Okay here we go! The reason I'm giving this store 2 stars is the manager Daniella. Absolutely the worst! I bought a brand new ipad 9.7 6th gen online and realized I picked it to be shipped. Since our mailman likes to throw packages, I quickly called staples customer service and changed the order to store pickup. Since they close before i get off work, I asked if my husband could pick it up for me and was told yes, as long as he had his ID. So my husband went to pick it up and daniella the manager refused to give it to him. She told him ( that she didn't believe that he was picking it up for me) even though he had pictures of the online receipt, his ID that has our last name on it and the address on his ID that matches the address i put in online. She also told him that i never spoke to anyone because I didn't talk to her. I'm sorry I called corporate customer service instead of her since I placed the order through the main website, not the store. So she doesn't believe my husband was there to pick a $300 dollar ipad that I bought, he's just a random guy trying to steal an ipad and he's a lair. So i talk to her on the phone and explained everything in detail and she was all yes ma'am no ma'am to me. Then she told me i had to call customer service back and get my husbands name put on to the order?knowing full well they were closed. She also made my husband wait for over an hour while she tried to get ahold of someone on the phone to help her with this whole thing. All the while the other employees were talking to my husband and asking him what was going on and they all took a look at my husbands ID the receipt and told him he had all the correct information and documentation and she should of given him my ipad. She even told him he didn't look like his ID. she said it is store policy. Even though corporate said no problem. He even had the security guard on his side telling her to give him the ipad. This is most absurd experience I've ever had with a store manager in my life. I would like to say thank you to the employees and security guard that helped my husband. read more

I find everyone there very helpful, especially Abe who helped me in UPS shipping- which is always way more convenient and quicker than a UPS store. Dec 15% off on shipping is a real deal. Today shipped an overnight letter for $20 less than it would have been at Fed-x. That's because they also let me use a $5 coupon in addition to the discount. This place is terrible, they had a laptop on sale today and after I spent an hour comparing them I decided to buy one. No one came to help me during this hour, and when I asked to buy a laptop from the front they were all out, even though it says they have two in the store on the website. The guy (who already tried to upsell me twice with Office and antivirus software before he even looked for the computer) told me that Santa Monica had two of them. I said that it says the same thing here and you don't have any. He asked if I wanted him to call them so I said sure, then he came back with the number of the store written down for me to deal with. I said, "I can't go to Santa Monica tonight, and the sale ends today, can you somehow have them hold it for me at the lower price?" He said, "Oh no, don't worry about it, it will be the same." Of course now on the website it's already $150 more expensive, even though it looks like I could have just ordered it from there for the sale price if I did it an hour ago. Had the most amazing customer service from Danielle on 10/26. Typically in staples or any office supply store I have always had mediocre service. However my interaction with Danielle was far from my usual experience, she went above and beyond. She genuinely wanted to help me and cared about my situation. I wasn't aware I couldn't print a picture on sturdy paper at the customer accessible computer and without even asking she offered to return my money for the time I had spent on the computer trying to accomplish my task. While she was returning my money, she was acknowledging everyone passing by and had such a genuine care for all the customers in the store. So refreshing!! She is such a sweetheart and she sets such a great example for everyone in the customer service industry. Danielle's personality and kind heart didn't go unnoticed:) read more

Customer service is terrible. I was looking for ONE item, and couldn't find it, so I walked up to two employees who were talking to each other. I said excuse me, and one employee turned away from me and started talking to a third employee, and the other ignored me completely, twice! I was placed on hold for no less than twenty-five minutes before finally speaking with someone and immediately being hung up on. I called back and was placed on hold for another fifteen minutes before finally giving up and ending the call myself. read more

Appalling customer service. I've been on hold 15 minutes as we speak, just to get an update on color copies that were supposed to be ready Friday (we gave up after two 15 minute holds then). I guess I will just have to drive there Monday with fingers crossed. I wondered why I could never get any awards points and finally found out--they had misspelled--no joke--EVERY single entry on my form--first, last, phone number, etc. Could they fix in store? Went in to find a USB cable. Couldn't locate the exact one so went the tech counter for help. The guy was on the phone but did pause long enough to let me ask. He gave me direction to the where the type I needed supposedly was. I told him I'd looked there but didn't see. Couldn't find it so I left because the guy couldn't get off the phone or call for someone else to help me. There were no other visible employees around for me to ask. Their screen repair program is a scam. They are unauthentic screens and they don't stand by their warrantee. Management is rude and unhelpful. My screen broke (was not dropped, just not working). The employee offered twenty percent or to price match. The manager then came over and offered me the percent! They literally have the worst management I've ever seen here. No one knows anything. Ok normally not happy about going here, but, closest to work so...I deal with it. The peeps in the copy centre are always nice and helpful. Usually only one or two there and always so busy, but always helpful. Today I called to ask a few questions, Paul in the copy centre answered. He was very nice, helpful, didn't act like he hated his job. I called back later, asked for a manager, mentioned how great Paul was. He thanked me, appreciates the feedback and said he will note it in Paul's file and that will be recognized at review time. Because of Paul and the rest of the copy centre peeps, I now give this store a 3. (previous -1). read more

There is something magical about the employees at this staples location. They have the amazing ability to come up and ask you if you need help like every 30 seconds when you don't want them. She and her supervisor had no idea about this simple product (which they had) and then had to get a manager. Walked in to check out screen protectors. All stock was down to 1 or 2 products for only iPhone and Samsung. When I asked the clerk about different products I got a lethargic "whatever's there is what we have?" As I went to exit, my purchases from Amoeba set off the security alarm. The security guard spent a whole 3 minutes checking my 3 objects before concluding that there was nothing else in my bag. Definitely place that makes you feel like rolling your eyes as you exit. read more

