Worst copy center around! Visiting from Arizona and spent 1.5 hours to make 4 copies. WiFi does not work in the store and one of the two copiers was broken. When we finally logged into another stores WiFi we had to wait for email for each individual copy. I had the same experience in Scottsdale Arizona. Must be just how staples operates. Tried to go here over an hour after they opened (according to their posted hours) but the doors wouldn't open. I stood outside waving at employees and trying to get the door open for a while, but eventually gave up. Stopped in to purchase a cpl items & a new cheap desktop calculator as mine had died. While checking out, Mr Manager asks if I'd like to purchase a warranty/replacement for the calculator. I tell him, NO, its a $20.00 calculator, when it dies or I kill it, I'll just buy another. He's pushing buttons on the register, mumbles something like, I'll just adjust your totals to include it (I think) gives me my total, it seems to be close (I'm thinking in my head, it's close) and I pay. he doesn't hand me my receipt, stuffs it in my bag. So here I am, at home this AM, pull everything out of the bag & guess what? I paid for a warranty that I specifically said I did NOT want. Thief! I USE to LOVE going to this store. I USE to purchase ALL of my office supplies, etc., here. My last experience has now changed my opinion of this location. I dropped off a thumb drive with a cartoon type image of a drawing that I wanted to have enlarged, for a Christmas decoration, for my office cube. The prior weekend, my husband and I went there, and did the exact same thing (of course, with a different drawing). The employee in the print/copy area, was filling in, as I guess, the regular employee was on the phone with another customer, in the main office. Anyway, we patiently waited, no rush, no biggie. Another employee came over and asked if he could help. I explained how last weekend we were in, and the employee used the same thumb drive to enlarge the drawing for me, and then laminated it for me. No problem, the employee said. He took us over to the computer in their office, and we pulled up the thumb drive. He looked at the list, and we identified the three drawings that I wanted to enlarge. The employee wrote them down on a post it note, along with my name and phone number. I thanked him for his time, and said I would be in the next day to pick them up. I just wanted them enlarged to 2' x 3'. He said no problem. This was at 7:00 pm on a Friday night. My husband and I went back at 1:45 pm , the next day, Saturday. I went to the counter there, and the female employee asked how she could help me. I explained what we had done, that I was there looking for the enlarged drawings. She was looking around, and coming up with nothing. I happened to look across the counter, to the other side of the service area, and I saw my thumb drive, along with the yellow post it note. I asked her to check it. She went over, and brought the thumb drive, along with the post it note, over to me. She said she was told not to touch it. She said they could not get into one of the drawings. I asked the question, as to why I was not called and explained the situation. She didn't respond. I took my thumb drive, along with the post it note, and left the store. I will not be back. So, if you need to get something copied / enlarged / laminated, my opinion, is that you go somewhere else. As I was leaving in disgust I passed two employees chatting with each other. As I walked out the door a cashier told me to have a nice day - "whatever," I said. I called the store and asked for some information. I was very well attended. When I arrived at the store, all information were different. It was a disappointment to me. I was first informed of a value that should pay to fix my computer and when I arrived at the store was absolutely superior value. I asked to install the inti-virus that I was buying and they wanted to charge for installation. I asked to install Word and they also wanted to charge. All information that i had recive by phone it was diferent. I asked to clean up all files on my computer and when I got to get the computer they had not been cleaned. Purchased a desk from here. While building it I noticed a part missing. They gave me 2 of something I only needed 1 of and I was missing another part. So I go in to try replacing the missing part. They direct me to the 800 number on the desk manual. Now Im waiting 2 weeks for the replacement part. Sorry guys, but this is terrible customer service and I'll never shop here again. Amazing service over and over while having prints made for a wedding. Great communication and prompt order fulfillment.

