That is slightly disappointing but that's mostly because I hardly even remember how bad my vision was before.

Once qualifying, everyone in the office was hopeful with scheduling appointment for the actual surgery. They were offering a discount if you booked for the month of December, however, I was planning to be on vacation. I asked them if I pre-paid in December and scheduled for January if I could still get the discount-- which I could. They allow you to pre-pay, have payment plans, and/or can use your HSA. The procedure itself only took about 10 minutes. I have 3 great friends that have received Lasik surgery within the last 2 years-- everything they described was exactly how it went. They definitely relieved a lot of the stress that I had going into it, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't still nervous. The doctor and the techs were so kind and reassuring that I was doing a good job while the procedure was going on. Once the procedure was done, I was able to leave with sunglasses that I was advised to keep on for the first full day. Around the clock eyedrops are required for the first week and then drop to four times a day for the month. The doctor that did my LASIK called the next day to ensure I was doing OK and if I had any questions. I thought that was very nice bedside manner, and some thing that really stuck out to me. I came the next monday for my follow up appointment and everything went well. Currently seeing 20/15 vision. All of my friends that I knew that got Lasik all said the same thing - - that they wish they got it sooner. Now I can actually understand what they mean. If any of my fellow Yelpers are curious to know anything else, feel free to private message me on Yelp and I'd be happy to answer any questions that I can! 10/10 recommend.

I was offered financing for my LASIK surgery through Greenberg LASIK using Alphaeon Credit. I…read moresigned all documents in the office and was told I had two years to pay the balance interest-free, and that interest would begin only after those two years if a balance remained. What I was not told was that if the balance was not paid in full within two years, I would be charged all of the back interest from the previous two years. For example, my two-year promotional period ended in December 2026. At that time, I had a remaining balance of about $600 and believed I was nearly finished paying it off. I assumed I would only be responsible for one month of interest going forward. However, when I attempted to make a payment one month after the two-year deadline, my balance had jumped to approximately $2,700 due to retroactive interest charges. I contacted the credit card company and asked if they could offer any grace or allow me to pay the December balance if they would waive the retroactive interest. I was told there was nothing they could do. This financing was extremely misleading. After working responsibly for two years to pay this off, I am now facing a balance I cannot afford because critical details were not clearly explained. This feels like very poor and deceptive business practice.

Greenberg was recommended by my optometrist (along with PriceVision) for quality, trustable Lasik…read morein Indy. I also got a consultation with LasikPlus, but ultimately went with Greenberg because: (1) Their customer service and staff are top notch. It's cool that almost everyone in the office has personally gotten Lasik done, so they're very familiar with the process. They're fast, kind, and super willing to answer questions. They even endorsed PriceVision as a good second option place! So I felt they're honest and trustworthy. (2) It is clear that making patients comfortable is a priority for them. They provide Valium before the procedure (LasikPlus does not), give you stress balls during the procedure (small thing but thoughtful), and give you very useful sleeping goggles in addition to sunglasses (LasikPlus was only giving sunglasses to sleep in too). It's scary to have your vision worked on, so the thoughtfulness in patient care was reassuring. (3) They were the significantly cheaper than other places in town. They're also willing to price match. It's an expensive procedure if your vision is pretty bad -- so this is definitely a major point. Technology and skill wise, I think any major Lasik place in Indy will probably do a great job. I almost went with LasikPlus because of their national lifetime guarantee (which is a huge plus if you don't plan on living in Indianapolis forever). But Greenberg still gives a lifetime guarantee. Only negative I will say is when you sign up for a consultation, the last room is signing up for an appt and paying up front. If you're truly just going to see if you qualify and what it'll cost, this may feel a little pushy. Just remember, you don't *have* to schedule that day & definitely don't need to pay that day.

