This place is basically a scam. I came in for that deal ($59 for a free eye exam and 2 frames). I went into the exam room to find some lady on the screen (who isn't even a real doctor, probably watched some youtube videos for her certification). She's bogus, only ophthalmologists can tell you what's actually up and this just seemed like a lady who bought a white coat off amazon and is sitting in a tight space trying to come off as a professional. The exam was bad too, the lenses they tested in the exam room were covered in dirt and fingerprints. Anyways, we got the results for the exam and they tried to charge m over $500 for the glasses. The guy we were with said he was the "manager" and offered a "discount" but later said he'd ask the manager for a discount (so he lied about his authority there). We were extremely displeased. It's about one month later and we haven't gotten the overpriced glasses we paid for. I sat on the phone line for 40 minutes and no one picked up. I was told I'd get a call in around one and a half weeks to come pick them up but it's been a month. And they don't pick up. DO NOT go to this place unless you like wasting money on a youtube doctor and frames you'll probably never get. read more

There was virtually NO way to check the status of the order and when we were finally told they'd come in it was only one pair. We're three weeks in and we're still waiting for the second pair. If I could give them zero stars I would. I should blame myself because I went there last year and felt the enokitees are very unprofessional, they are slow and last year it took forever for me to get my contact lenses. I figured maybe I was impatient maybe I should give them another chance going against my intuition and previous experience. On June 9th, I visited here with my son for an eye exam. After 2 weeks my sons contacts came in (That is within reason even though they stated 5 days due to Covid). My contacts still weren't in. Week 3 came and went and I decided to go onto Lens.com and order contacts. I received those contacts in 10 days. Still my contacts from EYELAB were MIA. After 4 weeks of waiting I was forced to go inside and speak with them ( Yes, I tried to chat and I also tried to call, don't bother with this step because you will not get in touch with anyone. Even left my info on the chat so that I can be contacted). The one man in there agreed that this was ridiculous that after a month I still hadn't received my contacts and understood that I wanted my money back. The lady (I am not sure of her name so lets just call her Lady A) stated that they could not return the money to my flex spending account in which I paid for the lenses but she took my card number down and stated that she would return it to that card, a total of $106. Great.......I wait....Week 1.....nothing.....Week 2.....nothing.....Week 3....nothing......Today I go in and ask what happened to my money because at this point I have no contacts nor do I have my $106. Lets call him Gentleman B, he stated that if he gave me contacts as a courtesy would I keep my order. Now I am glutton for punishment so I agreed. Remember Lady A, well enter Lady A. Yes ma'am your total being returned to your card will be $17. I am confused how do we go from $106 to $17. She states well we gave you a discount on the eye exam and since you aren't getting the contacts anymore that's the full price. First, I didn't decide not to get my contacts, you all refused to give them to me. That sounds to me like the breach occurred on your end. Furthermore, remember the complimentary contacts. Yeah, no mention of that anymore. Now Man C (who is like the Regional Manager or something) decides to interject and tell me to calm down. (Let me preface it with this, I am from NY, my baseline tone is loud and add having a mask on, Now add a large man standing over me telling me I am being rude) Their customer service is non existent and they couldn't care less. When you read all these poor reviews, believe them. Its too late for me, but run.....save yourself. I told him, because you have piss poor service you are going to charge me extra for that. He stated that my eye exam would have cost more had I went somewhere else. First, I don't care if I had to pay $500 but immaculate service I would most definitely would. Secondly I have insurance, my exam would have been free, I couldn't get an appointment that was conducive to my schedule (I am a healthcare provider) and would've had to wait 2 weeks. Now I know that obviously that is what I should have done. They are the equivalent to SPIRIT Airlines. Pay extra and save yourself the headache. So now I am in the same exact position as I was when I walked in today. NO CONTACTS. read more

