The dealership then told us about the price which was beyond our budget and decided not to proceed. I was hesitant to go to Ford directly, and saw the good reviews for Paton's, so I called them first. I was prepared to pay around $7000 (money I certainly did not want to spend, but assumed I would have to) to get the transmission replaced. I believe Rick answered the phone, but whomever it was basically said to me "Look, I have heard your story before - as much as I want your business, take the car to the Ford Dealer. There is a strong possibility it's covered under warranty.". Well, sure enough - took the car to the Ford dealer, and the entire transmission was replaced for free under warranty. THIS is how you build trust, by being honest and instead of just taking the money I assumed I would have to spend, by pointing me in the right direction. This practice doesn't seem trust worthy and I feel like they could easily take advantage of someone. I was very disappointed to say the least. Meineke is a bad vibe.

My daughter bought a car from a dealer and when she drove it off the lot she found out the back suspension wasn't attached to the frame so we brought it back and they told us to pound sand (as is) well Gabriel wrote a nice letter and the dealership started to be really nice to me and refund my money. When you find a mechanic like him you keep him. Just hope this rating doesn't hurt me seeing him if I need service.
