The person that did my exam was terrible, She was speaking extremely fast, with an accent, so my appointment felt very rushed to the point that I am scheduling to have my eyes checked again. This is an updated review because I left my original review on Google. Apparently they're temporarily closed. My contacts have been ready for 2 weeks and I wasn't notified. I recently had knee surgery and could've picked my contacts up prior to my procedure. While I'm out, hoping I can pick up my contacts, I notice they're temporarily closed on Google. I call corporate and my contacts are at the other location in Duluth? The receptionist seemed unsure if they were in transit or what the situation is. Top notch customer service! Marcie was very attentive and helpful personalizing my experience with finding the right pair of frames for me. I had never had to wear glasses before but now and she made the whole experience less daunting. The hybrid exam with a tele medicine doctor was a bit different. Marcie was there through it all. She gave me a thorough explanation on the what and whys to my prescription lenses, as it was all new news to me. My glasses will be ready for pick up less than 2 weeks. The lady who helped initiate the service was just fine, although she smelled like smoke. With the offsite doctor, the length of the entire appointment lasted two hours. Then, they wanted to sell me glasses and contacts. No way. Knowing now the whole thing was a cluster and the person that was helping me actually admitted her management was wanting her to push customers to make selections they didn't want (not her fault), the real chances of the prescription being of professional quality is probably low. Walked in to get an contact exam, but was immediately rushed with an offer to get a "free eye exam". After asking for clarification that "free" meant 'with a purchase of a pair of glasses'. I was then quoted for an actual exam price. Then I had to ask for clarification on being able to use my insurance. Why are you, the employee, making it so that the customer has to ask all the clarify questions? It would be so easy for someone with no optical experience to get taken advantage of here. My second reg flag was seeing a second employee come out of the backroom, talking about "she wants to be so rude while we're looking at some glasses, I'm not here for that attitude" or something like that. Another employee asked if he was talking about a previous customer and he said "mmhm, and she can go to hell". The second employee told the first to shush and then waved him over so they could huddle and have this conversation quietly, BUT STILL ON THE MAIL FLOOR. First of all, I get it, some customers can be dumbasses. I'm not gonna lie and say I haven't vented about customers multiple times, but I'm not stupid enough to do it on the main floor in front of other customers-- like go to the backroom. I wasn't feeling this spot the moment I stepped in. I came in with my mom, who was heard about this place with whatever 2 for something deal they had. We walk in, and the door opens all the way and doesn't close - instead of being greeted by the person who works there with a "hello, how can I help you?" she says "the door is broken, just pull it up." I looked at her and said "umm, you can pull it up." Like I don't work there, get the door fixed if it's broken. We stayed for a few more minutes and she asked my mom to sign into some form without any context. Bottom line, the energy here was off, the customer service was bad, and I hope they don't treat other people like that. But obviously they do according to all other negative reviews seen here. My first time going to this store to update my prescription, while making the reservation via phone I confirmed with the representative that the cost of the eye exam was going to be $45, which was fair as all other eye exam places charge about the same. In store, they attempted to charge me $95 for the eye exam. I told the employee that I was quoted $45 over the phone and the employee said that I was speaking to their call center abroad and they do not dictate the prices, what? So I pulled up the fine print on their website that clearly states the price to make sure I wasn't reading things wrong, I also even mentioned the fine print IN-STORE that states "A customer will charged up to $55 for an eye exam" The employee then says they didn't know what i was talking about even after reading the fine print. Even their BOGO glasses deal comes with a free eye exam for $59.95, how is the eye exam itself being charged for $95? The manager did let me off with $55+tax for the exam but still it was quite troublesome. Theyre not like Americas Best they don't look in your eye (eye test) they are only limited to the prescription, yet they ask all these questions about any issues I have which I listed and they were not addressed because of the limitation of services they provide. If I would've known this I wouldn't have went. Its not worth it. You can pay $99 for contact and glasses prescription at Americas Best and even get sample contacts. I haven't been to AB in 2 years so not sure if they're still doing this but that is a much better deal even without the sample than $89 and a prescription with no form of eye test from My Eye Lab. read more

I went to Conyers store and got eye exam. Had my own frams. so I just did the lenses. Each time I wore glasses, they were blurry, I could not see out of them, after a few weeks, I went to another eye doctor. They did an eye exam and told me the reason I could not see out of the glasses, is because the prescription was wrong. I called eyelab and let them know, but they said I was out of the 30 day period and it was nothing they could do. I spent almost $200 for the wrong lenses and they are telling me their is nothing they can do. read more