My first operation the drops I was supposed to put in my eye was missing one that Dr. David Price forgot to give me. My right eye was the first for the Cataract surgery. Nothing was put in the IV stabbed in my arm. While operating I experienced pain told him, he said give him some fentanyl. Started again more pain gave me some more. After surgery he tells me that my retina was detaching itself. I'm thinking maybe that's why I felt the pain. I now have a smoky cloud in my eye and it's spreading and was told to put eye drops in twice a day till August. So mean while my right eye doesn't have 20/20 like it's supposed to be. Can't wear my glasses because I can't see out of my right eye through the lens. I'm a Marine Corp Veteran maybe that's his problem. I still have another eye to go.

That may be because all they hire is thin, attractive 20 somethings that have no idea about customer service. I was scheduled for surgery tomorrow and they canceled me! The scheduler called for a post op follow up. After that was done I complained that I didn't even have my surgery time. They expect their patients to drop everything the day before surgery and come running when they figure out how many cattle they can run through for maximum profits. So, this irritated Ms Jr Miss and she became even ruder than before. I said "I'm just asking you to pass it on to management, you don't have to be a bitch about it. It wasn't 10 minutes later and I got a call from the office manager. She said I needed to come in that day to talk to Dr Price about the way I had treated his employee or they wouldn't do the surgery. It was like being called to the principals office. They didn't bother to even ask my side of the story. Of course I refused, so they canceled me after being scheduled and pre-paying. In hindsight I'm glad it was called off. If they are this unprofessional on the business side I don't want to trust my eyes to them in the operating room. I post this knowing that same rude office manager is going to post some polite reply for the sake of public image. She'll politely post it when she didn't give me the time of day one on one. I wonder if Dr Price has the sack to call me or better yet, come to my office. Just remember doc, what goes around, comes around.

I arrived at 1:20 for a 1:30 appointment, allowing myself an hour for time and wasn't told until I went to the receptionist desk at 2:20 to inquire that there was an emergency appointment that morning. When I asked the receptionist why she didn't notify me of this earlier by phone or at least when I walked in she became very cold and rude and told me I could reschedule. To be honest, after thinking about this I will be finding a new doctor. It does seem that every time I go into the Carmel office there are delays of at least thirty minutes and an air of snobbery. I also don't like the way they speak to elderly patients, impatient and abrupt on a few of my visits now. My time is also valuable. I didn't even receive an apology. After 4 years as a patient I will unfortunately be seeking another provider. I was treated as if I didn't matter because losing me is no big deal - they have plenty of patients. I felt so disrespected and it seems to be a pattern with the office staff.

I am in my seventies and an have worn glasses since 4th grade and gone through numeral eye exams, I must say this time was the best. Although the exams was very good, the service was very poor. When ordering my glasses I was told that I would receive a summary of my exam via email. That never happened. I only received the summary after I contacted my eye care person. It took several days after that for me get my summary. I was told my glasses would be in in 2 weeks, but they were not. After 3 weeks I called inquiring about the glasses. I was put on hold and waited for some time. The person came back to the phone and asked me for some personal information, and I was put on hold again. That person came back and let me know that my glasses were in and told me the they had not been displayed yet. I asked her how long that had been at the shop she implied, for some time. I think I finally found my go-to place to see an optometrist and get glasses!…read more It all started with me visiting on a whim when I needed my glasses adjusted. I wasn't even a patient of theirs, and they adjusted my glasses for free (and with a smile). So I told myself that when I needed an eye checkup and to buy some new specs, I'd go here. Cut to months later. I visited to get an annual eye exam and look for glasses. The optometrist I saw, Dr. Fiechter, was SO professional and nice, and took the time to explain the intricacies of my eye health to me -- no eye doctor had ever done that before. She even showed me images of the back of my eye, and explained what we were looking at. She wasn't just going through the motions. I wasn't planning on getting my eyeglasses here, but this place has so many different brands and styles of glasses that I ended up finding the perfect pair here. My glasses were ready a whole week earlier than scheduled, which was just perfect. I can't recommend Progressive Eyecare and Eyewear enough!
