Very bad service. The manager named Steven was very rude to the staff. I would never work here as long as the general manager Steven worked here. There is a professional way to speak to the staff and that would be like a human being and not slaves. The problem with management is they think they.are rulers and don't have to work. Sadly Steven is wrong. Clearly the ratings at this location are bad and now I know why. Corporate has failed this community because the managers negativity reflects corporate. Perhaps corporate should start making unannounced visits or set up secret shoppers. read more

Ok normally not happy about going here, but, closest to work so...I deal with it. The peeps in the copy centre are always nice and helpful. Usually only one or two there and always so busy, but always helpful. Today I called to ask a few questions, Paul in the copy centre answered. He was very nice, helpful, didn't act like he hated his job. I called back later, asked for a manager, mentioned how great Paul was. He thanked me, appreciates the feedback and said he will note it in Paul's file and that will be recognized at review time. There is something magical about the employees at this staples location. They have the amazing ability to come up and ask you if you need help like every 30 seconds when you don't want them. She and her supervisor had no idea about this simple product (which they had) and then had to get a manager. Walked in to check out screen protectors. All stock was down to 1 or 2 products for only iPhone and Samsung. When I asked the clerk about different products I got a lethargic "whatever's there is what we have?" As I went to exit, my purchases from Amoeba set off the security alarm. The security guard spent a whole 3 minutes checking my 3 objects before concluding that there was nothing else in my bag. The printing department at this location is AMAZING because of their employee Danielle. She is so nice, helpful, and quick when it comes to printing what you need. Today I tried to print my documents in this store. When there was a problem with the printer, the manager could not help me and I turned to the chief manager of the store (Asian appearance). I explained to him my problem and said that the printer does not work. In response, I heard only OK. I asked him to at least just try to help me! But he refused! His speech was very rude to me !!! I was offended! He did not even try to help and answered me very rudely! I ask the superiors of this store to pay attention to the behavior of your employee and to take measures of punishment! Because, because of such employees as he - you will lose customers!!!! read more

Well, they carry everything you need so thats a plus. Good sale tables at the entrance. The general staff isnt all that into customer service but they help you when theyre asked. One staff member in particular (Willy, hes in the copy/print center) is AMAZING! He is this adoreable little older man who moves about as slow as a turtle (which can be fustrating at times) but is extremely nice and helpful. Hes nice to talk to and gives you good advice about your projects. You usually have to plan at least a half hour when working with him for a simple copy/print job (and longer if you have a more complicated task) but he is so nice and helpful that it almost dsnt bother me that I ALWAYS have to wait so long. So even though the store and staff is just 3 star, ill keep coming back, for Willy haha read more

The employees here lie out their damn teeth! I went in today to use my Rewards coupons that i earned to by some Charmin but coincidentally needed to use the restroom. I know it's tough for businesses in Hollywood and there's a red sign on the doors that "restrooms for customers only" but hey, i am an actual customer. After being greeted walking in I did a couple of laps around the store but could find no visuals signs of the restrooms. I looked at a couple of things and even found the item that i was eventually intending to buy but first approached another employee at the ink desk and asked him where the restrooms were but he seemed to be in mid conversation on his ear piece and was pointing at me while looking across the store at the same woman who greeted me at the door. He even said "security" as she walked over and the first thing she said to him was "the restrooms are out of service." I just looked at him with a shit eating grin and said "okay." I went and grabbed the Charmin then came back and got in line. The same employee then came over and offered to ring me up so i went with him to his register and used my coupons to pay all the while holding back the urge to give him a piece of my mind. Kind of laughing now but what an irritating experience. read more

Spent 16 minutes on hold waiting for someone to pick up. When they finally did, I asked if they had a self-service paper cutter I could use. They said they did. I then drove 20 minutes to this location to use the paper cutter, only to find out that it was broken. In addition, I decided I would try to get three pages of color printing done, but they told me that it would take two hours to do. For three pages. Epic fail. thank you so much Danielle who made a pressure situation easy-breezy! tax time had me very anxiety ridden - filing is hard enough. needed to print out from my USB and make copies. Danielle helped me the entire process took less than 15 minutes! needed some office supplies too and shout-out to the long-haired salesperson who literally walked me to every item i needed and then swiftly recovered a label i had torn off as i used the item while in the store. i offered to retrieve from the garbage but he was insistent and did that too. also every single item i needed was in stock with a variety of options to choose from. thank you Staples on sunset! read more

Horrible Experience ...Takara is one of the bosses of copy center and is the worst worker I have ever seen. She literally messed up design of business card I had made, changed it and blamed me when it did not come out. Stay away from this place. Not only are they unprofessional, but they will blame you for their mistakes and make you come back three times for own stupid business card. Call you once? Keep dreaming. The hate the jobs they have and they do everything in their power to make your life miserable also. Even the manager of the store came and took zero accountability. Waited an hour to be attended to. They asked me to email them my print. Which I did and it didnt take long but then continued to serve other people. Didn't know how to open the files or size the picture. It was a long and difficult time and I ended up having to come behind the counter to tell them what to do. read more

I have to give a shout out and my thanks to Daniel and Jose at the Easy Tech Dept. at this Staples location. I had the misfortune of a failing hard drive (mind you, this Toshiba Satellite laptop, bought new at this store less than a year a half ago---shame on you, Toshiba!!) and it crippled the entire machine. Of course, I was devastated to hear the news, particularly at the additional cost of installing a new hard drive and God knows what else! Daniel and Jose took care of my particular computer and its issues over a two week period which (I was told) was one of the longest repair jobs they ever had! Daniel took the time and patiently assisted me in making sure the original data was transferred properly after I found items on the new drive that weren't quite right. Then Microsoft Outlook had major problems being re-installed and, after days of attempting every logical possibility, including a complete wipe of the machine, they discovered it was a Windows 10 issue! (of course!)....but Daniel stuck with it and figured out a solution to this problem! Finally, after what seemed like weeks without a computer, Jose called to say it was running properly and ready to be picked up!! I guess it's like having a new machine! I had to extend my public thanks to both Daniel and Jose for their persistence and skill in getting my computer through this ordeal!! They are valuable members of the Easy Tech Dept. at this Staples store in Hollywood! read more

It very clearly states on the back of the Staples receipt, as well as on a sign hanging proudly above the customer service desk, that office supplies may be returned at any time (with a receipt). So I was a little surprised when the high schooler behind the desk said she'd have to check with her manager to see if it would be ok for me to return my purchase, since it was after the 30 day return period. When the young girl returned she didn't say anything, but simply proceeded to type in the register. Pointing to the sign directly above her head I said, "It says right there that office supplies can be returned anytime." To which she replied, "Well, our policy is within 30 days." "Then the sign shouldn't be there," I replied. "I'm just doing my job," she retorted curtly. "The manager is going to let you return it." At this point, that wasn't the point. The point had now become false advertising. "OK, but how would anyone know that your policy is different from the sign?" I asked. "Because we let them know that the policy is within 30 days," she non-answered. OK. Noted. I'll be shopping at Office Max from now on. Hopefully they don't lie there. read more
