Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with the owner/manager of this UPS location. She would not answer my questions, was condescending, and looking to pick an argument. Very strange experience. Would not offer a breakdown of the costs for shipping a package and then said I had to prove the value of what I was sending (to her) in order to buy extra insurance. Needless to say, I bought my own packing supplies and shipped it from the Marion Post Office which was much more efficient and more cost effective. Avoid this place or you will leave feeling quite sour. read more

Customer service is HORRIBLE! I called to check on a tracking number because the ups website stated it hadn't let the facility. The representative lady that I talked to looked up the tracking number and the put me on "hold". She forgot to actually place me on hold so I heard the entire conversation she had with her supervisor. She said the label was created and it was never shipped out. He told her to tell me that I needed to address with amazon and leave it at that. She came back on the phone and told me that the package was shipped out and I needed to address any further issues with amazon. Her supervisor told her to lie to me! And then, She LIED right to me! I called her out and told her I heard the entire conversation and didn't appreciate her lying to me. She only stated that I needed to address with amazon and would say nothing else. read more

This location use to be awesome however as of lately and with new staff more mediocre. It is convenient for me as far as location. Yesterday I needed to ship 2 packages, and was a Saturday at 10:00 am. During the week it's hard with work to get there before they close. There was a sign on the door "CLOSED due to staffing issues". This seems to plague all business with staff ill or not wanting to pick up extra shifts to cover. Bummer since they will be closed Sunday and possible Monday due to holiday. read more

The UPS Store in Marion is great--employees are always helpful and friendly. BUT now UPS drivers will no longer deliver packages a second time if we happen to be gone the first time! Sometimes they send us to Marion pick-up, sometimes to CVS on Mt. Vernon Rd. UPS service has deteriorated drastically--it is so inconvenient to make a special trip to another neighborhood to pick up a package. Very dissatisfied with UPS delivery. read more

When I got there in am to ship 2 packes. The agent I do believe was hung over, not to smart when looking up address. He nosed around trying to figure out the price, I guess he couldn't find the address on computer. by the looks of things you would think you were in a prison camp, rope fence around the counter which was about a foot beyond the counter, kind like a no man's land. He spoke to me and I pulled my mask out from my and answer him, he went into a screaming fit, said don't take your mask off, the distant between us was at least 8 to 10 feet,,he went into a fit of rage told me to leave. He told me the price to shipping was 160.00 dollars I left and took the to post office for shipping of 36.00 dollards. read more

I had no clue that you could get 10% off if you mention Yelp! I wished I had because I spent a small fortune on shipping my visa application (and all the supporting documentation) and could have used all the discounts possible! Anyway, as mentioned, I needed to ship very important documents and UPS was one of two options I was given. Now, the instructions I was provided with specifically state that Express service must be used and that I must supply prepaid return shipping and packaging as well. I figured since these instructions were issued by the British Government that this would not be a problem. The store is quite bare and as far as shipping supplies, they had some, but it isn't a massive variety. I grabbed two large, padded envelopes and made my way to the counter. At the counter, a very friendly staff member greeted me and I explained the situation. He typed in the information in to give me a quote, but after typing in the information the option to create a return shipping label became greyed out. I showed him the instructions I had received and also mentioned that I created and account and I could create a return online for international shipping, but I couldn't figure out how to combine that with creating an outward shipment. This is usually why I hesitate to go to the stores, I always feel like they don't know as much about international shipping options... HOWEVER, I do feel like this guy should be given five stars for going the extra mile to get answers for me. He called the help number and was bounced around a number of times, but kept on until someone could provide an answer. Not to mention it was prime time for people to drop of their shipments and he was able to assist all of them at the same time. And just in case you were wondering, you can hear the chatter from the hair salon next door. Eventually he did get an answer (kind of ridiculous how long he was made to wait after being transferred around) and the answer was that they could not create a return for an international shipment in store. He did offer the UPS Express Envelopes so I didn't have to purchase and use the massive padded envelopes. Unfortunately, I did have to correct the addresses on the labels twice, so part of me is still a little worried that something might be incorrect with the shipment. I guess I'm a little confused as to why you can do this online, but you can't do it in store. So while I appreciate the extra effort of the staff member, I can't say that this store meets all of my shipping needs. I think I might opt for the other company if I have to do this particular shipment again. read more

In addition to being unhelpful, the employees at this location were unprofessional and rude. They were unable to notarize or even print a document. We use UPS stores regularly for printing and notary services, and at every other location, you are able to email documents to be printed to store####@theupsstore.com. Not here! One of the employees was wearing regular street clothes, and he did not have his notary stamp with him. Worthless. read more

Drove halfway across town to collect a package prior to close. Arrived at 6:48. Close time is listed on storefront for 7:00. The store was closed. Drove around back where a truck was being loaded. The employee said I couldn't get the package because they were closed. I mentioned the sign and website list 7pm for close not 6:48. She said they closed early because the truck was there. I have frequented this store more times in recent months due to the ease of returning packages. Today I had a 123lb large box (returning a dresser). I am 34 weeks pregnant and not as agile or strong as I was--I was greeted and assisted by Alex, a young man with an impressive attitude and great customer service skills. I let the manager know of my great experience with Alex and he noted that they unfortunately cannot compensate him any more. Alex is a valuable asset to this store, especially considering that I have not had great experiences in the past. If you have a package or need assistance Alex is your guy!
