I have patronized the Falls Church VA many times over 15 years. I always found what I needed - from printing labels to a printer at a good price - and bonus they took my old printer for recycling. I signed up for my TSA Pre there and it went smoothly and quickly. Today I am going (conveniently riding my bike LOL) to copy some large legal documents and I expect it will be a breeze. read more

Store is clean and well stocked. The positive ends there. Staff are oblivious and apparently can't prioritize work. 6 people in line to drop off packages, the one being attended to has dozens of things so that attendant is busy. The other felt it more appropriate to mess with the paper cutter...then randomly walk around for a few minutes, then come back to the paper cutter. Two people did ask her for help to receive attitude as if they were inconveniencing her. I could see 9 patrons...(all but 3 were in the drop off line) but the 4 visible employees couldn't manage or work together. read more

Good staff at this store. Have gone here for pens and printer cartridges mostly. Their computer prices, are higher than some competitors. On a plus note they have the ink cartridge always in stock. Other stores don't. That means I'll definitely go here first. Am surprised by how high, basic office necessities are. Inflation is the reality, but they will make you say "ouch." Getting in and out of here is easy. That alone is helpful. Really nice employees. This location hires well. read more

Awful experience. Ordered NEXT DAY printing of holiday cards and they still weren't ready three days later. Called twice and was on hold for a half hour each time. Was then told cards would be ready and given pickup time. Arrived after pickup time and order had not been printed. I've now been here for 1.5 hours while the two employees look at my print job and then do other jobs. I seriously have to get the attention of one to get them back on track. No focus, lots of customers, not enough workers and phone ringing continuously with no one answering. Understaffed and not organized. Do NOT order printing here nor try to call this store. read more

For years, I have gone to the Staples in Falls Church and have often been frustrated, often with staff trying to sell me packages I didn't need. Today, I went in and found very efficient staff, Fode, who may be the manager. I went in to return two cartridges associated with a previous printer that now no longer works, to buy another printer. Without the receipt, Fode got into the system and was able to credit me back for the unused cartridges, by reaching out to Staples online. Since printers are crashing so fast, I saw the value of getting a 4 year warranty protection because printers don't get close to 4 years old. Anyway, I was in and out in 30-40 mins with a new printer ordered , two cartridges that work with the new printer and an extended warranty which now makes sense. This was a record. read more

Came here to utilize their print services. But so many things were wrong... 1) Their printers have a wireless card reader, but is not activated. Meaning it could support Apple Pay/Android Pay but doesn't. 2) Their printers don't properly print pdfs with pictures and text overlays. 3) Their junior employees are not properly trained. I asked to get a refund on the messed up prints and two of their employees didn't even know how to issue a refund. I waited 20 min for a manager to do it and took them only a min. 4) One of their employees just straight up had an attitude when I pointed out the issue with their self-service printer. He just immediately said 'we can do it for you but it will cost extra and oh do you need it done today?, that will cost extra with the rush fee.' Um proper customer service would do it you for free since their machine messed up the print, not push more fees. 5) This 'rush fee' basically is a 30% additional cost if you want a printing service done same day after 2pm. They couldn't even do a simple 1 page print job right away when I agreed to this ridiculous rush fee. They said they can only guarantee it be done within 1 hour. Well I didn't come here is wait already for them to just print a piece of paper that would only take a few secs....this policy either needs to be nuked or reconsidered for small print jobs. Their competitor Office Depot doesn't have such a farce. Guess where I'll be heading next. I won't be utilizing their business center ever again and you shouldn't either. Staples was a good stationary store and it should just stay that way. read more

Worse experience than with the printing department at the Staples, specifically Annette. Annette is rude uncaring and needs to be let go. This location as a whole is unfit to print. Never have I ever had a worse experience than with the printing department at the Staples, specifically Annette. I placed an order online on Wednesday. I called in on Thursday and spoke with a very pleasant man who told me my order would be ready midday Friday. On Friday I called to confirm my order would be ready by the time I finished work. I waited on hold for about 10 minutes before a woman picked up and was very rude from the start. She angrily yelled at me and told me she could not understand what my name was what I was asking about my phone number or my order number. She then hung up the phone abruptly. I called back and waited on hold another 10 minutes before she picked back up telling me she found my order but that it would be another three day wait. When I mentioned my Thursday conversation, she interrupted and told me I was wrong and this is a standard turnaround time for prints. Then when I asked what day and time I should expect my order to be ready, she told me in a few hours." I told her I get off work at 5:30. I will try to be there close to 6. I showed up at 5:50 and stood at the counter, but was not acknowledged by anyone then the lady behind the counter answered a phone call. Once finally acknowledging me, she said "oh you're the little girl I talk to you on the phone. I thought you said you'd be here at six we just started your order." I asked how long the wait might be and she said, "at least 30 minutes. You said you were coming at 6. What time is it now?" I replied "it's 5:54" and she harrumphed and walked away. As I was leaving the store to run another errand in the meantime, I heard her grab a coworker and point and me and loudly talk about me as I walked away. I was so disgusted by this behavior and treatment of customers. I will never come back to this store and will advise my family and friends not to as well. read more

