The original doctors were older folks that recently retired. The doctor that I met with was friendly and kind. He helped to find my correct prescription. There is an employee named Stacy she is so friendly we followed her from another store she was at in Plainfield that we purchased Glasses from 5 years ago. She is very helpful and walks around and helps you pick out the right glasses for your face. Then you set down and get all the stuff you need for them,like bifocals, scratch resistant, glare resistant and transition so you don't need sunglasses. And of course Hubby got it all plus sunglasses. But he got two pairs for the price of one what a deal.

They just could not dial in the correct prescription for the lenses. It got so frustrating because I could not see properly. Out of desperation I started searching for someone who could help because I felt that there had to be a solution. I saw that Dr.Thompson had an Engineering degree as well. Being an engineer myself and knowing that optics is based on a lot of physics, I I decided on Dr.Thompson. I walked in for my appointment. Dr.Thompson was very clear about the problem. He explained the science behind why others had been struggling. He said he was going to experiment with various lens combinations. When I walked out that day with a trial pair of lenses that he had readily available, I was able to see again. It was like a miracle. After having suffered almost 2 years this was an euphoric experience. I went back for a second tweak and I can now see better than I have been able to see in years!! Dr.Thompson is brilliant! His assistant Sandy is also great in getting everything ready which saves so much time.

My pledge to commit to that philosophy is even more serious in the instance when I received my first exam from the optical professionals at Whitson Vision, with locations on East 86th Street in Indianapolis and at IU West Hospital in Avon (in addition to surgical facilities at 9002 N. Meridian Street in Indy). I recently completed my first appointment with Dr. Doore, an Optometrist who, along with several others, ran a series of tests to ensure that my Type 2 Diabetes was not causing any severe issues with my sight. Each and every individual displayed the finest measure of kindness, compassion and a commitment to concise and easily understandable, plain English doctor-patient communication. This was not my first experience with the Whitson Workforce! My domestic partner has experienced a decades- long case of chronic glaucoma and has benefitted from Dr. Whitson's direct surgical expertise, including two significant procedures that seem to have turned out...well, to be succinct, brilliant! Doctors and patients seem unanimous in their opinions that Dr. Whitson is the "go-to" opthalmologist when no one else can fix a difficult eye problem. Not only does he know exactly what to do to make your eyes feel better, he will make you laugh so hard that you will forget you have that stupid eye tester on your face. Amber sat with me while I was trying to put contacts in for the first time by myself and was super encouraging and did not judge me that it took 15 minutes to get a contact in. There is a reason I drive all the way to Brownsburg to come here! Great people!