I was a recent patient at Eyelab Snellville location. My wife and I enjoyed the staff and had eye exams performed. Furthermore, we purchased eyeglasses and contacts from this location. Unfortunately, I have had to wait over 6 weeks to receive my contacts and we had issues with the eyeglass orders. We have had made multiple attempts to follow-up with the representatives at the Snellville location; however it has become obvious this location has issues with contact vendors and eyeglass labs. We do not plan to return and I would not recommend people to this location due to the poor turn around time as it relates to products and negligence as it relates to following up with patience of record. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before going to this place on Scenic Hwy in Snellville. Worst customer service ever. Their policy clearly state "If Stanton Optical fails to meet your promised delivery time and/or you are not completely satisfied with the product we would be able to issue a refund." Don't believe it. I ordered glasses in January and by February 25th still had no glasses. When you call the store either they don't answer the phone or they put you on hold and never come back. I went into the store in February and told them to cancel the order. I just wanted a refund so I could buy glasses elsewhere with better customer service. I received a call today stating that "corporate" declined my refund. When you call the "corporate" customer service number they put you on hold then transfer you back to the Snellville store. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!!!! On December 19, 2019, I went to My EyeLab to see about getting new glasses. The test was conducted on my eyes, and when I received my new glasses, they were not working. My EyeLab said it was due to an technical error and that they would test me again. After my second eye exam there on January 13, 2020, I received my second set of glasses almost a month later on February 11th, 2020. When I went to pick them up, I tried them on and they still did not help me see better. I asked for a refund, but My Eyelab insisted that I try them out for a few days just in case my eyes adjusted to the glasses. So, the next day on the 12th, I went back and picked the glasses up. I tried them on until the 18th, and they still did not help with my vision. I went back on the 18th, and returned the glasses. I had paid $382 out of pocket, while my insurance paid $894 (to my knowledge), so I requested a full refund. I was told that the money would be returned to my account in five business days, which would have been February 24th, but it is now the 28th, and I still have not received my money, and I keep getting the run around about why I haven't received my money. I went to another eye exam facility and my eye numbers came back different than what this place had said. I need this fixed as soon as possible. This company is stealing money and taking advantage of people who just want to see better. I wish I had read some of the public reviews of My EyeLab prior to going. I am not the only one who has been swindled out of their money. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This place is very unprofessional. read more

This place is a big ZERO customer service was the worst of all ,no professionalism, they were acting as if they are really busy but in real they have no idea what they are doing staff was acting as if they are least bothered and I literally felt as if I am doing a favour giving them my business no manager on site had an appointment at 4 pm but they took us in at 4:50 pm and than their system went down and they had no idea how to fix it and when I asked for my refund they said that since manager is not here they can't do the refund but likely after 30 minutes they were able to figure out and give me the money back ....never going back to this place again gave a 1 because there is no option for a ZERO read more

I had a horrible experience at this location recently. I came in for an eye exam and I explained to the person that was helping me pick out frames that I had insurance. He was trying to force me to buy frames and I told him that I only wanted to pay for the eye exam through my insurance. He told me that the eye exam would be $100 so I said again: "I have insurance". So at that time I was very frustrated and just ready to leave, so he comes back with the receipt showing $125 and said it was taxes. So at that point I was furious so I left the store and called my insurance company and they called the store and got everything sorted out. They did credit me back what the insurance was to cover but I will NEVER go back to this location again! They need to train their associates about insurance and what they cover! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, this has been a nightmare!! My mom and I ordered glasses on 01/9/2020(my mom) and 01/11/2020(my glasses). It's been OVER A MONTH and we still don't have our glasses. We received the glasses 2 weeks after the 1st ordered was placed (I had to go and look form them, because nobody called us) once we tried them we noticed something was wrong so we went back on 2/1/2020 to get them fixed, for our surprise they new tech that was there told us that the guy who did our orders messed up tremendously he put the numbers on the Rx completely wrong for Both of us!!! Apparently it was his last week so he did not care very unprofessional!!! I was upset and asked for a refund or discount for which the store manager said NO, she said she had to send them back and try to fix them before they could give me a refund (I found this odd but I agreed) Kathy the manager said it would only take 1 wee for them to get the glasses since it was their fault. 