Every single one of these doctors treat us like we are part of their family. When I bring my two boys in for a visit, Dr. Thompson brings all three of us in to the exam room so that we can all be together. It gets loud and she doesn't even flinch. My youngest son has Type 1 Diabetes and she takes extra time to carefully check his eyes -- always keeping his heath at the top of her priorities. It's always a treat to go see Dr. Thompson! I have a neurological condition that makes eye exams require extra care and attention. It also requires great patience on behalf of the staff as I have to take brief breaks in order to proceed to prevent seizures and neurological burnt out. I left this office feeling so immensely cared for, understood and respected. They seemed to have an understanding beyond expectation of the needs of individuals with conditions like mine. I HIGHLY recommend! If they treated me and my children this well I imagine this is the norm for this office. My twin 10 year olds also had eye exams and one of my daughters has extreme anxiety with doctors and they were so empathetic and patient! I WOULD NOT GO HERE IF THEY WERE THE LAST OPTICAL SHOP IN TEXAS. I was shopping for an optometrist. I had some questions. They refused to answer ANY of my questions and were very rude. I was a real customer. After that, I went to three other Optimistrists and I paid money at two of them. I want to make more purchases at all three. But I would have nothing to do with these rude people who do not actually like customers. read more

Dr. Jack Thomas is our regular eye doctor and is informative, caring and always willing to answer questions. We never feel rushed or hurried through the process. I had to locate a new optometrist after over 25 years. This place was amazing! Very nice and prompt service!

The first prescription was no good, so I went back to get it fixed. It seems the doctor was reluctant to help, considering him being impatient and rude, and rushing me the whole time. More offensively, the doctor had a lot of unfriendly comments on my race and my career. Insults set aside, the doctor was not too good at his job either. First he failed to diagnose my astigmatism. And while changing lenses, the doctor constantly accused me being unresponsive. Well if I can see clear why would I need new glasses? Finally when the prescription was fixed, I asked if they offer temporary glasses for patients to try out (some other places offer this, and I just want to be sure about the prescription because I don't want to come back to this place again), I got a cold-hard no and told to go elsewhere. We have ALWAYS had the best of care here. Dr. Heidi is awesome and makes sure we get a thorough checkup. I have diabetes and it's paramount my eyes are checked regularly. And regarding the review by Jeannie R. Sloan Rush is NOT a doctor with Advanced Eye Care. That's a completely different office. read more

We went to Advanced for the first time today. The appointment was for my 14 year old son. He was brought back quickly for his appointment, but at no point was I notified that once the exam was over. They let him pick out glasses with no knowledge about them. My husband I were left completely left in the dark until we had to pay for his visit. We have no idea what these glasses look like or their quality and it will be 2 weeks before they are even ready. I feel they treated my 14 year old as an adult without letting his parents make any decisions regarding the product WE were paying for. The receptionist at check out offered no explanation or details about what was happening. They just took our money without any explanation of the procedure or product of which we were paying for. Bottom line minors should not be making financial decisions and we should have had more insight to what was happening with our son. read more

Do not go to this place, they rip you off! They will tell you you owe X amount of money, you pay it then a week later they tell you they screwed up your claim and you owe more money, Very rude people and they make you wait a long time even with an appointment.
