I guess as long as you have a fairly new vehicle they will work on it but if you have a older vehicle you will have to go somewhere else .

They quoted me $80 to have a wheel stud replaced. I called around and had it done for $15.

They advised me that to get into the trans and change that, they should replace the whole transmission for a couple hundred more, otherwise they couldn't guarantee the work. And they charged $150 for this "diagnosis". They wanted thousands of dollars for a new transmission, and I was stuck because I couldn't take the emissions test to renew my plates with a check engine light on. Brought it to Tony's Transmissions, and he replaced the sensor in a few days for a few hundred dollars. I can't remember the exact amount because I paid cash and it was about a year ago, but I just saw his business pop up when I was doing a search and remembered that I should have left him a review back then. He really did great work. Check engine light was off, car passed emissions, and we drove it for another year before selling it a friend for his teenage son. Car is still running strong.

Tony said they were backed up and I offered to drop it off early just in case Tony and team got some extra time, as the family had an urgent college move-in date to make :-) Tony and team got the sensor part in and quickly turned it around, including some Q/A to make sure it was stable. Pricing with parts and labor was very reasonable.

Terrible Experience with Firestone…read more I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Firestone regarding the repair of my vehicle. Initially, I was hopeful that they would resolve the issues I was facing, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. After bringing my car in for repair, I was assured that everything would be taken care of. However, it became clear that the service I received was subpar. They claimed to have conducted a test drive and completed the necessary repair, but my car was left in an un-drivable state. I later learned from another mechanic another place that they did not perform the repairs adequately, which has now cost me $1,400. When I approached the manager, Frank, seeking assistance and a resolution to this matter, my concerns were met with indifference. He showed no willingness to work with me or acknowledge the substandard service. As a single mom, this experience has been not only costly but also frustrating, leaving me feeling unsupported and misled. Due to this experience, I cannot recommend Firestone to anyone. Their lack of professionalism and customer service has left a lasting negative impression. ---

This location in Mokena is always over selling and padding your needs and their services. I live in Frankfort, three mile from the Mokena Firestone, but I have a more professional and pleasant experience with the Tinley Park Firestone, which is 11 miles away. I contacted corporate office in Nashville regarding the terrible customer service, as well as the padding and overselling of services from this store location. In the past 3 months, Mokena Firestone has attempted to upcharge and overselling me twice. Whereas the Tinley Park Firestone was honest and upstanding. I spent over 2,000.00 on multiple vehicles with honest Tinley Park location. Whereas Mokena wrote a quote for 5,000.00 on just 1 vehicle. Do not visit the Mokena Firestone location. Go to the Tinley Park Firestone Complete. If you have problems with any location file a complaint with the Illinois State Attorney Consumer Fraud department.

UPDATE 02.28.23 Rob reached out to make it right with us…read moreafter hearing all the troubles we've been having with our car. They offered to have our car towed to their shop at their own expense and give it a thorough engine check. We very much appreciate their solid commitment to stand behind their work. Our vehicle is still being repaired as of now but we have high hopes everything will turn out well. I'll post an update soon as we're able to drive our car again. ORIGINAL REVIEW 02.24.2023 Beware. I should have listened to my instinct with only the 2 reviews it has here. Brought our GMC to repair flat tire & check on the AC. They did some repair to get the heat going and was told it's not a good idea to check if the cold is working from the AC since it's winter and to wait til Spring. They told us alternator might need replacement for over $1500 but can wait. A day after we brought the car home after paying almost $500, engine was making sound. Called to report the problem and didn't heard back. The sound from the engine became more evident as days go by. After we brought home the car, I felt it's not the same anymore with the sounds it was making. True enough, after few more days, the 'emergency engine' safety came on while we were driving in I-355. SUV had to be towed since it won't start anymore. Mechanic from Gamboas inspected it after it was brought there and we were informed the whole engine has to be replaced. We were told oil was depleted even though the oil indicator shows 40%. Before bringing it to Gear Headz, our SUV didn't have this huge of a problem except for the flat tire we brought it in & minor concern with the AC that was still working. The ladies there were so nice though but the service work don't was questionable, on top of the high service price tag.