Everyone in the print shop is incredible! They are friendly and go above and beyond with their helpfulness and they are top-notch. I first used their printing service around the holidays when all of the staple stores, including my normal one, was overwhelmed and busy. The Falls Church store was also overwhelmed and busy, but that did not stop them from sharing their personal touch and working long hours to try to accommodate all of the orders and customers. I have continued to use them, and I am at the point in a couple short months that I look forward to seeing them. Annette is the star of the show & her bubbly personality bleeds into the rest of the team and I will drive extra distance to be able to use them and highly recommend them. read more

There have been too many times when I've come by and either all three printers are down or two printers are down and there's a line for the one printer that's working. What's worse is that the one printer that works often stalls when calculating job cost and a lengthy reboot doesn't solve the issue. Also, why is there fluid leaking from the ceiling? read more

I am 87 yrs old so my mastery of the tech world is self taught and scant .Annette ( a saint) spent time and patience to solve the Zip problem(rejected as too big)and print .Arrived at Staples anxious and overwhelmed and left with mission accomplished and ready to sing .. Thanks to Gary , Mike and Johnnie for going above and beyond to assist me not only with my purchase but also fixing my phone screen on my new iPhone to prevent scratching or necessary repairs if I drop it in the future! I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy closing process to make sure that I was taken care of!! I'm also grateful that I was able to get a discount on my purchase since I had a staple's rewards membership in addition to the back to school specials throughout the store! TSA Precheck attendee was a no show. There's no real way to find out if there will be a person present if you drive out there.

I attempted to do some basic printing with them. 5x7 two sided matte cards. This is one of the most common printing jobs out there. Unfortunately, the person working in the print center was completely incompetent with her own equipment. It took around 30 minutes to get a sample. When I was finally ready to make an order, instead of just charging me, she tried to set me up with the online website to place an online order. Which is fine, except I literally came into the store because the online ordering was not working. When I tried to explain this to her, she told me to do it online, and that she was too busy with other customers to help me. Worst experience ever. I always thought Staples had a solid team across all of their locations - I was proven wrong today. read more

I have been coming to this staples since 2000 but my latest experience here will make me think twice. I came in to buy some gift cards as gifts. Every other place I've been to whether another staples or usps or wherever I usually peel the cover off for it to scan. This particular time I went to check out this RUDE lady didn't even say hello she just said "I can't take these I have to peel them off" in a very jerk tone. I went in April and I was the only customer in the store. An employee came right up close to me to see if I needed help. Umm, pandemic-personal space. Then came down the aisle again and started looking at stuff about a foot from me. Not quick, not looking for someone. Weird. Today I was the next in line and the worker had to leave helping the guy ahead of me. Yelled to someone else to finish helping guy. Then that guy couldn't help me, yelled to another guy who complained about having to come to help. He knocks over something I was buying, no apology, nothing. All this after he complained about having to help me. Poor customer service..... I live close by and I will drive to another town from now on. read more

Sadly, as conveniently located and nice the exterior of this location is, it is so poorly run that it isn't worth your time or money. It isn't very busy inside so that is a plus, but with all the extra time on their hands, they aren't spending any of it on making sure prices are accurate or things are put away in the correct location as I found out in my recent trip. This is a perfect example of why people are going online for things when it should be much easier to shop in person and it just isn't. Decent selection of office supplies at okay prices and they seem to have most common printer cartridges. Employees are friendly but seem kinda bored since there isn't a whole lot going on here. Besides the messy aisles, the lack of customer service, and the slow lines, the main reason for the one star rating is this: I saw a bag on sale for $29.99, so I decided to get it. At the counter, the cashier rings it as $50. I tell him it was placed for sale, and he calls his manager. This manager was truly horrible. He immediately lashed out at me, barking "Where'd you find that!?!?", and I offered to take him to the spot. When I took him there, he quickly blamed his employees, saying that they must have misplaced the object on the wrong spot. I told him that before they would honor a product's price for where the customer found it, but he didn't even blink before shrugging that off. I said fine enough, although I was expecting some sort of apology on his behalf for the confusion, since he is the manager and all, but he acted very self-righteous and just went on his way. I never expected a manager to behave so rudely to a customer. I've been going to this Staples for many years, and I've never seen it in worse condition than it is in right now, and no doubt the management is a reflection of this. Perfectly fine Staples -- the floor displays were a little messy but the aisles were all clean and well-organized... and mostly well-stocked. A few things missing here and there, but I have definitely seen much worse when it comes to Big Box supply stores like Staples, so I can't complain too much. It's actually not a humongous store when you think about how these warehouse-style places can be, but it does good business since it's so close to George Mason High School (I myself remember filling up on school supplies from this Staples way, way, way, waaaay back in the day. Since traffic on Route 7 tends to get a little crazy when school lets out and during rush hour (all the people trying to get to 495 or 66... le sigh), I recommend avoiding the East Falls Plaza (where this store is located) at high-peak traffic times. read more

