I have an autoimmune disorder that causes very dry eyes. I used to be so stressed with eye pain and inflammation. After going to two other so-so opthamologists who just told me to use over the counter drops, I asked my primary care who the best eye guy in town is. He recommended Dr. B, stating "every one of my colleagues seems to think this guy is brilliant, give him a try". He is brilliant, great at punctal plugs if you have dry eyes, very astute, and willing to try multiple approaches until you come to the right solution. Even more, he is so very kind, compassionate, and he really listens. He has one so many "best of awards"--I'm sure if you google him, all that will come up in your search. The only downside I have is that the wait is often quite long (as long as 80 minutes at the end of a busy day) before you finally see the doc, but they will take you back for your exam and intake before then. I feel like for something as precious as my eyes, I will wait for the right doc. Just take a good book!

If you have dry eye disease (or anything else), I strongly urge you to NOT waste your time, money,…read moreor put your emotional and physical wellbeing at risk by going here. The opthalmologist acts like he has NPD and verbally accosted me both in office and on the phone when I called with a question. Then his staff tried to tell me it was my fault because i "pushed him too far." All I did was ask questions so I could try to take care of myself and save my eyes and not lose my job and even more quality of life. He gaslighted, dismissed, and insulted me on the phone before I raised my voice or changed my tone at all. The guy appears to have a God complex, is extremely arrogant and its odd because he isn't even very smart or well educated on dry eyes. It felt like I had read more studies on it than he had and he gave me dangerous advice that could cause permanent damage. I saw Dr. Lifferth initially. He used a Goldmann tonometer on my already very fragile eye without numbing drops. It hurt and my eyes have been in non-stop pain and irritation since seeing him. The ophthalmologist lied and told me this cant cause damage. I called them asking if this was really what he used on me, and I had a lot of other questions too because what they wrote in my medical records was filled with inaccuracies, I wasn't given clear instructions about medication dosing (it was way different in the records than what he told me), and a other issues. I was told numerous times the office manager would call me to answer my questions. She never did. They called me 3 times within 3 hours on Monday morning and left me 3 voicemails while I was working telling me they wanted me to see their ophthalmologist. I called back after work and Angela's former kind and helpful tone had changed into short and very different. I had second thoughts about going back but unfortunately I drove over an hour, had to wait 2 hours, and then saw him. I've seen 6 eye doctors since this all started and all but the first who miadiagnosed me said I had dry eye disease from low tear production and MGD. This doctor told me I did not have dry eyes and to stop taking all my dry eye meds (tryptyr, vevye, cold compresses, night ointments) and to use only muro because he "thinks" he sees evidence of a corneal erosion, but without basement membrane dystrophy. He didn't look at any of my previous test results because he kept telling me my problem is actually LOW salt levels in my tears. Both the past osmolarity tests don't show that and that wouldn't be a cause of RCE anyway. I don't get severe pain or reflex tearing upon waking either. He told me to buy a humidifier despite my house being at 60-70% humidity naturally (I bought a hygrometer, which I tried to tell him, but good luck getting a full sentence out before he talks over you and tries to gaslight you). I'd already tried muro for weeks on my own and my eyelid is still always stuck to my eyeballs each morning. He said it takes a month to heal. Ok, but in order to heal your eye can't continue to be sticking every morning, so called to tell him it still stuck and he went off on me and said "it seems like you just don't want to believe anyone." No, I want accurate medical help. I asked if I should keep using vevye since I'd only been on it 5 days. He said I can try 5 more days if I want but if it hasn't worked by day 10, it wont. That isn't what the clinical trials, medication leaflet or other doctors say. If you want a doctor who doesn't lose his mind if you question anything, don't see Dr. B. They are required by law to give me digital copies of my records with all imaging and the check out lady the first time refused when I asked nicely. This time, they refused again, said they sent them to my PCP so they don't have to give them to me. That's not what the law says. They also refused to refer me to another provider, the ophthalmologist said "no, I'm not referring you anywhere, don't call here again" and hung up on me. Patient abandonment without a grace period or referral is also illegal. The techs were nice to me--only positive.