June 10 2020. On March 11 2020 I returned two pairs of defective glasses under my warranty. Their poor quality coating started peeling off. Here it is June 10 2020 and I still have not received my glasses. I have called their too free number. I push the number to connect with the local store and they disconnect my call every time. I call back to use the general customer service number and have held for over an hour each time and nobody ever pucksbup. No emailed their customer service site and just get a stupid generic message to call them at their useless toll free number. My son placed his order 3 1/2 months ago for a pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses. The order came in at the end of January but the lenses in the sunglasses were not tinted. He's yet to receive his glasses and there's still nothing that has been done. He's called weekly to check the status and the majority of the time he has to call from a different number to get anyone at the store to answer his call. He has requested to speak to the regional manager (no response there) and has also emailed their customer service. Customer service originally said a few weeks ago that his glasses had arrived to the store and the manager would be calling to schedule a pick up time. We emailed back to inquire about the status setting as the manager never called and got a response that the glasses are still at the lab. It has been such a headache trying to get his glasses. Covid robbed him of the remainder of his senior year and now My EyeLab has robbed him of his hard earned money. After speaking to a few people about this business, it seems like this is their norm. This place is horrible. I just went to pick up my glasses 15-20 mins before they closed. And picking up glasses takes 5 minutes at most because I already paid. Went today to update my prescription (long overdue) but I went to them four years ago and got my first pair of glasses. No matter what the doctor did the lenses weren't changing and everything looked the same. I tried to explain to the specialist that it didn't seem like the lenses were working correctly and nothing seemed different no matter what the doctor "did" and the specialist said that the lenses were very different and I need to go see another eye doctor because there could be something changing in me internally that caused me not to see clearly. The only reason I needed new glasses was because my dogs got to my glasses and scratched the lenses. If you do not consent to be recorded during your exam, do not bother making the trip. There is a waiver you must agree to that allows them to use the recordings for commercial purposes, etc.- if they want to. Otherwise you will NOT get a complete exam. Went there to get eye exam. I was NOT told that the computer guy 3 states away was not a real doctor. Only a Ophthalmologist can check for glaucoma, rential problems, diabetes brain tumors, cancer, high blood pressure etc.. They ask you to fill out yelp while or at the moment you seem happy. They got my frame wrong completely and could not see well from new lens. The actual frames are so cheaply made. The cost to make frames and lens really run about 1/4th the cost you pay for. During this visit I listened to a frustrated employee argue with the insurance people on the phone and get frustrated with other employees. The manager and employee also argued about the fact that it was too late to do my contact lens exam although I had already been there for an hour with an appointment. They did this in front of myself and my kids as if we could not hear them. I decided to reschedule for the remaining appointments. They had to redo the exam they already did previously because it didn't "save." We spent another 2 hrs to complete all the exams and then had to wait again just to receive the prescriptions. First off they accepted my walk in appointment so that was great. Due to COVID and being a new mom I don't like being out the house for a long time and they were really quick! They're very kind people, were talking to me and joking around with me, helping me select my glasses. They had a buy one get one free deal which was awesome. I had insurance but the deals were better ( you can't have a deal with ur insurance) so I ended up doing it without my insurance! There was great affordable varieties which made it difficult to choose though I ended up getting assistance which he got me the EXACT pair I was looking for. This morning I went into My Eyelab to inquire about replacement frames that were ordered over 5 weeks ago. I was met and greeted my a male and female worker. From the very beginning the young lady was short and snappish when speaking to me. She made it seem like I was a bother and somehow annoyed her. Even though I was the only customer in the store. She asked to see the old frames and than complained the she couldn't tell who the manufacturer was, I provided the receipt to help locate the frames information. At this point I was finished dealing with her and decided to only talk to the male worker but she wouldn't stop talking trash to me or about me. I asked why are you still talking and she said it was her right to talk, true but not to argue with the customer that is trying to get what she paid for. Her continual talking and mumbling made me so uncomfortable that I just wanted to leave and not try on the new frames. I realize that I'm only one customer and it will not make a difference if I never return to do business with My Eyelab. But I know I won't be the only customer that she does this to if she's not trained in customer relations, interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution.
