An eye exam was scheduled for my daughter but not told to us there was not a Dr on site (she was on a 2 month vacation) After arriving for the appointment, I stated my daughter could not have the Glaucoma test due to health issues. The examiner stated she couldn't waive that or do the exam without the test without a Dr's approval. She stated there was no one to call for approval. We had to cancel the appointment which caused great stress on my daughter and now she has to have another appointment with a different Dr. It seems irresponsible to me to not have a Dr available. read more

I called the phone number on the website and asked if they had same day service for progressive lenses. I thought I was talking to the person in the store. I was told that they did. After arriving at the store and getting a eye exam over the internet no doctor in office I found out my glasses would take 2 weeks. I am only in Amarillo 2 days this doesn't work for me. The staff told me I called a call center in another county. Very disappointing company's do business this way. read more

Worst optical I have ever been to.DO NOT GO IN THERE!! They have no dr all is done over a web cam. The first test they gave me wrong prescription. So I had to so it again a week later. Ordered lenses and a pair of sunglasses. Lenses were fine... sunglasses not really. I have had to come in like 7 times. First I ordered gradient brown polar glasses because they said I could 1 month later I went into an optical next to my job and was informed there is no such thing as gradient polarized lenses and was told my lenses were not polorized.. went back into staton and they were like oh yeah sorry no that cant be done pick one.. I asked fo just get refunded polorized was told no refunds could be made so I told them well give me the polorized lenses.. 6 weeks later I get lenses.. they are the wrong rx.. so I tell them I get deemed an idiot.. I again go to another optical that runs a test on lenses and sure enough the rx is wrong.. I go back with the report.. oh yeah sorry they are wrong let's order the right ones.. that was like 6 weeks ago I hadn't heard anything so I went in.. maybe they forgot to call me.. nope I walk in and I'm told oh sorry no one ever ordered the lenses.. WTF!! As this point I don't care about the damn sunglasses it's been 4 months since the first order.. while I was there a guy and wife were arguing because the employee was adjusting glasses and he cracked the lense.. and was saying it was going to take 7 days for replacements.. drama followed.. finally they got a refund I got a refund and moved on with my life without sunglasses.. I felt bad for the new manager to a degree because I feel like they aren't trained good enough and honestly it's a cluster f*** in there.. read more

Were friendly and helpful in store. But couldn't get glasses made that day told me they'd be there for in 2 days by ups which would have been Saturday. I called them Monday and they said the glasses were still in the store and they'd be to my house on Wednesday. I called them on Thursday and they said glasses were still in store and they won't be to my house till next Wednesday or Thursday. read more

If you need eye glasses, go somewhere else as fast as you can. Took my granddaughter in for new glasses. They gave her an exam, the results were incorrect, it showed her eyes were way better than her current prescription. We disagreed with the exam and they instructed us to have our own exam done wherever we wanted and they would deduct the cost from our total bill. Returned with new eye exam (yes, she needed glasses), selected frames and ordered two pair of glasses. Stated they would be ready in 8-10 days, we would get a call. 14 days later we called them, was informed one pair was in, but 2-3 more days for the other pair. Went to the store, asked for a complete refund, was told could only receive a partial refund. When I asked for a copy of their refund policy, the assistant went to the back and returned 10 minutes later, informed me they did not have a copy of their refund policy but would give me a full refund anyway. I went in for a contact prescription and I guess the ladies up front didn't have a clue of what they were doing. I was pulled into the exam room like 3 times because they forgot to do an exam, then they did an exam with the lights on when it should have been done with lights off. Anyway almost 2 hours later I walked out with no contacts and the prescription they gave me was not for contacts. This is my third time here not by choice though. I brought my mother for glasses and the first tine it was confusing no one helped us or told us how this process works, when we picked up her glasses they pu the wrong prescription in the wrong eye( left prescription on right eye and right prescription on left eye) so we had to come back again to send them back to their lab to get them fixed. Well we got them back and the prescription was not strong enough so we had to go back and as we talk to them they told us that the problem was that the prescription was in the wrong side, as we told them that we had already fixed that before they looked at us like we were stupid and we didn't know what we were taking about so I told the young lady again slowly that we had that problem. Before and we had come in before to fix it and they already fixed the problem of the switched prescription but now the problem was that the prescription was not strong enough so after checking they said we needed it a re test. So we said let's do it. It was a Monday and may be two other customers in the store but they managed to have us wait one hour and a half for a retest, I forgot to mention the first time they did not even wipe down the equipment and my mother had to with it down her self with tissue because she said the equipment was greasy. The staff kept gossiping and to feel comfortable they would go into exam room one and close the door to talk to each other, mean while other customer was just standing there waiting for help and no one was available. The customers asked me how long was I waiting and I told her it's been more than an hour and she ask about who does the exam so I told her it's through a video conference because there is no professional on site as most appointments are with a person on a screen, her turn comes up and she comes with an excuse as she doesn't feel comfortable continuing with her appointment and she leaves, by this tune we are alone in the store so I figured it was our turn for our retest but then staff felt that instead of helping us it was more important to go meet in exam room one to talk about the customer that left by this time I was really upset but did not wanna cause a scene as I was with my mother, finally it was our turn, I think they really need to have a manager or supervisor on site to keep an eye on employees or even get new ones, this location has very bad customer service and is not professional at all, it makes you feel like you are in a classroom with new students learning to do their job. It's amazing when they gave me the total price for the glasses they were so fast to swipe my credit card yet when we need help with the glasses just to get the right prescription they make us wait as if we were getting some free service I mean we are paying customers and I just hate that they make me feel like I'm begging for a service. Please train your staff better or at least have someone looking over these people, remember customer service is what we pay fore but we get none . Great companies have great customer service But here we don't even get an apology for all the mistakes, the test is done and they makes us go to the show floor and two employees are on the phone just chatting away, I can assure you this is the last time we come here or even recommend this place. read more

My brother needed new glasses, so thought we would try Stanton. BIG MISTAKE. Made him an appt, arrived for appt about 20 min early, waited over an hour past his appt. Then we had to fill out his info on the computer ourselves. Continue waiting, finally exam, then went to pick out his frames, waited another hour for clerk to finish with another customer and wait on people getting exams. Finally the asst mgr comes to work and waited on us. So then she starts the order, 2 glasses, bifocal, with 1 pair transition, $880.00. Talk about sticker shock! Decided on just 1 pair, she said she would throw in the second pair at no extra charge. $484.00 later was told it would be 7-10 days ready. 4 weeks later we finally get a call to pick up glasses. Go in, clerk said we had a balance to pay, NOPE, now they wanted an addition $400. Both glasses were transitions and the bifocal line was in direct line with his line of vision. She offered to send them back in and have them redone. NOT NO, BUT HELL NO! Got a refund for the glasses and went directly over to Eyemart Express, $350, 2 pairs of glasses and will be done today. Never again Stanton Optical. They are the not worth the time. read more