I ask to be sent to Price Vision because they were at the top of the ratings in Indianapolis and she remarked that they are #1 in the nation. So, why would anyone go anywhere else? I have had both eyes done by Dr. Carli, one in November 2023 and the other December. The staff is amazing, although at times you see a full waiting room they move quickly and give individual care for each patient not rushing to get to the next one. You know when they are with you that they care about you as a person and patient. The people in the surgery department are very attentive and you know that you are getting great care when there as well. I have had no "floaters" are issue of any kind as of January 10, 2024. I drove almost 2 hours each way because of Price Vision's ratings and feedback. MY husband had his done in Kokomo and has had issues with floaters and that is why I chose Price Vision. Dr Price is always in the background overseeing and although I did not get the pleasure of meeting him, he did some awesome things for me. Thanks to the entire staff and Doctor's that never stop at Price Vision. As far as some complaints about wait time, yes it was frustrating at times but for the care you get I still think it is worth the wait times for the elevated level of care you get.

A couple months after my SMILE procedure, I feel it's safe to say it's worth it!…read more Getting consultation for vision correction surgery was on my to do list for the past year or two. Good reviews and being one of the few places nearby to offer SMILE brought me to Elite. Eye charts and measurements were done during consultation in June, and questions like "Is Lasik or SMILE more advantageous for me" were covered. Procedure day came about a month later following another eye exam. A rundown of the procedure, anti anxiety medicine taken, and a few moments in a quiet room were done beforehand. After that, lay down on a medical bed, numbing eye drops, lower eyelids held, and then the machine overhead goes to work. During this time a lens goes over one eye at a time, you focus on a light for a few seconds, the machine raises and a couple wipes are done to the eye. When this was done, no pain was felt on one eye, and I only a very slight sting on the other eye while getting lasered. My vision was foggy for a while after leaving the medical bed. A few hours later following a long nap, everything looked good and clear. My night vision is still somewhat fuzzy and see some blurring around certain lights. It seems to be getting better slowly but surely though. All things considered, getting a SMILE done was a good choice, and Elite is the right place for the task. The staff are all kind, caring and enthusiastic every step of the way. The office is a relaxed environment with calm music playing and nature scenes showing on screens throughout the place. Many thanks to the staff of Elite!

I absolutely loved my LASIK experience at Elite LASIK…read more I narrowed down my search in the Indianapolis area to the top reviewed doctors around the city. After initial online consultations, it was clear that Elite was for me. Shout out to Tamika for walking me through the process, cost, and answering all of my questions at that point. She sealed the deal. Next up was an in-person visit. The worst part about this was dealing with the bright sun after my eyes were dilated - not a big deal. That day I spent time with Gabrielle, a sweet and calming presence - exactly who you want by your side. Then I met Dr Fisher, who walked me through which options were a fit for me and reviewed each of them in depth so I could make an informed decision. There was no pressure to decide anything and I went home to do more research. I ended up scheduling an appointment for LASIK. As far as timing, it was only a matter of weeks from the time I first reached out until I had my surgery. On that day, I was there for less than 2 hours and most of that was dealing with paperwork, trying to relax, and getting prepped with eye drops. My designated driver and I were in a private room with drinks, snacks, and the best dog ever if we wanted her to visit our room (of course we did). The surgeon, Dr Huang, also introduced herself before the procedure to again answer any questions I had. She has the best bedside manner - calm, confident, kind, and reassuring. She helped me feel confident in my decision. The procedure itself was very quick and, given that I had been prepped to know exactly what to expect, not scary at all. Nor was it painful. I wouldn't even call it uncomfortable, really. The numbing eye drops do wonders. I was soon sent on my way home with eye drops, a mask for sleeping, and directions to take a nap. My vision was already better, though blurry. As I woke a few hours later, I could see. That was it. I followed directions for the eye drops, drove myself to a follow-up the next morning, and was testing at 20/15 within the week. AMAZING! I have no regrets, no bad side effects (like dry eyes), and consider this life-changing. Glad I went with Elite - everyone there made it worthwhile.