1 week passed and the glases were not ready, so I called on 2/12/2020 and requested a full refund but Kathy store manager did not accept instead said I was going to get a discount because the glasses were going to be there in 3 days... Again I accepted, thinking I should give them a 2 chance... well I went on Thursday 2/20/2020 to get the glasses and guess what??? They messed it up again they gave us the exact same glasses they did not change anything!!! They were wrong again!! At this point I've been without glasses for over a month and I want my full money back!!! Kathy the store manager keeps saying she can't because the company doesn't allow that hmm but in your website it says that you have 30 days and if your not happy you will give the money back, well I am not have because I paid $954 for my glasses and my mom's glasses and they still not here. I don't want them anymore I can't trust my eyelab any more this is the 3rd time they are trying to fix the glasses 3rd time!!! I need to know how can I get my money back! I called on Thursday to request it again and they told me they would call me in 24 to 48 hours and they haven't call me so I called and they said they did not have an answer so they had to submit another request. It is hard for me to write this negative review because I received such wonderful customer service from the personnel In the physical store. However, ordering glassess from this company was certainly a mistake. If you are reading this and you are interested in having an eye exam and picking out some generic and well priced glasses, then I recommend this place. Everyone in the store was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. My issue is with customer service on a corporate level. I paid over 300$ for glasses a month ago and still have not received them to date. It has been a full month. Everytime I tried to get in contact with the "front desk" I was transferred to a number where I got no answer. I have called over thirty times in the past two weeks. When I finally got on the phone with an actual person, I asked for a refund because I live out of state and my glasses still had not arrived. He told me he would process the refund and contact me in two days. However, I never heard from him or anyone. At that time, he also assured me that my glasses were being shipped to me. However, another week has passed and I still don't have the glasses that I paid for. I spoke to someone yesterday who literally told me that my glasses have been sitting in the store for over a week. That is absurd! Considering I asked for them to be shipped to my home out of state oVer a month ago while purchasing AND I spoke to someone last week who assured me they were being sent. Anyhow, I was denied for a refund , leaving me no choice but to wait around for glasses that I paid for a month ago. Don't listen to their refund policy on the website, it's false advertising. They will arbitrarily decide whether or not they want to give you one, as evidenced by the fact that I still haven't even received my glasses and was denied a refund. Bottom line, the tele-customer service absolutely sucks and the refund policy is null. If you need your glasses shipped anywhere other than the store, you are out of luck. read more

I cannot leave a zero but this has been the worst experience I've had with any company. I visited this location in April and received 2 pairs of glasses that gave me headaches and my eyes began to twitch. I couldn't read any signs or the license plates next to me in my car. I went back for a reexamination and decided to cancel due to concern for my vision. I tried calling Stanton Optical numerous times and received every story in the book. A supervisor will call you back, we're calling the manager, we can't do anything because it's a franchise store, etc. I have been paying on the glasses since May and they still are not correct. I had another set made finally since they wouldn't refund my money and they came back incorrect as well. The manager told me that there wasn't an Optician there since the store opened in April and that's why everyone's prescriptions were incorrect. I am out $400 and I just want my money back for the glasses that I still can't wear and I don't trust this company at all to remake them. They ask people to leave a review before they receive the glasses which is crazy! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!! read more

Upon arrival by appointment the eye exam went quickly. As i was waiting for the prescription i decided to grab lunch and come back for the scrip. I had pretty much decided to use a cheap online service for the glasses but, upon rearrival the hard sell began.Oh yes everyone was friendly except the managers. A young woman that appeared to be a manager with tattoos all over and a pierced nose was a completely harried and a tall man in a business suit appeared to hover over the sales people in white coats.The sales guys were friendly but it reminded me of a used car lot when the hard sale started, oh you need this and you need this and the lenses are three times the cost of the cheapest frames without any treatments ie, scratch coat, glare protection, tints etc. The sales guy seemed to be nervous as the tall guy in the business suit was hovering around listening, and i just requested my prescription and the PD ( pupillary distance) the sales guy measured my pd , gave me a number and as i was leaving the suited manager blurted out " I wouldnt use that PD" And i thought how rude and obnoxious of him to say that! So to cut this short instead of the hard sale that would have cost alot, a hundred or more, i have ordered what i needed with lenses, frames, scratch coating, glare coating and shipping for $17.00. I Purchased eyewear from My Eyelab in Snellville, GA on Saturday 7/14/19. Went in for exam based on the advertisement for 2 pair for 59.95 and free exam. This was my first time ever wearing glasses. Went in about an hour before they closed. They performed exam and issued the script. By the time I was required to pay, the manager had left for the day and the salesperson helping me had a bill for me of $1025.00 for two pair of low script glasses. I am 43 and just require glasses for reading very small print. When I questioned the bill, I was told that my script required all the additional items on the script and I was led to believe that the cost of $1025.00 was normal. I was traveling to the west coast Sunday from 12-5 so I was not able to call them until first thing Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. I spoke to the Manager Natalie and told her I wanted to cancel my order completely because I found that I could get the same script and glasses at several other places for 200.00 to 300.00. She said the order was non-refundable and I told her that none of my paperwork nor signs in the store displayed a non-refundable policy. She spoke with me further and went through my order line by line and agreed that the salesperson added many things that were unnecessary. She agreed to eliminate the "upgrades" and charge me 350.00 total instead of the $1025.00. I gave her my card info over the phone so she could request the refund on 7/16/19 but she never did. I went in to see her a few days later when I got back to town and she stated that the only reason the refund had not been processed was that the corporate office personnel responsible for issuing refunds was on vacation that week. The refund never happened and the glasses did not come in for several weeks during which time she reassured me everything would be taken care of. After a couple weeks of waiting, I informed them on July 30, 2019 that I was going to file a dispute with my bank for the agreed upon refund amount, which she responded would be fine to do. When my bank provided a temporary credit to my account, My Eyelab responded to my bank's inquiry, they lied to my bank and told that the entire amount of $1025.00 was a legitimate charge and sent them a copy of the receipt as evidence. As a result, my bank sent notice 2 days ago that they re-debiting my account and any reduction I was assured to receive would have to be given directly by the My Eyelab. When I went to the store to let the manager know what happened she said she would take care of it by the following day. I went back the next morning and her Assistant Manager said that they are only giving me back $350.00, not the $675.00 she had promised. She told the Assistant Manager that she never agreed to charge me only $350.00 but instead agreed to remove $350.00. She refused to speak with me and they would only give me back $350.00. I gave the glasses back to the Assistant Manager and told him that I was not willing to pay 675.00 for reading glasses and that was not the agreement we had. He told me they cannot take the glasses back, but I left the glasses and told them I would report them. The Manager lied to me from July 16, 2019 in hopes that enough time would elapse to where they could play games about the amount she agreed to and then I'd be stuck with the glasses and the charges. I checked online and apparently I am not the only one who they have done a bait and switch on. They seem to tell you they are going to do things and then renege. The first seven or eight times we discussed the refund, I was told that the local store was unable to process it. Then all of a sudden after more than 3 months, when I discover that they never processed anything or appropriately responded to my bank, the Assistant manager stood there and processed the refund right in front of me but refused to do it for the amount promised. Ordered 2 glasses on 8/8 and still have not received a call to pick up(8/23). I called the main eyelab number(no branch phone number provided) and had to call back 2 times as their line cut me off. Got C/S and they hung up on me and called again, they were to transfer me to local branch but transferred me back to C/S. 1st time at eyelab and wasnt aware of the process, you have to pay up front for the "free" exam and then get it credited when you purchase glasses. The "2 for" deal has about 5 frames you can choose from and they look like 80's granny glasses and made of cheap material that looks like it will break. I didnt like the exam process as you are talking to someone on a tv screen who is checking your eyes. I am undecided if Im getting the best exam for my eyes when the person isnt physically in front of me. Only 2 good things I would say is that the branch personnel is very helpful and patient and the location is new and pristine so thats the only reason they got 2 stars. read more
