead of assisting me, he continued to tell me what I needed to do...until I had to ask him to stop what he was doing and to come and assist me. Then he had an attitude. I asked for his manager, and expressed my disappointment with the service I received. As a business owner, I understand how important customer service is. Apparently, this employee does not. I will NOT be spending my hard earned money in Staples anymore! read more

Do not order posters to be printed there. I ordered five posters online (my own design), when I picked them up they all had an ugly black border which was not part of the original design. When I complained the - very impolite and unfriendly - supervisor of the print department informed me that Staples oversize printers cannot print posters without this border. Whether this is true or not (I had the impression she just wanted to get rid of me )....spare yourself the hassle and use another printing service. I myself returned the posters and will not frequent staples again with my business. read more