BEWARE! ONLINE INVENTORY IS FALSE!!! Thanks to a faulty inventory system, I just wasted 45 minutes & am empty-handed for teaching a class. Online they said there were about 53 of the notebooks I needed, so we went to the store. When we arrived, the store was in chaos & there were none on the shelves. When asking for help (I had a screen shot of the item number & how many were available) I was given the runaround from 4 employees until the 5th was able to tell me they were still in a truck. It took three or four attempts to find out when the truck might be unloaded - it was a very vague answer of a few days. Alas...office depot will have my last minute shopping trips from now on. read more

I like getting copies made here, quick and simple. Doesn't usually take more than half an hour to get 300 copies made, collated and stapled (during non rush times). It's on my way home from work, so convenient too. Unfortunately, their motto is "that was easy." Not really. I was looking for some 2-tab manila folders that I bought a few months ago and they only had 3 and 5-tab (or 1/3, 1/5 cut). After I told the sales associate I couldn't find them in the aisle, he took me back there again just to confirm. Nope, not there...not even a label where it may have been stocked. He suggested going online because you can get anything delivered to you there ($9.95 for shipping)! I compared the prices of the folders to Office Depot and they were nearly $2 more for the same amount. I also dislike that you can't exit from the same door you came in, although it opens automatically when you walk by. That's probably just me though. read more

Very convenient Staples. Most of the time, they have sales items in stock, especially within the first couple days of the sale. The staff is hit or miss. Some days, everyone says "hi" and helps. Other days, you are left standing in line for one staff member in the entire store. I like their "Easy rebates," since they will e-mail them straight to your paypal account. They also have really kooky, nifty things, like a tradition phone attachment to your iphone, or "as seen on TV stuff" or "Designer" holders for post-its. It's nice for a nork like me. read more

Price on the shelves are not the same as price at the cashier counter when checking out. Totally tricky. Some of their staff are helpful but I cannot comprehend the reason behind this strange phenomenon regarding the inconsistencies between the two prices for the same product. And of course, the "actual" price in their system is totally higher than the price tags they label clearly on the shelves in the aisles by almost 20% in my experience. And if it weren't me noticing the price differences on their cashier screen immediately, I may as well have been overcharged by a great amount without ever realizing it happening. And some products are absolutely way over priced than the majority of the market prices for the same product, particularly, their calculators, in my case. read more

We visited this store four evenings ago because we had a one-day 40% discount coupon. The toner we needed wasn't on the shelf - so we waylaid someone who turned out to be the manager, and he quickly retrieved more by climbing up to a high shelf on the far side of the store. I don't even know how to explain what happened to me at this store today! I went in looking for fountain pens, and not only did they have none on display, but they didn't even have many in stock. I somehow managed to find some cards that said, "Ask a sales associate to find this product". So I did. He looked at me like I asked him for his kidneys, and he grudgingly walked towards the back of the store. I started to walk around looking at other products on display and this guy literally ordered me saying, "just wait here". Seriously dude!!!!!!! That was no way to talk to a customer. He came back with the items I requested, and when I asked him questions about the product, like do you have other brands, do you have this in other colors, is this a medium point, and so on, he looked at me like I was stupid. I had read all these reviews here on Yelp about how great the the employees are, but my personal experience says otherwise. I couldn't tolerate that attitude anymore so I just left, but seriously, what could justify that behavior? Will I ever go back into that store again? - definitely not! Will I shop online at staples.com? - nope! Am I going to tear up my staples rewards card and burn it? - hell yeah! All it took was one employee to damage the perception of the brand right? read more

I went here yesterday to pick up supplies and was kindly helped by Daniel at the register. He was very pleasant and familiar with the rewards program and how it works! I also received assistance from a gentleman who was on the ladder who assisted me when I asked where to find the colored folders and he helped me as well (I apologize for not getting your name).
