Thank goodness we have USPS offering affordable shopping options…read more 5 stars for the staff at this location. They are super friendly, explain options, answer all questions with a smile. I first went in enquiring about pricing and packaging procedures for certain items, which they answered with all the patience in the world. Then I went in again after a few days with a large number of packages. Stacey helped me out and shipped all my packages with a humble smile. I have seen staff at other locations roll their eyes when they see a customer who is going to take up a lot of time. Shout out to Stacey - she's the sweetest African American lady I have met till now. While she was processing the packages, we chatted about my origins, my community, holidays and so much more! This location offers all standard USPS services like PO Boxes, after hours drop off options, regular mailboxes etc. You can buy stamps, shipping material cards etc as well. Plenty of parking is available. Morning 8 am to 10 am are the slowest hrs of the day.

I guess I'm pretty diligent about returning online goods and every so often it's fun to send snail mail to friends, but other than that I'll just stop by occasionally for stamps for work mail. There are two main staff that have worked the counter for the several years I've been coming and they're always quite friendly. More than willing to work with you to get your items shipped safely and affordably. Sometimes the stamps options are limited, but I've never not been able to do what I needed. The facilities have always been very tidy and they seem to have a large section of boxes. I love my local post office!

I have never felt more uncomfortable bringing something in for an alteration. From start to finish…read morethe tailor made me feel bad for bringing in my top because it was too difficult. She complained during my try on and when I picked up my outfit to the point where I could not even bring myself to say thank you. She said she would never do it again in her life because it was too difficult and she should have charged me $100 more than what she charged me to begin with. I paid $135 for the alteration. I would not recommend going here unless you have something that just needs a simple hem.

Sonshine Cleaners in Iowa City does excellent work -- I've been consistently impressed with the…read morequality of their dry cleaning. But what really won me over was how they handled a problem. The night before a trip, I was packing and realized I didn't have some garments I'd dropped off. It was 9:30 at night and I was frustrated, so I texted their number not expecting much. I got a phone call back almost immediately, with an offer to bring the dry cleaning to me. Turned out one of my garments hadn't met their standards, so they'd sent it back for further cleaning -- which I appreciated. When I picked everything up after my trip, there was a $50 gift certificate waiting for me. Was I frustrated in the moment? Sure. But the response was fast, personal, and genuinely above and beyond. Great cleaning and great service.

(This is for the IC location) Do not recommend this place at all, would give 0 stars if I could…read more First of all, the prices are not listed ANYWHERE - not online or in the "store" - so I was pretty surprised to find out that the cost to dry clean 1 semi-formal (but really not that formal) dress was $37. Lesson learned, I guess, but I would have never assumed it would cost that much for a simple dress. I have never seen that kind of price at other dry cleaners I have used. Also, when I dropped it off, the sign said "anything dropped off today will be done by Wednesday." Well, Wednesday passed and I heard nothing. Once Friday rolled around and I still had not heard anything from them (besides the $37 charge to my credit card), I had to call to inquire, since I needed the dress for an event the next day. No answer. Someone (no idea who) from the store ends up texting me and tells me it "should be done" by the day that I need it by, and also, there is a stain on the dress that they could not remove. Okay, whatever. I just want the dang dress back. So at this point, I'm out $37 and the dress still has a stain on it (the whole reason I brought it in for dry cleaning). I get that maybe the stain just won't come out and that's fine/understandable, but now I am wondering what I paid $37 for. And to get it 3 days after they said it would done (8 days total). For one singular size extra small item. Learned my lesson and will definitely be using a different dry cleaner next time! Hopefully it actually ends up being done before I need it tomorrow - we'll see. Edit: picked it up this morning, hours before my event. The stains are very prominent on the front of the dress. Had I gotten it back on Wednesday, as I was promised, or even Thursday or Friday, I could have found another option before my event. Now it is the day of that the dress was ready to picked up, and it's too late to do anything about. Also, paid $37 for this, need I remind you. Wish I would have just used that money to buy a new dress. 0/10

Went in for a check engine light, left with a check engine light, because they had to work on another vehicle even though I had an appointment. They changed the heads on my vehicle in January after it overheated, 3 weeks to get the parts in and fix it and the vehicle hasn't run right since. Then they blame some other reason so they don't honor their 'warranty'. $4000 in 'repairs' and the vehicle runs like crap, won't go over 40 mph without issues. They don't have mechanics, they have parts replacers that need a computer to tell them what the problem is, if the computer can't tell them they play this endless game of changing out sensors.
