Been going here for years. They can be a slow. I think it's time to find a new oil change facility. Open at 8am. I got here before 8 in hopes to get out quicker. Was 1st in line. Workers sitting in a car listening to music til after 8am. I finally see them inside. They didnt let me in til 8:28. Apparantly the manger overslept and they couldn't get the systems up and running. They never came out to tell me anything. No apology when I got in. Nada. The lack of communication and apology for wait helped make my decision to take my business elsewhere going forward. read more

I gave my granddaughter my car. She brought it to grease lightning to get an oil change at the next oil change. I took her to my regular mechanic to get a tuneup and an oil change. When he went to do the oil change he found out that the previous person who changed the oil stripped out the bolt in the oil pan it ended up costing me money to get the oil pan in the now I'm trying to call them to make them aware of what has happened and their phone number constantly goes to voicemail one time they even took it off the hook and left it sitting there with me on the phone and never answered. I can't even tell them what happened so now I drive there to let them know. I wouldn't take my car here. read more

Had a complete oil change on Saturday. The following Tuesday on my way home from work, my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree alerting me that my engine was over heating. Also got an alert from On Star that there was a problem with my transmission. Thankfully I was pulling into my neighborhood when this occurred . I immediately called Greased Lightening asking if I could bring the car in. I was told to call a mechanic, that they just pulled their last car of the day in. I asked about the next day & was told "like I said you need to call a mechanic" Do I have proof they failed to refill or completely refill all the fluids? No. But it's pretty ironic that prior to bringing my car there. I had zero issues. And after... I had to purchase a new car. Beware!! read more

I've been taking my vehicles there for about 2-3 years. In the past two months all three have had their check engine light come on. All with the same code. Guy on phone (5stars) said oil change was $25 since I was binging in my own synthetic oil and filter, he also added I could get a $5 off since I was a 1st time customer. I mentioned I have a YELP coupon for $7. "Sure! We just need to see it." The "mechanics" (also 5stars) were good, polite and fast enough. When I tried redeeming my YELP coupon a different person (manager? Negative20stars) I didn't get his name, said; "I'm sorry, that coupon is only good on full service, you didn't get full service." I stood my ground that the coupon says nothing of the sort. Also, the gentleman on the phone said to just show the coupon. The (manager??) walked away to supposedly speak with someone else, returned and reluctantly accepted with a stern warning. like I was getting away with genocide. Okay...... Quick oil change. It's a little more expensive than most places, but I think it's a little more because of the convenience aspect of it. I walked in at 5:05 pm, and left a little more than 15 mins later. That's with two cars ahead of mine! Most places I've gone I've had to wait 35 min to an hour (or more!) Expect the staff to ask you about oil preferences (brand vs generic) and show you your oil levels upon completion. I had been putting off my oil change due to time constraints and felt bad showing up at 5 pm, an hour before closing. I asked if they can still take me and I appreciate the fact that they said the last car accepted is 10 mins to close. I'd never do that, but it's nice to know that they'd still take you (for an oil change I'm assuming). Overall, good experience! read more

Soon after leaving left front tire fell off and cost us over a $4000 in damages . They have not yet responded to us after many many attempts and when we got a response they said for us to contact a lawyer! We just wanted out damages covered . Shame on them. read more

So I usually don't complain about services rendered or lack there of. I had been coming to this place over the last few years for what I felt was a decently priced oil change. Today I had my wife go there because she needed my truck to run some errands, now keep in mind she is nine months pregnant so it's very visible at this point, she pulled around to the rear of the building and you're supposed to do, and waited for over 20 minutes got tired of that so went inside of the office, and talked to someone in there about how long it would be for an oil change. They told her over an hour, (8am) because there was only two people on staff at the time. They asked her why she didn't pull to the rear. She said that she waited 20 minutes back there,and then she was told she didn't wait long enough. They have never tried to upsell me, they are so quick, it's always the same guys that work here, chairs and wait room are super comfortable and clean. Never had to wait. Stopped in about 40 min before close to see if they had an opening for a quick oil change. Was ready to say I was willing and able to bring it back one of the next two days if it was more convenient. They said they would take me, but the mechanic on duty was copping attitude from the jump and through the entire transaction. All but rushed me out the door before I could even inquire about new wipers. As a first time customer this left me with a bad first impression. Be careful of this place, second time I had an issue with leaking oil. Also noticed they did not change my oil filter, just the oil. And when they did change they didn't tighten the filter or the nut tight enough causing oil to leak all over my garage and driveway two times. Going back to changing my own oil again! read more

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla. It's a pretty common car, except for the fact the oil filter needs a special attachment to remove the filter. I went on eBay and saw the filter attachment for less than 10.00. I find it hard to believe this business does not 'do' Toyota or Lexus cars because they 'can't get the filter off'. I was charged 13.95 for oil but no filter, they probably damaged the housing trying to get mine off. Totally disappointed. read more

Had gone there for oil changes and tire rotation for my 4 vehicles for several years. On a recent visit they failed to tighten front passenger side wheel after rotating and barely avoided a disaster when the dealer advised the tire was close to falling off. Ok, mistakes are made...went for an oil change on another car of mine at Grease Lightning and was told they couldn't gat the drain plug removed as it apparently was put on crooked...and a "have a nice day". Lolol, that's the only place that serviced the vehicle and they confirmed the vehicle was in their system but didn't have the tools to remove and repair. I went in for a tire repair. That actually went surprisingly well. While I was there I asked if they could flush my CVT Transmission. They said sure charged me around $115 or so, it was done in about an hour. I was happy and saved money. However, approximately three months later I found out they actually didn't flush it. I took the car to the dealer and the fluid was burned. My husband checked it as well. It had not ever been changed. I would suggest to avoid going there is you are just a woman, and dont really know what you are looking for. I probably could have caught it sooner if I had checked immediately. I won't ever go back and I caution women to be very careful. read more

I had my oil changed the day before I came to Grease lightning. The idiots at the previous place failed to do a pressure check and basically all of the oil drained out of my car. I was stranded and couldn't start my car without ruining my engine. I called grease lightning who told me to get some oil and put 2-3 quarts in to get me to their shop (it was 2.2 miles away). Fortunately my daughter was able to get the oil and put in 3 quarts. By the time I drove 2.2 miles I had no oil again. Grease lightning figured out that the gasket was broken and the previous shop cut corners n failed to pressure check it. Had they done that they would have realize the leak. Thank God for these smart and helpful gentlemen at Grease Lightning. They saved my engine. Trust me once I deal with the other place they'll get the review of a lifetime. Grease lightning was professional, helpful and thorough. Great place. I'll go back there every time I need an oil change. read more

I came here two times. First time I called before coming and was told oil change was $40. I went and was charged over $70 and was told because of the extra stuff they had done. Second time, was charged over $70 again and the girl upfront and couldn't explain and asked the technician to do so. Was told something different from the first time. Great service! Their services are first come first service, no appointments but as long as you call and see what they've got going on they seem to accommodate you well. I went in the morning and was able to get right in. And oil change was completed in less than 20 minutes along with a vacuuming and windshield washing. They checked my tire pressure and the overall maintenance of the car in general. Oil filter was replaced and they made sure to show me my oil level before pulling my car out. All for less than $40. Good local place for me to go in my hometown. Quick and efficient so I could get my day going! read more
