My pledge to commit to that philosophy is even more serious in the instance when I received my first exam from the optical professionals at Whitson Vision, with locations on East 86th Street in Indianapolis and at IU West Hospital in Avon (in addition to surgical facilities at 9002 N. Meridian Street in Indy). I recently completed my first appointment with Dr. Doore, an Optometrist who, along with several others, ran a series of tests to ensure that my Type 2 Diabetes was not causing any severe issues with my sight. Each and every individual displayed the finest measure of kindness, compassion and a commitment to concise and easily understandable, plain English doctor-patient communication. This was not my first experience with the Whitson Workforce! My domestic partner has experienced a decades- long case of chronic glaucoma and has benefitted from Dr. Whitson's direct surgical expertise, including two significant procedures that seem to have turned out...well, to be succinct, brilliant! Doctors and patients seem unanimous in their opinions that Dr. Whitson is the "go-to" opthalmologist when no one else can fix a difficult eye problem. I am more than pleased to report that, thanks to his work with my partner and now with me, William Whitson, MD continues to foster that same reputation with our household! I recommend his services enthusiastically.

Not only does he know exactly what to do to make your eyes feel better, he will make you laugh so hard that you will forget you have that stupid eye tester on your face. Amber sat with me while I was trying to put contacts in for the first time by myself and was super encouraging and did not judge me that it took 15 minutes to get a contact in. There is a reason I drive all the way to Brownsburg to come here! Great people!

There is an employee named Stacy she is so friendly we followed her from another store she was at in Plainfield that we purchased Glasses from 5 years ago. She is very helpful and walks around and helps you pick out the right glasses for your face. Then you set down and get all the stuff you need for them,like bifocals, scratch resistant, glare resistant and transition so you don't need sunglasses. And of course Hubby got it all plus sunglasses. But he got two pairs for the price of one what a deal.

My exam went fine and was done in under 30 minutes since my prescription is pretty straight forward, however the selection of frames is definitely lacking compared to other locations. Finally selected a pair from the few racks they offer and received a text stating that my new glasses were ready for pickup on Saturday morning. Drove to the office and when I approached the door two female staff I recognized from my appointment were at the front desk... As they saw me approach they fled from the front desk to behind the hallway/doorway to the right of the desk and then peeked around the corner when I got to the door and noticed it was locked. They made eye contact a second time and then walked again behind the wall laughing. Luckily a male staff member came to the door as I was preparing to leave and gave me my glasses. I would not have been upset at all if the ladies just came to the door and advised that they were closed or could not process anything on a Saturday, but playing rude and childish games cost them any future business from my family as well as ensuring that I will recommend other offices to everyone I know.

She was kind, personable and knowledgeable. She had answers to my questions and tips that helped me form the decision to choose a nice pair of glasses, in which the prescription lens was spot on. Sure, my physician had to get her part right 1st, but their accurate placement matters just as much. Plenty of frame brand selections to choose from. Called over the phone to ask for details of updated script and was told I need to pay again if I want help, in a very negative tone. Went to the doctor and the receptionist instantly told me they would call the police if I didn't leave. Eventually the doctor spoke with me and told me that it was my fault and I accepted the bad prescription. They are great as long as you do exactly what they say, otherwise they will treat you very poorly and basically insist you go elsewhere. The customer is only as valuable as the doctor believes that you'll swipe away without asking questions. Also back when they finally got my glasses corrected, I received a text saying to schedule an appointment to pick them up. I didn't understand why I would need an appointment so I just went there to pick them up. Apparently the doctor was having lunch and she had to unlock the door to hand them to me. I'll never forget the look of disdain she had for me, so none of what happened today (above) surprised me l. I was a huge bother then and an even bigger bother today because I asked questions instead of paying right away. I've had good work done there before and she seems to be good at her job most of the time, but it appears that her ego (big shot doctor, (eye roll)) is seeping into how they believe that they should treat customers. I went in for dry eyes and she was thorough and had the latest technology with 3d images of my eyes. She got me well taken care of and on my way to fixing my dry eyes. I highly recommend!!