I first called the store to ensure they'd be able to print what I was asking for and Desirae was incredibly helpful over the phone and when I arrived my experience only continued to be excellent. I was instantly greeted by a friendly cashier(whom I'd also meet later). Desirae was busy helping another customer so Tom jumped behind the counter and helped print my project giving me samples of different paper options and even printing samples for me to see before taking the plunge. They were able to get my order done quickly and Tom even went to the back of the store to get poster tubes so that my project wouldn't get wet with the snow outside(without me asking). After getting my prints and picking up a few items I was once again impressed with the service at this location when I checked out. The gal(same woman who greeted me upon arrival) at the register was very personable and friendly and I will definitely use this location in the future. Outstanding customer service all around! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! My coworkers and I dropped off some old tech that needed to be recycled. We didn't realize at first that we had a limited number we could drop off, but Pat the manager told us it was fine, and let us do it anyway. We ended up dropping off five cart loads of items that understandably if couldn't leave we would have taken back to our office. But Pat was very kind, accommodating, and understanding allowing us to leave all the items with him! You didn't give me enough stars to choose from! My experience with the Colo. Blvd. Staples this holiday season was just wonderful. I had made a wrong decision on a printer ink product and took it back to the store the next day. It was definitely my "fault" yet the Mgr. Michelle handled it in a professional way that did not make me feel worse than I already felt. I left a very satisfied customer, and will definitely be back. I needed a printer drum, went to Staples website, located said item, it was in stock. Drove to Staples, found the drum. At checkout the price was $30 more than the price I saw online.... online Staples.com. When I asked the cashier about the price she said, "Oh, you want the online price?" Huh? How is that even legal? So if I hadn't said anything I would have been price gouged? No more Staples for me! I can't wait to tell everyone I know too. I recently made a purchase with Staples for a Laptop; unfortunately the computer has not lived up to my expectations. Immediately upon opening the box there was damage to the casing. I promptly returned the computer and was given a second laptop. The second laptop is also defective - this time a little more seriously. I attempted to return the second laptop in hopes of a new one. I went back to the store where I initially made my purchase - Store #1416 located at 870 S Colorado Blvd, Glendale CO 80246. I was told that since my purchase was over 14 days and there was nothing that could be done. The reason that I am warning you all is actually more due to the service I received as a result of my visit. The customer service that I received was more than unprofessional - it was unacceptable. I spoke to a manager - I should point out that I had to ask a second associate for his name as he was not wearing a name tag. Immediately upon my arrival I could see that he was not engaged. I walked up to the counter and after noticing me with a half hearted greeting - he turned around and helped a second associate with no "one moment please" or any other type of recognition that I was even still standing in front of him. Upon his return he looked at me as to ask "how can I help you" but with out actually saying a word. I took it upon my self to explain the situation. He looked at my receipt and said "you purchased this in July" with no further explanation as to why that was relevant. I then stated "yes I did and it was the second one I was bringing back". After looking on the system he confirmed that it was the second return. He then stated that he could not fix the computer as I did not purchase the service plan. As I attempted to state my case - he cut me off and said, with no expression, that I would need to go to Dell and "I did not purchase the plan" and with that last sentence he looked at the next person in line and waived me off. I do not believe that I was being out of line or overly demanding - I still wanted the laptop of course I was hoping to get a replacement but if not, I simply wanted to know my options. The Manager was not only, not willing to offer me any additional options, he was not willing to help me at all. I walked out of the store feeling uneasy and insignificant. To be honest the entire situation was a bit demeaning. I then later came to find out that even though I did not purchase the Staples "service plan" the laptop is still under warranty and for a nominal fee the Easytec Center, located inside the store, can send it to the manufacture for a full diagnostic review. Had I know this at the time that I was in the location I would have chosen this option. (This is not the only missed opportunity that I had at this store - I also was not offered the Staples Rewards Card at the time I made the laptop purchase - so now this large purchase will not benefit me there either. The fact that I was not given the option to send the laptop back to the manufacturer is a direct reflection on the poor customer service I received. It shows that the store does not have a full understanding of its business nor customer service, I would think that is a serious oversight. I will not return to the Staples location. I feel that this situation needed to be brought to light so that other customers do not feel unappreciated, as I did. read more

When I came in they were very helpful in making sure my booklets were printed correctly, and even printed it several different ways while I was there to show me what the final product would look like. I took my computer in for a free diagnostic because it had gotten so slow. I forgot I had done my taxes on that computer, but the TurboTax icon was not on the desktop. They said it only needed a Registry clean, which they did. When I got home, I saw they had accessed TurboTax, which has no password. Now I have the possibility of ID theft to deal with! No other reason (than ID theft) for one of 2 techs (convenient; they both deny doing it) to open it. I wanted 3 yrs of Lifelock, they offered an inferior product and then reported to the BBB that the case was closed! BAD treatment of customers! read more

They never update there sale signs. I don't go to this store very often but every time I do they seem to have a lot of sale signs that expired. It is extremely frustrating to have to constantly read the fine print on a sign. Also there clearance items are 50% the marked price but none (at least the items I looked at) were not even marked. So....I guess the clearance items are all free since 50% of zero is zero. Right! read more

