BLT
Bill A.

Dropped by prior to flight. Got to the Star around 9:45. I did not read the fine print on the menu but they do not serve breakfast after 9:30. No big went with the BLT. Decent BLT with plenty of bacon. Fries were ok not real crispy. Not a bad stop and convenient to the A gates.

We had dinner at Oak & Antler while visiting El Paso from Colorado, and let me tell you…read more.. everything was absolutely delicious and fantastic! We ordered the Steak Frites, Brussels sprouts, the burger, cocktails, and finished with the peach cobbler and every single thing was amazing. The food, the ambiance, the service, and the hospitality were all top-notch. Our server was wonderful, but what really made the experience stand out was how welcoming everyone was. The owner stopped by our table to say hello and ask how we were enjoying everything, and even brought us some shots. The chef also came out to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. Those little personal touches made the experience feel so special. We were visiting from Colorado, and honestly, this was probably one of the highlights of our trip! There's just something so enjoyable about great food, good conversation, and meeting wonderful locals along the way. I'm not sure when, or if we'll make it back to El Paso, but I would absolutely come back just to eat here again. If you're in the area, you truly can't go wrong with Oak & Antler!

Oh gosh where to start???? The decor is awesome. The…read morehospitality beats that, and the bev and food beats all!! So I say "bev & food," because the beverages come first. I had a watermelon, mint and tequila cocktail that was as advertised, "summer in a glass!" The comes a braised short rib and Oregon Pinot Noir - both to die for. The puree under the ribs and pumpkin seeds made all the textures and tastes wonderful. (And shame on me. I was so excited by that plate I forgot to take a picture!!) Nooow add in my server, Solomon, and it's nearly a party! But then... here comes the Chef to check on me, and his name?? FREEDOM!! Just soak that in! This is a can't miss spot if you're in El Paso.

If it's not too busy, the staff are usually very personal / happy to talk to you. - Great vibes - my favorite is usually the main tiki room and its booths, but the outside patio can be really nice as well - Food - portion sizes vary a good bit, so I recommend telling the how hungry you are and/or asking about portions. If you have the right expectations, I think you'll enjoy the food. I've liked all the food I've had, and so did my companions. Because of the area, this spot draws a cross-section of people...Chihuahua game attendees, out of town visitors, businesspeople, tiki bar aficionados and some locals.

The ambiance is dark and mysterious with an island vibe. The staff is welcoming and fun. Good for…read morefriends at the bar seating or the booths for more intimate conversations. The Hawaiian hot dog was decent but I came for the drinks tbh. It's so fresh in there after a chihuahuas game- walking distance !! Try the different drinks bc they're so flavorful and will get you a little tipsy...
