Starting with the positive. Had an eye surgery with Dr. Niraj Desai. By far, this gentleman is the…read morebest, could not ask for anything more, a true professional and a master at eye surgery and his craft. However, everything billing-related has made this experience the absolute worst experience. This may come off harsh, but the fact is Milan Eye Center is incompetent when it comes to billing, and they refuse to take any responsibility. They hire a 3rd party billing company overseas, so every time you call their office to discuss anything "billing-related," you are automatically transferred to their overseas contracted billing partner. Why in the world would you hire such an incompetent company to handle all your billing? This is a multimillion-dollar eyecare practice. We knew this surgery would happen, and switched insurance plans as the new plan had a specific flat in-network $1,000 copay for each eye for Cataract Surgery. The total surgery should have cost $2,000, plus the additional co-payments for other doctor visits/eval pre- and post-surgery. Guess what? Milan Eye Center never billed UHC. At the last moment, we were forced into taking out a $5,000 loan from CareCredit to pay for the Cataract Surgery. To make matters worse, after the surgery, Milan Eye Center billing third party started sending bills for $3,900 for the same surgery. ; First of all. Milan Eye Center will NOT perform any surgery until the costs are all paid off in full, meaning you cannot enter the surgery room, hence why we had to take out the $5,000 loan. So a surgery that should have cost $2,000 with insurance ended up costing $5,000 + now they want another $3,900. Cataract Surgery is not $8,900, including insurance; the total to them should be $10,900? After the surgery, we spoke with the insurance. Milan Eye Center never filed it through them, even though they are in-network. After a year, we finally paid off the $5,000 loan we should have never had to taken out... and now they still want $3,900... As someone who has worked in healthcare, what this practice is doing is unethical and illegal. [Review 742] - 15th Review of 2025

From the moment I entered the surgical suite until I got back in my car, I was treated with care and respect. I highly recommend Dr. G Patel and his team. I could not have been in better hands!

My family and I have been patient of Dr. Amin for the last 14 years and I would not hesitate to…read morerecommend her practice to friends and family. Dr. Amin is always very kind and professional, she does make you feel at ease and takes very good care of her patients. Before her practice we had visited other doctors, but once we became her patients, we stayed with her. I would gladly recommend her to anyone.

After reading countless stories of people who purchased lenses online that were different than…read moretheir prescriptions I knew I had to visit a local eyecare office. It was important that my kids received the exact same prescription lenses as written on their RX because they are needed for school. Fortunately, after searching around for hours I discovered Lilburn Family Eyecare and read the reviews about their Optician Troy Weber. I emailed him a few times, he provided prices and the estimated time of 2-3 weeks to receive the lenses, so I stopped by the office to see him. Troy was awesome, explained everything to me, and I provided him the frames, and later that evening I brought in my kids so he could take a measurement. This was a Friday, and because of after-school activities I was in a rush to get to their office before they closed, and I just missed it by like one minute, but he was still there and took the measurement. Troy sent off the glasses and surprisingly had them the very next week. Wow, that was fast. When I brought in my kids to pick up the glasses, Troy was speaking with a client and Dr. Amin went to get the glasses and made sure everything fit properly. Best of all, my kids love their new glasses, and they can SEE!!! Troy even recommended a product to use so that when my kids are in school wearing their mask and their glasses fog up, it prevents it (No Fog Cloth), and it really works. Optician Troy and Dr. Amin are outstanding and so is the front staff. If you are looking for a high-quality eye care center that handles everything, this is 1000% the place to visit. TIP: This office is located right next to the new Lilburn Police Department off Lawrenceville Hwy. You will see a bunch of brown brick office buildings. Lilburn Family Eyecare is the very last building at the end on the far right. [Review #649]  (5th Review of 2022)

A final update, because people need to be aware of how these people work. Having spent 6 months…read moreemailing and calling to try to speak with someone about this, GA Eye Associates instead decided to turn me over to collections. I had two months to respond, and waited until the clock had almost run out to do so. I responded with copies of emails, and a chronological accounting of every effort I had made to contact these idiots. I have never heard anything back from collections or GEA. My credit score (which was excellent) took a small 2 month hit, but rebounded and more. Sleaziest of the sleazebags. Petty. God help you if you choose this practice.

Dr. Rabitsha, is nice enough but I waited almost two hours to be seen. After seeing the doctor I sat with Eve and she was only able to offer me two pairs of frames in my budget. When the first pair came in, I was never called that they were in to pick up-I was told they left me a VM. (I had no VM or missed calls from the the office) and when I picked them up and tried them on in office I couldn't see a thing. Eve informed me it would take some time for my eyes to adjust and to wear them as much as I could that day. It felt very much like I was being dismissed. Nope, wore them all day, or tried to, because I had to work and couldn't see my screens at all. Went back for another appointment where I waiting in a very uncomfortable HOT waiting room for a quite some time past my appointment time-and it after more testing, it was the wrong prescription. RE-ordered my glasses. This was over two weeks ago (4/21) and I still am without glasses. I am not sure if this is just standard for all eye doctors or not, but I did not feel taken care of. The friendliest people there are the ladies that sit at the reception desk. At this point I feel this was a waste of $400.

I began searching for a private eye care (not a chain) that was close to my house and worried that I wouldn't be able to find one I liked. My search has now ended. However, the 7 day return policy is not flexible enough. When it comes to progressives, you need a few days to adjust to them. If there's a problem, one needs time to return to the store, find out that the prescription might be wrong, reschedule another ophthalmologist appt, and then return again with a new prescription. For people who work, it is not possible to miss so much work--or get another doctor's appointment so quickly--and return to fix the glasses. I spent a few hundred dollars for unwearable glasses because I work full-time and could not get back into the store with a new prescription within 7 days. I had to wait another year before I could address this due to insurance coverage. I recommend DHEC for standard glasses and the outstanding staff, but if you need progressives that might need some adjustments over time, you might want to consider a place with a more lenient policy.
