So glad they followed up with great care after the mix up, I wanted to update my review for the positive. I got poked in the eye by my son and tried to call the on call doctor. They informed me that it would be $169 just to be connected to the on call doctor. I find this to be absolutely absurd that for an eye emergency I can't even talk to someone. What absolutely terrible customer service, I have never once had to pay in order to talk to someone for an eye emergency. Shocking, beware if you're thinking of becoming a patient there, hope you never need someone after hours.

So I called at 2 weeks later and the lady said I picked them up already which I didn't. Then she needed to check on them, called me back and said they were correct the first time, which they weren't. I couldn't read a thing once I put them on. So I asked to speak to Doctor Avilla and she said he doesn't speak to customers. That is very poor customer service when you have a question on your eyes you need to speak to the Doctor who did the exam. She then says to make another appointment. That was the wrong answer. They have totally lost a great long term customer along with 5 other people that I have talked to about this situation. All I asked for was to speak to the Doctor which isn't allowed per that location. Again very poor customer service.

Dr. Judson Avila was wonderful and took good care of me and explained everything to me throughout the exam. The whole staff was wonderful and greeted me with extreme professionalism and kindness as soon as I walked in the door. The technician took me to get my eyes checked and she was a spitfire with a great personality. Buffy, who handled my new prescription and glasses, was a great help in helping me pick out my new glasses and explained everything to me very clearly. The whole appointment lasted 30 minutes, which was quick and easy, so that is another bonus!! I can definitely say I am happy with this new MyEyeDr location and the staff are much better and professional than the staff at the Carmel location. The ambiance is better and more attractive looking than the Carmel location. As long as everything goes well with my new glasses from their lab, and arrives on time for me to pick up at the location, then I am a happy man and will continue to come to this MyEyeDr location for my annual eye exam. We only brought enough of his multifocal contacts for the original duration of our trip (plus a few but not enough for the whole extended trip). Our home location could not overnight contacts, so I googled Treehouse Eyes in Indiana and found VisionQuest. They were so kind and did everything they could to accommodate getting contacts for my son. I believe Jennifer is who I was communicating with while navigating the process. My mom and son went to pick up the contacts and came back saying how incredibly nice everyone was. I am truly grateful. Thank you.

I went to pick up my new lenses for my glasses today after waiting over two weeks for the new lenses to be done. Erica told me the lenses did not fit my glasses and they had to be retraced in order for a new set of lenses to be ordered, which is going to take another two weeks!! Why was this not done correctly the first time??!!! Last year, I had to get a new set of glasses and lenses and the lab scratched my lenses and I had to wait about three and a half weeks to get the glasses!! When I did finally get the glasses, the lenses were scratched up!! I had to get the lenses fixed again!! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! The only reason I am still coming here is because of Dr. Megan Avilia, the optometrist. She is delightful and a pure joy to be around. Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to find another optometrist. I am not going to put up with this anymore. The location needs to find new professional staff to work in the lab who know what they are doing. I would not recommend this particular location for your vision care. You cannot help but look. It is on the front of the building and wraps around both sides. It was painted in 2016 and is the work of Justin Oloson of Olson Studios. The right side of the mural depicts a close up of a bright blue-eyed person with glasses on set against a colorful wavy background. The front has the building's address hidden into an eye chart and a brown eyed man with glasses on and the colorful waves behind the eye chart and to the mans right. The left side of the building has a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman, yep, you guessed it, with eye glasses, looking at the colorful waves that are in front of her. I like the colors used in the mural. The colorful waves contrast very well with the background. And even though it is somewhat basic, the artwork is on point, Olson is very talented. The mural is in excellent shape and looks pretty fresh. Parking here to get a closer look is pretty simple. You can pull into the clinic's parking lot or snag a free spot on the street, get out and look as long as your heart desires. I just parked on the street in front of the clinic. Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip.

He remembers details about me and checks in on a personal level during the exam and truly listens to my concerns. I don't feel like they pressure you to buy an expensive pair of new glasses just because you're there, which I can't say for some other places I've gone. The rest of the staff is also SO friendly and they make the visit fun. There is a huge selection of very cool frames with a good price range. Glasses can be expensive anywhere you go, but you can get a nice pair here reasonably priced or you can get pricier designer frames, as well. I have done both and been satisfied. I love it here!
