This is the single best, most honest auto repair shop in Frankfort. I've taken 5 of my cars here now (we have 6 cars with 2 adults and 4 kids)... from my wife's Porsche to my F-150, Angel and his crew are just awesome. They're so honest about exactly what you need done, what you can skip that a dealer will try to sell you, and do it all at a reasonable price. Most recently, I brought in my daughter's Jeep Wrangler for an inspection before her Spring Break road trip. Besides noting it was due for brake and filter changes, Angel also noticed an oil leak. Rather than trying to gouge me for a diagnosis, he told me to take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. Sure enough, it was a damaged oil pan that had to be replaced- under my warranty. Many shops would try to quote you a price and do it, but I appreciate it when these guys tell me to take the cars to the dealers when there's a big problem. I went in a week ago after failing an emissions test. I explained the situation to Angel over the phone and he told me to come in. I just moved south a few weeks ago and I had the best mechanic where I was. I was not happy about finding a new shop as my family has 3 cars and there is always something wrong with one of them. I pulled up to A+ and Angel (Owner) greeted me with kindness. I spent over 30 minutes chatting with him about cars, life and kids. He is an incredibly honest business owner and it was clear that I found my new spot. He took care of my problem and I couldn't be happier with the result. I was very pleased with the professional service and fair price that I received at this business today. I brought in a 22 yr old Jeep with an inoperable window. It was repaired in a timely manner. There were other problems with my Jeep and I was told which ones were more urgent. I was also given a price estimate so that I could decide how much I want to spend on such an old vehicle. Since I was 18 I went to a trusted mechanic until his shop closed, now 33 I found this new shop and boy was I extremely disappointed. Took my 2015 impala into their shop for repair because my main car was totaled by a criminal in a police chase unfortunately and what I learned is that they lie and extremely overprice on parts. Took my car in because my vehicle wouldn't shut off completely and my battery would drain overnight. All they did was change both my batteries, charged me $606 for two batteries and told me my car was good. That's high for batteries and I also pre-purchased a battery just for them to tell me mine didn't fit when i know for sure it does so that's when i found out they lie for profit. After picking my car up within 5mins of driving home I had to bring it back because my lights still didn't shut off when turning the car off(didn't even fix my issue yet) luckily my wife noticed right away. Brought the car back and they rediagnosed my issue to be 1 sensor that they charged almost $300 ($150 for the sensor) to replace after falsely diagnosing my car for batteries the first time. Let's keep in mind the max price for a brake pad sensor online is $70 so they're charging me more than double max price. I tried to call the owner to voice my disappointment in paying $606 and had to bring my car back within 5mins but they were no help what's so ever and petty much said it's nothing they can do. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone and most likely never visit again myself, will shop around to neighboring mechanics with more integrity read more

Great experience at A Plus Auto Service. I took my car in for a headlight replacement. My first impression when entering the business was that it was the cleanest and most welcoming auto shop I had ever seen. Comfortable waiting area with complimentary beverages and snacks! The owner greeted me and brought my car in right away. In addition to changing the headlight, which was very reasonably priced, they did a complete diagnostic check on my vehicle and added a bit of oil...no charge! Frankfort is very lucky to have this new family owned business in town. They genuinely care about their customers. read more

I had an amazing experience here today, I needed an oil change and I was able to get in right away. The owner gave me a list of other services. My car needed and told me which ones were urgent and which ones could wait a little bit. He didn't put any pressure on me to get any additional work done on the spot he did let me know which ones would be a safety concern and suggested I get them done as quickly as I can. I really appreciate the way he handled that because I do get anxiety when I take my car in places. Again, I would highly recommend them and I plan on taking my car in again for the services he recommended and for my future oil changes.
