Not only does he know exactly what to do to make your eyes feel better, he will make you laugh so hard that you will forget you have that stupid eye tester on your face. Amber sat with me while I was trying to put contacts in for the first time by myself and was super encouraging and did not judge me that it took 15 minutes to get a contact in. Every time I call or visit it's always a pleasure. I actually called the week before my appointment because I needed an emergency set of contacts (I had wearing my glasses at the gym) and Kim help a pair for me to pick up after I got off work. I was extremely appreciative and relieved. My eye exam went well. A pleasant surprise was that they don't have that machine that blows the air in your eye anymore (I HATE that thing). They have a new device that's a lot better and it doesn't blow any air whatsoever (yay, it's the little things). My prescription pretty much stays the same and everything checked out well. The doctor and staff was pleasant and Megan was amazing. She made I had my prescription on a little card so I can order my funky glasses AND she explained all my vision benefits. They also allowed me to take an old magazine home so I can try a lavender/lemon bar recipe. I told them if they turned out good I'd bring them some back. :) Overall the experience was easy and quick. I was seen right away and their customer service was amazing. I would definitely recommend Bogan Eyecare Center! Thanks for a wonderful experience...

I was given a few samples to try out for contacts. On my third sample, I was good. We finalized my prescription, and I ordered the contacts. I received the contacts. They did not work. I contacted them to verify my prescription was correct. They said yes. I contacted the MFR and they sent me a new set of contacts. Still no good. I contacted the DRs office to get me prescription rechecked and they said "Sure, but it will cost you out of pocket". All I wanted was to verify the prescription. I was told nope. Sorry. So basically, I was out the cost of the contacts because they are unusable to me and unable to go see another DR unless I pay since I used my insurance visit for the year. Clearly, they did not update my prescription to the third sample and did not care to help me out. Plenty of other eye DRs out there.

A little bit of background. I have had LASIK/PRK and several operations to clean up the messes it…read morecaused, and then needed another surgery called cornea cross linking in order to stabilize my vision after. I will probably need cornea transplants down the line, but will cross that bridge when I get there. I also have known 4 people that have committed suicide because of botched LASIK. It was shocking to me today that when I took my daughter out of school to visit Target Optical in Avon Indiana to get her first pair of glasses, that their new patient uptake form asked if you are interested in LASIK. I inquired immediately as to why this would be the case, and the absolute rudest guy on earth said it was to refer those that want it. I do not participate in companies that get kick back for this, and there is no reason to refer anyone that is interested in LASIK to anyone else unless a kickback is involved, why refer someone who can get injured when not referring anyone guarantees no harm? I informed them I have had about 9 different eye surgeries because of this, and why in the world would they ask this question in their new patient uptake form. I was asked to leave, and they would not see me or my daughter. It was then a fight with that same rude guy to get the school excuse slip to give to my daughter's school to return her after. I will now need to take her out again to see an eye doctor at a later date. Thank you to that wonderful woman who did give me the school excuse slip that is required by law to get my daughter out of school for that visit which we were ejected from. One person that works there was a normal functioning adult. I tried to get the forms back in order to take a picture of them for this review, and that guy no longer allowed me access to that paperwork. As they saw me approach they fled from the front desk to behind the hallway/doorway to the right of the desk and then peeked around the corner when I got to the door and noticed it was locked. They made eye contact a second time and then walked again behind the wall laughing. Luckily a male staff member came to the door as I was preparing to leave and gave me my glasses. I would not have been upset at all if the ladies just came to the door and advised that they were closed or could not process anything on a Saturday, but playing rude and childish games cost them any future business from my family as well as ensuring that I will recommend other offices to everyone I know.
