Poor Quality and Customer Service I contacted CopyWorks in Cedar Rapids for a 16x20 photo print for my father's funeral. I emailed the image, and they confirmed it was good quality for printing. When I picked it up, my mom immediately noticed my dad's face looked extremely red compared to the original. When I asked for help, I was told it looked fine and that the graphic designer was out for the weekend, so nothing could be done before the Monday funeral. They suggested I try CVS or Walgreens, yet still expected me to pay for their incorrect print. After pleading, they only gave me a 20% discount. Thankfully, Walgreens printed it correctly, and Hobby Lobby framed it quickly and beautifully. I would not recommend CopyWorks for anything, especially when quality and empathy matter. read more

Printer isn't working. Wait. I just remembered I don't actually have a printer... This wouldn't be an issue had I not procrastinated. BUT I did. Of course I did. I really need it to look professional. The colors have gottta POP! Ahh, I don't know what size. I don't actually know HOW I'm going to print this particular project... I think I need help. Um. Alright. I better just head to Copyworks. Open 7A-8P during the week, 9A-7P Saturday and 9-5P Sunday this Copyworks is always a personal life saver. They offer a plethora of self serve stations to get your copying and printing needs done. (And the man power to help me actually navigate how to use the machines... because let's face it, I know NOTHING about technology.) You can send files online and even do online orders-- easy as pie! I have always been greeted with a smile. Helped when I needed it. Always left with what I came for. (Even slightly happier then when I came in.) The location is semi-convenient, just off the Coralville Strip. Parking is a non issue. Pricing seems fair. Even on bigger projects, like family cookbooks, they have been done to specification and in a timely manner. read more

Only one star for the dark, long haired young man who tried to help me received this one star for being a body in front of me... My sister in-law called four hour ahead of time to ensure a set of cards where cut for us when she ensured they were Down loaded to there site four hours prior yet when we arrived the cards were yet to be cut or even downloaded/printed!!! Then when I asked politely if I could get a copy made of the cards prior to being cut HE LITERALLY looked at me with deer in the head lights... I payed regardless but I'm sure he thought I was a TOTALL butthead, even tho I didn't mean it!! read more

These guys deserve five stars. I'm went in late in the evening needing to ship something off. I already had preprinted labels, but I had no way to box up and protect the delicate electronic items that need to be sent back. The two guys that helped me found boxes of the right size, found packaging, they taped everything up, put the labels on, couldn't have been nicer the whole time, and didn't charge me a dime. Needing to print something? This is not your place. Not only was customer service basically non-existent the final product was not good. I have gone to Copyworks throughout all of college and on. Lately, I have been going to them to print resumes. I know the paper, setup, and quality that I have come to expect of this place. The past two times I have literally given up. I have paid and left with pathetic prints and a bad attitude. The first instance where I had a bad experience, I was told that I had a 'bad file' when I questioned the streaky, inconsistent color in the letterhead. I informed them that it said low toner and that I've never had a problem with this file. After being told that was the best I was going to get I left. Questioning myself I took it to another print shop where the product was perfect. I was printing a thank you letter to an employer that had interviewed me for a marketing position. I was not about to send them a streaky, non professional paper. The second time, tonight, I am the only person in the store and no one gives me the time of day. I ask a few questions because I want to print a design portfolio and in return get pathetic assistance. I inform them that the printer is jammed and no move was made to fix it. I was there for one hour to print 24 pieces of paper that I never ended up getting. I wouldn't be aw frustrated right now if I had at least felt like they were trying to be of help, but the truth is they didn't care at all. Too bad I have an interview tomorrow where I'd like to have extra copies of my resume. Customer assistance is what can make or break a business. It is as easy as that. I have had it with this business and will not be back. Considering they are hiring, I hope they take this review into consideration when they look at new hires, I can only hope future visitors get better quality products and service then I did. read more

Good print for a decent price. A little pricey but with the gloss finish they put on my poster I feel it was well worth it. The original worker who put my job into the system must have done something wrong because when I called 3 days later my name was nowhere in the system. I was upset about this but the new worker prioritized my poster and had it out to me quickly. read more
