I am writing about the Ephrata Post Office in Ephrata, PA. This past Saturday the 18th of November…read moreit was raining hard all day. The post office delivered a package in a cardboard envelope and just left it lie on the porch, (the porch is not covered) in the pouring rain. Never rang the doorbell (I was home all day) so that tells me the carrier just came part way up the steps to the porch and just threw the package which landed in front of the door. I never knew it was there till I went out to check on the mail. In speaking with the postmaster at Ephrata Post Office he seemed to want to blame the company I ordered my package from questioning why they did not ship it in a plastic envelope bag. I agree with him on that matter however that does not excuse the carrier for just letting a package sit in the open in pouring rain. What kind of a person would do that and think that it is OK. The package was dripping wet when I picked it up and the paper back book inside was ruined.

This easy-to-access Post Office is conveniently located in Greenfield's Executive Park. There's an…read moreeasy drive-thru if you're just dropping off mail, and parking around the side of the building if you need to go inside for anything. Typically, I'll go inside for stamps or mailing supplies, or if I need to ship something media mail. I rarely encounter a line, and when I do, it seems to move at a decent pace. The staff here aren't always the friendliest, but they're professional and will get you what you need. I don't use the PO boxes, but if you're in the market, there are a lot at this particular location.

It's easy to mistake this Post Office for just another little house along Lampeter Road, but if…read moreyou're just looking to drop off some media mail or something to be shipped, it's a quick in-and-out operation. The staff has always been friendly, and I've only ever experienced one line (three people -- nothing like lines at other locations). In fact, the most annoying part of this little place is that it's minimally staffed. Like, by one person. So it closes at lunch everyday its open, making it extremely inconvenient if you run your mail errands around noon. There are plenty of spaces in the back for this small location. And if you didn't see it and drove past, like I sometimes do, you can always park at the Turkey Hill and walk down the sidewalk. Like you did it purpose. Ya know, for the exercise.

They have wonderful customer service (truly, everyone here is very kind) and very fair prices. I won't risk trying a different place for alterations because because every time I've gone here, the work was wonderful, exactly what I asked for, and done in a timely manner. I've had linen pants, work pants, jeans, etc. all altered here and they've all been perfect. I wouldn't recommend going during the holiday season as they are typically swamped with alternations.

I have gone to Kim's for over 20 years and had a good relationship with them. They recently…read morealtered my daughter's party dress. It just needed to be shortened in the hem and straps. Somehow their tailor had a mixed message and completely deconstructed then reconstructed the dress in an odd way. The tag is now under the arm instead of the back and there is a seam running up the front. The dress no longer fits and is now worthless. It was brand new and still had the price tag. I took it back to show them and Mrs. Kim became combative insisting that the dress was like that when I brought it to them. I have photos before of the dress and it clearly was different. There is no question that it was mistakenly altered at their shop. She refused to listen and accused me of upsetting them. After 20 plus years of frequenting their shop, I'm shocked at her reaction. I've now also seen similar negative reviews. Extremely disappointing. I am now out $250 for the ruined dress and alterations which they refused to reimburse. I will never go there again.