Well, they carry everything you need so thats a plus. Good sale tables at the entrance. The general staff isnt all that into customer service but they help you when theyre asked. One staff member in particular (Willy, hes in the copy/print center) is AMAZING! He is this adoreable little older man who moves about as slow as a turtle (which can be fustrating at times) but is extremely nice and helpful. Hes nice to talk to and gives you good advice about your projects. You usually have to plan at least a half hour when working with him for a simple copy/print job (and longer if you have a more complicated task) but he is so nice and helpful that it almost dsnt bother me that I ALWAYS have to wait so long. So even though the store and staff is just 3 star, ill keep coming back, for Willy haha read more

The employees here lie out their damn teeth! I went in today to use my Rewards coupons that i earned to by some Charmin but coincidentally needed to use the restroom. I know it's tough for businesses in Hollywood and there's a red sign on the doors that "restrooms for customers only" but hey, i am an actual customer. After being greeted walking in I did a couple of laps around the store but could find no visuals signs of the restrooms. I looked at a couple of things and even found the item that i was eventually intending to buy but first approached another employee at the ink desk and asked him where the restrooms were but he seemed to be in mid conversation on his ear piece and was pointing at me while looking across the store at the same woman who greeted me at the door. He even said "security" as she walked over and the first thing she said to him was "the restrooms are out of service." I just looked at him with a shit eating grin and said "okay." I went and grabbed the Charmin then came back and got in line. The same employee then came over and offered to ring me up so i went with him to his register and used my coupons to pay all the while holding back the urge to give him a piece of my mind. Kind of laughing now but what an irritating experience. read more

The printing department at this location is AMAZING because of their employee Danielle. She is so nice, helpful, and quick when it comes to printing what you need. Today I tried to print my documents in this store. When there was a problem with the printer, the manager could not help me and I turned to the chief manager of the store (Asian appearance). I explained to him my problem and said that the printer does not work. In response, I heard only OK. I asked him to at least just try to help me! But he refused! His speech was very rude to me !!! I was offended! He did not even try to help and answered me very rudely! I ask the superiors of this store to pay attention to the behavior of your employee and to take measures of punishment! Because, because of such employees as he - you will lose customers!!!! read more

thank you so much Danielle who made a pressure situation easy-breezy! tax time had me very anxiety ridden - filing is hard enough. needed to print out from my USB and make copies. Danielle helped me the entire process took less than 15 minutes! needed some office supplies too and shout-out to the long-haired salesperson who literally walked me to every item i needed and then swiftly recovered a label i had torn off as i used the item while in the store. i offered to retrieve from the garbage but he was insistent and did that too. also every single item i needed was in stock with a variety of options to choose from. thank you Staples on sunset! read more

Waited an hour to be attended to. They asked me to email them my print. Which I did and it didnt take long but then continued to serve other people. Didn't know how to open the files or size the picture. It was a long and difficult time and I ended up having to come behind the counter to tell them what to do. read more

Spent 16 minutes on hold waiting for someone to pick up. When they finally did, I asked if they had a self-service paper cutter I could use. They said they did. I then drove 20 minutes to this location to use the paper cutter, only to find out that it was broken. In addition, I decided I would try to get three pages of color printing done, but they told me that it would take two hours to do. For three pages. Epic fail. I have to give a shout out and my thanks to Daniel and Jose at the Easy Tech Dept. at this Staples location. I had the misfortune of a failing hard drive (mind you, this Toshiba Satellite laptop, bought new at this store less than a year a half ago---shame on you, Toshiba!!) and it crippled the entire machine. Of course, I was devastated to hear the news, particularly at the additional cost of installing a new hard drive and God knows what else! Daniel and Jose took care of my particular computer and its issues over a two week period which (I was told) was one of the longest repair jobs they ever had! Daniel took the time and patiently assisted me in making sure the original data was transferred properly after I found items on the new drive that weren't quite right. Then Microsoft Outlook had major problems being re-installed and, after days of attempting every logical possibility, including a complete wipe of the machine, they discovered it was a Windows 10 issue! (of course!)....but Daniel stuck with it and figured out a solution to this problem! Finally, after what seemed like weeks without a computer, Jose called to say it was running properly and ready to be picked up!! I guess it's like having a new machine! I had to extend my public thanks to both Daniel and Jose for their persistence and skill in getting my computer through this ordeal!! They are valuable members of the Easy Tech Dept. at this Staples store in Hollywood! read more

Horrible Experience ...Takara is one of the bosses of copy center and is the worst worker I have ever seen. She literally messed up design of business card I had made, changed it and blamed me when it did not come out. Stay away from this place. Not only are they unprofessional, but they will blame you for their mistakes and make you come back three times for own stupid business card. Call you once? Keep dreaming. The hate the jobs they have and they do everything in their power to make your life miserable also. Even the manager of the store came and took zero accountability. It very clearly states on the back of the Staples receipt, as well as on a sign hanging proudly above the customer service desk, that office supplies may be returned at any time (with a receipt). So I was a little surprised when the high schooler behind the desk said she'd have to check with her manager to see if it would be ok for me to return my purchase, since it was after the 30 day return period. When the young girl returned she didn't say anything, but simply proceeded to type in the register. Pointing to the sign directly above her head I said, "It says right there that office supplies can be returned anytime." To which she replied, "Well, our policy is within 30 days." "Then the sign shouldn't be there," I replied. "I'm just doing my job," she retorted curtly. "The manager is going to let you return it." At this point, that wasn't the point. The point had now become false advertising. "OK, but how would anyone know that your policy is different from the sign?" I asked. "Because we let them know that the policy is within 30 days," she non-answered. OK. Noted. I'll be shopping at Office Max from now on. Hopefully they don't lie there. read more
