We were excited although not wowed by our visit. It was crowded on Saturday morning with no problem being seated right away. Service was quick, pleasant and attentive. Breakfast wasn't remarkable. I expected my scramble to have two eggs but I'm pretty sure they skimped on them. The coffee server was very friendly and always passing by and asking if we wanted coffee. It was nice at first but then it became an every 30 second annoyance. We couldn't help but laugh. They had a good amount of seating. I'm thinking we just didn't order the right items. We would give it another chance.

On my way back from Eureka work trip back to the Bay Area. Great Diner, food and customer service. I would save this spot for future reference, no need to go anywhere else. Perfect midway road stop. I ordered chicken fried steak, side French toast and coffee.

0 stars I understand the prices increase due to the cost of food However when you are given small portion at these price for Mediocre food The omelet was so small The pancakes were dried The biscuits and gravy were not good they definitely tasted like store bought gravy For the toast that comes with the breakfast one slice of toast at these prices is unreasonable The French toast was bland I came to this restaurant a couple years ago and it has definitely changed If you are going to have high prices ,the quality of the food should at least be good I do not like writing negative reviews But I don't want other people to have this experience and still have to pay unreasonable prices for mediocre food

Love this place! We found this place 15 years ago on our way to Eureka from the Bay Area and have stopped by again and again over the years. The food is consistently delicious and we always leave satisfied and knowing we will be back again next trip. The menu is perfect for all diets. They have gluten free pancakes, waffles, and French toast. My teenager has celiac and it's so hard to get a decent waffle and a decent price. Only $1.50 to make it gluten free versus a usual $3-4 up charge every where else. The waffle was thick, but not dense and rubbery like other gluten free waffles he's had. We all shared a bite and were impressed with how delicious it was. My husband always orders chicken fried steak every where we go but never actually loves it. He loves it here! Not greasy, the meat tastes good, and he kept commenting on how good the gravy was. I think he found a new favorite. I love that I can order veggie sausage. I usually just get eggs toast and hash browns. The sausage is good and tastes even better with a little maple syrup. Their bacon is thick and salty. Definitely not going to walk away hungry with any dish you order. Coffee is delicious too and they offer vanilla creamer which is always a plus in my book! Service is friendly and quick! The restaurant is smaller so not ideal for large groups just walking in probably. I'd definitely try to call ahead. It's cute and cozy and features local artist's work for sale. If you're going through Uriah make sure to stop. There's a nearby Tesla charging station too with walking distance and adorable shops to look in. It's located right downtown.

I have eaten at Stan's everytime I am in Ukiah overnight. The comfortable atmosphere, the fact that nearly everyone in the restaurant not only seems to be a local, but a regular, and above all the friendliness of the staff make it an irresistible choice; no matter that there are several fine places in town. Today's breakfast was no exception: I love that they keep the coffee coming. I love the light, fluffy scrambled eggs... which the cook always customizes for me by adding cheddar cheese and onions... but most of all I love that they serve veggie 'sausages'! I have to go down that way in a few months. It will, as always, be a perfect start to my drive home

Issuing a rare 5 stars here, but The Beehive is truly special…read more On our low-stimulus, off-the-grid vacation, a trip down from the mountain had us stop in for a late lunch/early dinner right at 4pm. We couldn't have prepared for the quality, and memorable nature of the meal we were served. Cannot recommend this enough for readers. Arrival and Seating: First, the welcome was warm and the service attentive--even at the start of the shift with a lightly-staffed crew. We were greeted in a warm manner by a fellow wearing a SF Giants cap (always a good sign), and invited to choose our table. We sat indoors on a warm day (it was about 95ºF) window-side, and enjoys wicker and bee-themed decor. The chairs had a relaxed shape that had me slouching (in comfort) immediately. Drinks: As I was driving, my partner ordered to his palate--which included two mezcal drinks. The first was the Tropical Storm, which had a great balance of passionfruit, pineapple and lime against a well chosen mezcal--smoky, but not acrid as can sometimes burden the spirit. The second bevvy was the She Devil and was a spirit-forward drink combining smoky mezcal and Xila with herbaceous Strega and Aperol (or Amaro in course case), balanced against lime. All delicious, as I confirmed with poison-tester sips. Tapas: We compared the tuna; on the Smoky Ahi Tuna, the flavor of mezcal was incredibly unique; on the Chicharrón de Aton, the texture of the fried tuna was nice and chewy, along with a spicy Fresno chili garnish. Entrees: My partner had the burger, which was juicy and served evenly cooked for medium--which we found desirable. An unlikely star on the plate, however, was the papayas braves substituted as a side. Their sweet berry glaze (blackberry?) made them almost like candy, and was perfectly balanced with a chèvre aioli. I went with the Chicken Poblano Pasta (never had fettuccine with corn sauce, I thought), and whoo boy was I in for a treat. The sauce was verdant on account of the poblano pepper, which lent a great flavor. Balanced against it was the corn, which was both grounding and provided a pesto-like texture. It was a hearty proportion with the large grilled chicken breast, but we came hungry and I left no crumbs. Last Thoughts This modest little restaurant in a modest little Northern California town was so good it became a memorable experience in itself on our modest little vacation. We left content (and full), and feeling good. I hope you have a chance to stop in, and leave feeling the same.
