All of this was very important to me- I've had emergency eye surgery for a rare glaucoma and I don't take lightly who I see for my eyes! The office staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to see! The technology they've invested in is fantastic. The Dr. was excellent! She listened, gave great advise (saving me from future trauma even), and then went above and beyond to order me trial contact lenses- What I absolutely loved was not only that the service and care was wonderful, but I got those trials in exactly a week and all I needed to do was swing by and pick them up. I went to pick up my new lenses for my glasses today after waiting over two weeks for the new lenses to be done. Erica told me the lenses did not fit my glasses and they had to be retraced in order for a new set of lenses to be ordered, which is going to take another two weeks!! Why was this not done correctly the first time??!!! Last year, I had to get a new set of glasses and lenses and the lab scratched my lenses and I had to wait about three and a half weeks to get the glasses!! When I did finally get the glasses, the lenses were scratched up!! I had to get the lenses fixed again!! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! The only reason I am still coming here is because of Dr. Megan Avilia, the optometrist. She is delightful and a pure joy to be around. Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to find another optometrist. I am not going to put up with this anymore. The location needs to find new professional staff to work in the lab who know what they are doing. I would not recommend this particular location for your vision care. Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Upon entry you are given a drink menu ranging from alcoholic drinks to different coffee beverages, and are made sure that you are comfortable until seen for your eye exam or styling appointment. I had a very smooth and positive eye exam! I was also fitted for contacts for the first time today, and left with so much confidence on what to do and how to use them. They ensured a proper fit, that I had a good technique on how to get them in/out, and helped me practice multiple times before leaving. They also were able to replace my current glasses lenses (not purchased from Alternate View) which was so nice! I genuinely don't have one negative experience from my visit, which is so rare! I'm also happy to report that everyone was so wonderful with my professionally trained service dog. They welcomed me & my pup with such warmth, and accommodated us in each room we entered throughout my appointment. Though it's never easy having a dog enter a small business, they were so wonderful!
