Horrible customer service. Avoid this place. As I walked in, I saw an older woman with white hair snapping at a customer and sending him away like a school child to the principal's office. I tried to be extra cheerful to brighten her day, but the more I smiled, the ruder and angrier she became. Went to drop off an Amazon return. The only place in the store for UPS returns was the copy center. Guy at the desk gave me a poor excuse to why it wasn't his job despite being the only place to drop off... Amazon told me to repack into the original box, as both items were part of the same return. Guy complained to me in customer service language that of course, my packages had to be separate- even if Amazon said otherwise. There's a reason why people go to into Lancaster City for this stuff. read more

Today, the Amazon return associate seemed annoyed and bothered that I had multiple returns. While I tried to be organized and efficient with multiple returns her tone was snippy and irritated. May I suggest taking a day off if you are that unhappy or stressed. I have been shopping at this Staples for years and most associates are helpful or respectful but this time I felt like helping me was an inconvenience to her. I wish I could find another satisfactory place to do Amazon returns. Most times I go here, I experience unprofessional customer service. Yesterday the guy at the returns counter was impatient, snippy, and unhelpful. Why do they hire people like that for customer service! I left, feeling that I never want to go back again. Sierra provided excellent customer service when I purchased a laptop computer recently. I appreciated her friendliness and professionalism. She offered to transfer the data for us, she explained how to navigate the new computer and made sure she included the quick tabs of the programs I use most often. I look forward to working with her if I need to come to the store again. read more

What a useless organization. Attempted to order business cards through the online system, and the template size on their website was incorrect. They told me no problem, just bring your files in and we'll take care of it. Waisted an hour of my busy day for them to agree that the system is not working and it will cost additional for them to set the files up -- which have already been set up by the way. Looks like customers have to pay for Staples screw ups. I'm sure they don't care, as it reflects on the manager(s) of the store. Will never shop here again. Visited today soon after 9 with interest in buying a suite of home office furniture. We appeared to be the only customers. One employee was outdoors when we arrived and there were two that we saw on the sales floor; while they must have seen us enter we were not greeted. We were there about fifteen minutes in the furniture dept. One male employee walked by us as we were closely examining the underside of a desk. When we left, he and another associate were gossiping at the check out. She did stop chatting long enough to wish us a good day. If they have no more interest than that, I am happy to place my order for four items, over $400, online rather than in store. read more

This store is terrible. No one is around to help out. I went here to make some color copies and first the machine spits out blank pages and charges me 18 odd dollars. Then I fix the machine and redo it and it stops half way through to replace another cartridge. Keep your machines in working order now I'm out over 40 dollars and only have a 4th of copies I need. Won't be using this again. Not to mention I couldn't even set up my print job properly on their website because the set up was broken and would not allow me to change page numbers. read more

This morning I went to Staples to have 5 copies made and mail them. There were no other customers at the copy center. The clerk was very rude. When I asked her where the mail slot was, I could not hear her answer. I asked again, in a very pleasant way. I have worked in customer service for many years myself, and I have always been nice to other customer service workers. The clerk screamed, "ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WHITE CABINET!!!" and went over to the mail slot and smacked it very hard. I was shocked at this behavior. I then told her very calmly that I was sorry to have ruined her day. I will not shop there again. read more

My husband and myself went to get color copies done for my father in laws memorial service. We were greeted as soon as we entered the building and asked how they can help. We explained our need for copies. We were directed to the copy center and a proof was made on special paper. I asked for another on plain white paper. They were happy to help. I was quoted a price. We noticed our water mark was not showing up (it was too light) I said I would run home and make a new copy. I was offered an e-mail in service so I wouldn't have to run back. We declined as we wanted another proof. Things were not perfect. We were quoted a price and asked to return in about 45 min to pick up. I received a text about 30 mins later our order was ready for pick up. When we got there a 10% discount was applied to our order as well as a free tri fold done for us. We were told that Staples wanted to do something nice for us since we have had such a terrible last few days. We were offered a free poster size photo all we had to do was return with photo. The poster was wonderful with a white boarder on for family and friends to send well wishes. Over all we had a wonderful experience and will be back for any other copy needs. read more
