All of this was very important to me- I've had emergency eye surgery for a rare glaucoma and I don't take lightly who I see for my eyes! The office staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to see! The technology they've invested in is fantastic. The Dr. was excellent! She listened, gave great advise (saving me from future trauma even), and then went above and beyond to order me trial contact lenses- What I absolutely loved was not only that the service and care was wonderful, but I got those trials in exactly a week and all I needed to do was swing by and pick them up. I walked in without an appointment and was greeted with great customer service, and the fast, knowledgeable assistance. I was in and out within 30 minutes, with clear expectations of when to expect my glasses I was also able to call back in the office to have a team member help update an invoice for me so I could submit to my FSA - this was done over the phone, and she immediately offered solutions instead of excuses.

This creates an environment that is hard to find these days, leaving you feeling amazing afterward and inspired to keep it going in your next environment. You do have to schedule far in advance for a Saturday spot, but it's worth it for me. They also have a few locations all around town. I go to the Carmel location. I can't comment on how long my waits have been, because I am always browsing their optical selection and trying on glasses while I wait. They have a GREAT selection of glasses from all of my favorite brands. They are also continuously updating their stock of glasses so they always have the latest styles. At the website, I request an appointment, include my insurance info, and then don't receive any confirmation at all (strike two). Couple of weeks later, I call the office to confirm since I hadn't heard from them AT ALL and left a message. Two days later someone called at 8 AM but didn't leave a voicemail. Still no confirmation. I call back and finally get a human that confirms my appointment. A week before my appointment, I receive AT LEAST five calls from an unknown number reminding me of my appointment, and requesting insurance information via phone. I call, get stuck in their call routing software, leave a message, and no one ever calls back. The day of my appointment, I drive 40 minutes to the office for them to tell me that Dr Mann had an emergency and I should have received a call. There was a call from an unknown number, but there was no message. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

I went to pick up my new lenses for my glasses today after waiting over two weeks for the new lenses to be done. Erica told me the lenses did not fit my glasses and they had to be retraced in order for a new set of lenses to be ordered, which is going to take another two weeks!! Why was this not done correctly the first time??!!! Last year, I had to get a new set of glasses and lenses and the lab scratched my lenses and I had to wait about three and a half weeks to get the glasses!! When I did finally get the glasses, the lenses were scratched up!! I had to get the lenses fixed again!! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! The only reason I am still coming here is because of Dr. Megan Avilia, the optometrist. She is delightful and a pure joy to be around. Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to find another optometrist. I am not going to put up with this anymore. The location needs to find new professional staff to work in the lab who know what they are doing. I would not recommend this particular location for your vision care. You will not get your glasses done correctly the first time around!! Find another place!

Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable, and there were a lot of tests conducted and I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything extra or get something I didn't need. They gave me a free sample of eye drops and also in the eye exam found an issue with my eye that I've never even been aware of and recommended how to treat it so I'm really happy. Paid extra for the wider field of vision and the field of vision is still so narrow that I can't turn my head in the slightest before everything goes out of focus. I have now gone somewhere else and much happier with the lenses. My guess is they have a cheap lens grinding machine that just does a terrible job at getting a prescription right.
