I'm in here at least once, sometimes twice a day due to being a vintage reseller. There is very…read morefew "offical" Fed Ex locations and this location is convenient to both work and home which is a blessing. The staff is always courteous. Despite being in there every day they still always ask me if I want a receipt, which of course I always do. Even after over a year of seeing these people daily I still don't know any of them. The parking is tight due to being wedged between a Starbucks with a drive thru and a Five Guys in an already undersized lot. Pulling out going left is problematic too. I do wish the parking was better or that Starbucks would move since they are the source of the problem. There should not be a drive thru in such a small configuration. I do wish that Fed Ex staff were more helpful when I've had problems or lost packages, especially since this is an official Fed Ex store, but they refer you to the toll free number which leads you to an operator in India and alot of frustration. In terms of who damages/loses my packages less often of the two evils being UPS and Fed Ex, Fed Ex does do a better job at actually getting it there unscaved, but they're not perfect and when there is a problem it's impossible to resolve.

It wasn't the end of the world since we're meticulous about backing up our data. Nonetheless, I needed to have the hard drive replaced. I was going to take it to the Apple Store, but the reviews I read about their charges encouraged me to find another option. Unfortunately, in the Lancaster, PA area there aren't a whole lot of options for Mac computer repairs. Then, I remembered that one of my sons took his iMac to have a hard drive replaced at Pham Computers and was entirely satisfied. So, I contacted them and they said yes they would replace the hard drive in my MacBook even though they're primarily a PC shop. So, I stopped by on Wednesday to drop of the laptop and spoke to Zach who was very helpful. Much to my pleasant surprise, I was contacted later that day and they told me that the drive was replaced and as (gratis) bonus they would image the data on my old hard drive and copy it to the new drive potentially saving me some time in doing a TimeMachine restore. I received a call the following day to say they were successful in saving all of my data and that the computer was ready for pick up -- WOW, A 24 HR. TURNAROUND!! My wife went there to pay later that day and was astonished at how inexpensive the repair was. I was too. What a great tip to take it there. Thanks Pham Computers!

The device was more broken then when I left it with him. A broken trigger and all of the screws missing from the back plate and the heat sink removed from the cpu. I've been in for repairs including swapping over my info to a new iPhone, which they did quickly and at a reasonable rate. Most recently I went in for some longer charging cables for my new Android. The post office delivered a package in a cardboard envelope and just left it lie on the porch, (the porch is not covered) in the pouring rain. Never rang the doorbell (I was home all day) so that tells me the carrier just came part way up the steps to the porch and just threw the package which landed in front of the door. I never knew it was there till I went out to check on the mail. In speaking with the postmaster at Ephrata Post Office he seemed to want to blame the company I ordered my package from questioning why they did not ship it in a plastic envelope bag. I agree with him on that matter however that does not excuse the carrier for just letting a package sit in the open in pouring rain. What kind of a person would do that and think that it is OK. The package was dripping wet when I picked it up and the paper back book inside was ruined.

But after I missed an alleged call from this company, Fix It Chix says that it discarded my machine. I have to wonder if there really was a call to me, why further steps to reach me were not taken, and whether my salvageable parts like hard drive, memory, and screen were not sold instead or perhaps the entire PC. I wish that I had been warned before going to Fix It Chix.