I made two trips to this Staples today. The first trip was unproductive: an item I have purchased there several times at $15.99 was marked $39.99. I asked a clerk if there was an error in pricing. She said no. She made no attempt to research or correct the price. I said I would not pay that doubled price, told her I'd buy it elsewhere, and left. I'd wasted both my time and the cost of gas to have driven there (16 miles roundtrip). The questionable level of "customer service" bothered me so much that when I got home I called the store and asked to speak with the manager, a fellow named Matt Owens. I explained what had occurred. Matt was courteous, apologized, explained they were having stocking/pricing issues and said he would honor the $15.99 price. So I drove back to the store (16 miles roundtrip) whereupon Matt not only honored the $15.99 price he took $10 off. My first trip to Staples gets one star for questionable customer service. Matt gets five stars for excellent customer service. The cashier at checkout was cordial. Still, my second trip there could have been avoided if the clerk had shown interest and made more of an effort. read more

I worked with the printing department twice in the past 3 months and both times a manager had to fix the situation. The first print job was slightly confusing, I needed various counts printed of 6 different files. I left my information and an explanation of what I needed. When I arrived after they said it was done, they had wasted half a ream of heavy paper I provided by printing the wrong amount of only 2 of the files. The manager got a small ear full and I was informed that the employee who took my order had similar mishaps in the past. (not good) I waited a few hours as they fixed it, literally standing over someone's shoulder as they printed the number of copies of each file I needed. The didn't make me pay for it. The second time I just needed 25 copies double sided of a file, cut in half and hole punched. Simple right? I asked when it should be done "I hope by 4 or earlier". No call. I show up the next day and it hadn't even been started. Same manager as the first time got a similar earful about my displeasure along with another employee who must have been on break as he was eating. This munching employee was busy telling me that they have difficulty keeping employees in the print department because it is so hard to deal with people. I work in customer service and have for year, just because there is a short staffing challenge doesn't mean that it is the customer's responsibility to deal with it. While I waited for the problem to be fixed, I happen to over hear a phone conversation with another employee and a print shop customer. They neglected to staff anyone on a Saturday at the print center and thus were running behind and this person's order wasn't going to be completed on time. This order again was free, but the hours I spent correcting these problems wasn't worth it. I spent over 4 hours total fixing problems they could have prevented. The management is great at fixing the problem, but staff isn't great at preventing the problem. read more

I purchase some ink cartridges using the online purchase/store pickup option on 6/23/16. I placed the order at 11:25am, it should've been ready within 1 hour of order. I arrived at approx. 2:45pm and my order was not at the pickup counter. It took about 5 - 8 mins for them to bring the order up to the counter. As I was leaving the store I realized they had giving me the wrong ink cartridges (I ordered the Kodac 10B/10C combo, they gave me 10XL). When I told the Ebony, the clerk at the online order counter, that I received the wrong item, she said, "WELL THAT'S WHAT YOU ORDERED ONLINE". When I pointed out that that WAS NOT what I ordered online, she walked away and told me to "CALM DOWN". After receiving the correct item I told the gentlemen which i believe was the manager, he needs to teach his employees how to talk to customers. EBONY, began saying I was rude and she will not be talked to that way. First off, while I did point out that EBONY was incorrect when she said I ordered something I didn't. I was not rude, just matter of fact. EBONY continued to argue with me and the manager. At that point I did become a bit rude. I told her she was a self entitled little girl who needs to learn how to talk to people. Needless to say, they have lost my business. read more

I came to Staples to purchase/donate school supplies. I do it every year and donate my purchase to a school in a lower income neighborhood. I had an Office Depot/Office Max ad and wanted Staples to match the prices. I told them I was donating everything. Paige, one of the associates in Printing/Copying recognized me and asked I had done this before. I told her I have donated supplies for several years. A few minutes later I talked to Don, the store manager, who invited me to purchase dozens of items from clearance bins for 1 cent each. They were all appropriate for young children. I bought more than 100 items and then purchased items on sale until my total came to approximately $20. This year I had more items than in previous years. Special thank you to Don for his generosity and to Devin who checked out my purchases which were numerous. She never complained about the amount of items and thanked me for helping kids. She made sure everything was bagged correctly. Staples really helped a lot of kids who need it. Many thanks. read more
