I ordered a personalized banner from Staples.com for my Uncle's birthday. I placed the order on a Wed. afternoon and they called me the next day at 5pm to say it was ready for pickup. This is the standard turnaround time and I did not pay extra for this. I got a 3'x6' banner and it was printed on a thick plastic type of paper. I input a custom design that I wanted and it turned out Really Nice! store#229 largo Florida- I had a very special order,31 (colored) pages from a 4x4 enlarged to 8 1/2 x11 pcs. of paper. laminated all 31 pages, then put in a binder. order to be finished in four hours! it was done in two hours. A perfect binder, the work was outstanding. Personally I went there for an interview and it was about 40 minutes and he went on to flex the way other businesses made way more money than his own business. Not the best place to apply, as he didn't make the job seem very appealing at all, just to deny my application. read more

I don't have a long review to write here simply because I do not frequent this store very often but I will tell you that my 5 stars comes from one visit and one incredibly helpful individual. Bonnie over in the print shop - I hope you get to read this review! Bonnie helped me get a file that I purchased off of Etsy off of my phone and onto her computer in a matter of seconds. When I told her that I didn't know what I was doing, she smiled and asked, "Did you get something off of Etsy?" She asked if I had a flash drive and when we tried that, it didn't work so she asked me to email it to her. She pointed out where to send it, pulled it up, printed out some samples so we could see exactly what we were working with and then she helped me pick out card stock to print them on. To top it all off, my total came to about $5.00.... I had been trying to order these online somewhere and was coming up with numbers 5x that much!! Bonnie is WONDERFUL and deserves a hug and a gold star for her positive attitude, knowledge, helpfulness and for being the nicest lady in the world. I will return to this Staples location because of Bonnie... Fingers crossed that everyone else can live up to my very high expectations! read more

I've been here a handful of times for print jobs and to grab other random office items. Staff is friendly and there always seems to be enough people working that someone always asks me if I need help with anything. Last time I was here they had deeply discounted Yankee Candles. Jar size. I candle that was originally $30 was on clearance for less than $10. Every now and then you can find awesome markdowns as this. If you're stocking up on office supplies I'd go elsewhere though. Staples is pricey. Bulk items like envelopes, pens, paper and packing supplies are so much cheaper at Sam's Club or Walmart. Will return because someone is always available to help if I need it and you can get in and out quickly. Ultimately 3/5 stars because they are expensive and I'm always looking for a good deal. read more

This store is an unfortunate disappointment. Today, the line at the register was 10 people long at 1:15pm and only one employee was working the registers. After a protracted period, one more staff member came to help out. Five staff members, including a manger, worked stocking shelves and talking to each other in the aisles nearby while customers needed assistance. All this followed by extremely unprofessional treatment at the register today - on both of my visits. Those issues I will be taking directly to corporate. If you're striving to feel special or even just fairly and professionally treated, avoid this place. read more

I really want to like Staples. The store is convenient to me and they run some pretty decent sales from time to time. But their policies are arbitrary and their customer service is perhaps the worst in the industry (of course I haven't tried everyone in the industry yet, but they got my vote). Here's the latest example: Staples advertises a price match guaranty, just bring in the ad and they'll match it. Or so they say. I came in Sunday with the Office Max bag that was in the paper. It said, 20% off anything that fits in the bag. I had one regular priced item (about $17) that I wanted to use the discount on. I asked the checker if they honored it, which he replied "yes". Then he asked another Staples employee how to enter it and he said they received an email from corporate that they would NOT be accepting the bag, because Staples considers it "an event." Really? Like what sale isn't an event? I guess they only honor non-event sales (my favorite kind!). That's bush league and just plain sad. I guess I need to head across town for my tech equipment from now on... read more

I had the worst experience I have ever had in a store at the Staples on the South West side. I wanted to buy an expensive office chair in the $350 to $400 dollar range but after two sales persons who were as helpful as they could be, I asked for the manager. I wish I had gotten his name because I am going to escalate this to corporate. I can say I am not the easiest person sometimes but it was 20 minutes till closing. The store was empty and I was told they didn't have the man power to get the chair down and put it together so I could see it. Even if they had offered to open the box so I could get an idea of what it looked like, I would have been fine with but the so called manager copped a serious attitude with me. Said he couldn't do it till the next day. I have bought numerous computers, accessories, supplies, and the list goes on. I'm writing this with a computer that came from Staples. I do think this was an isolated incident with this store this time but I don't plan on going back to this store ever again to find out. It was that bad! This store is close to my location so I've tried it several times. It's consistently understaffed, meaning that customer service is terrible. Others in my office have experienced the same treatment. The last time I visited the First Av. SE location, their computer was so slow that I left in frustration after at least ten minutes - without the item I needed. AND the internet said they DID have the item or I would not have wasted time going there. As a company we have never been happy with the 'service' this store is supposedly providing. I appreciate this Staples store on Wiley Blvd in CR. It is conveniently located nearby, the staff members are polite, as well as versed when I have product questions, and I'm greeted and asked if I need assistance. UPS in Staples provides with a horrible service. Last time I tried to ship this package oversea and after 3 guys running around for country area code ended up total cost $180, totally out of their mind. Then, went to USPS which cost only $55 with insurance. And, today on the way home and forgot about Columbus Day USPS is closed so I thought this is small package with domestic shipping should be okay. I stopped that local Staples and had to wait for 5 mins for assistance, the store was empty only 1 old lady over the service desk. This time it costs me about $10 cant wait to go to USPS to see how much will it cost. This local store IS REALLY BAD....I wont go there again ever, ever. read more
